Linda Savage

Tuesday
08:53 AM
Windy, 64F

It had been twenty hours and forty minutes since Linda had decided to take Oka under her wing and she was already regretting her decision. She had gotten up at the crack of dawn for there were a couple of things she had to handle before the meeting with the white-haired teen. She was a marine and though she was an unambitious one, she still had work to do. It was chilly outside which was a drastic change from the warm sometimes hot temperatures that had graced the island for the pass month. A quick look at the clouds would give anyone the assumption that the heaven’s was considering rather or not it should bless Swallow Island with an abundance of rain.

Linda wished it wouldn’t. She wasn’t a rain type of person despite the many hours at the bar it afforded her. She didn’t carry around an umbrella and she didn’t like the feeling of her hair and clothes glued to her body. That and the appearance of a drowned rat didn’t look good on her. So, yes, she would appreciate it if the universe decided that Swallow Island would be alright without rain. Especially since there was a teen that needed to be trained today and a wet terrain wasn’t ideal. She’d worry about getting Oka use to fighting in horrible weather if she managed to impress her or maintain her interest.

It was a little before the clock struck nine when Linda strode into the pub she had met that white-haired teen at. She didn’t expect to see the teen since she hadn’t actually given the kid a time. So, she would be pleasantly surprised if she saw a mop of white hair and blues eyes staring at her.

Oka

oka takanashi, princess of lvneel

“Linda!”

Oka proclaimed as she abruptly rose from one of the few tables scattered around the pub. With a smile on her face and relief evident in her eyes, the princess approached the woman that would be teaching her martial arts. She had been worried Linda had forgotten or wouldn’t come given the current weather conditions, so she was delighted to know that she didn’t need to worry. Linda was a marine, of course the woman would have duties to attend to before meeting up. She should’ve have arrived as early as she did, but at least she was there before Linda and hopefully that conveyed how important this was to her.

“Good morning.”

She chirped, the teen now several feet in front of her mentor. She missed the surprised look that crossed Linda’s face, though she wouldn’t have been able to catch it even if she had been paying attention. The expression had, after all, vanished as quickly as it had appeared - probably replaced by the smile Oka felt was genuine.

The princess tilted her head to the left, her smile replaced by a look of curiosity that reached her eyes. She was sort of curious on where Linda planned to take her to receive training. She wasn’t aware of any suitable spots where one could practice, though she also knew absolutely nothing about Swallow Island. To be frank, the only island she knew intimately was Lvneel and that was her kingdom, so it would be a shame if she didn’t know it well.

“Um… where are we going?”
