Days and days and days of doing nothing but patrolling around the same streets over and over and over again could become quite exhausting for the common man. And it was, though whether Wade could be considered a "common man" is up to debate. In any case, Wade was actually doing his job of patrolling for the last few weeks (shockingly) without any complaint or even attempt at hiding away somewhere. He figured he might as well. He was a Marine after all. Though, that somewhat weak motivation had already run out and, once again, Wade was bored and lazy, not willing to simply patrol today. Speaking of the day, it was quite sunny and beautiful. There was not a single cloud in the sky. The sea winds blew gently onto the land, cooling the inhabitants and providing a rather relax atmosphere.

Coming back to Wade, he was at his limits. He had woken up quite early today to the sound of sirens, which turned out to be a false alarm. A stupid prank. With a groan that turned into a yawn, he looked about and spotted a rather rundown bar. Looking about to make sure there weren't any others around, Wade hurried into the establishment. It was somewhat dark inside of the place, numerous candles illuminating the interior Numerous tables were scattered about and at the opposite end of the bar was the barkeep and his drinks. Taking the table in the leftmost corner, Wade sat and propped his feet up. He slowly turned his top hat backwards, hiding the Marine symbol as he slowly closed his eyes. Since there were about 3 groups of people in there (12 total minus Wade and the barkeep) he knew he wouldn't be able to sleep with the commotion. Rather, he simply closed his eyes, resting them as he listened around him for anything of interest.

Appearance:

Ahhh, Baterilla. It was finally good to be "home" once again. Marcel just stepped off of the ferry unto the docks along with others who were riding. He was wearing his usual attire with his prized katana strapped to his left hip, sheathed, and his iron chest plate equipped, hidden completely under his shirt.  A small smile grew on the samurai's face as he took in the fresh salt air, and the familiar setting. He hasn't been back to this island since the ordeal with the Saber Society, and his step father's funeral. A small sigh escaped Law's lips before beginning his walk into the town.

The moment he entered, he was instantly greeted by some familiar faces, telling him that it's been a while, comments about how he's grown, how's being a "medical samurai" treating him and if he's feeling alright about what happen with his step father of course. The grateful red eyed pirate couldn't help, but smile at this attention. These were pretty much the people who helped him, and his mother settle in to this island, and pretty much the Blues in general after they came all the way from Wano. They were there for him when his mother died, and they were there for him when his step father died. They were as much as family to him as his real family.

After the short reunion, Law continued walking through the town, just taking everything in until he stumbled upon a familiar looking bar. He remembered walking past this bar a lot when he was a child when he accompanied his mother to her job. It certainly has seen better days. Marcel looked at it for a little, debating whether to take a look inside while also thinking back at his last encounter in a shady bar, causing him to cringe a little, but would then shrug a little before walking in. He was on a friendly term with most of the people on this island, so hopefully things won't go south.

Marcel entered the candle lit establishment, seeing that others were in here as well as a man wearing a top hat appearing to be asleep by himself. Law glanced at the man before looking around at the others. The seats seemed pretty much filled so yet again he let out another soft sigh, and sat down at the same table as this man, quietly sitting on the opposite end to not disturb him as he waited for someone to come by to take his order.

Wade listened intently to the world around him as he rested his eyes, hearing all sorts of things from the usually indiscernible. He heard bits and piece of conversation here and there. Things ranging from "Hello my old friend, how has life been treating you?" to "that was the best snuff I ever smoked in my entire life". Various unimportant things. He eventually heard someone attempt to play a instrument, to bring music to the bar, but was quickly silenced at the sound of a thud and painful groan which was followed by "SHUT YOUR DAMN TRAP". Charming little buggers, aren't they? Soon enough, however, Wade heard the swinging of doors. Someone must've just come in. Oh course, however, the White Giant made no attempt to open his eyes...not until he heard the chair in-front of him move and heard the sound of someone sitting. Removing his feet from the table Wade stretched out and yawned, showing his immense size to whomever was viewing him before cracking his eyes open to view who his "guest" was. Upon doing the painstaking task, Wade looked at the young man before him.

He seemed physically fit and was sharply dressed. He bore long, raven hair and seemed to still be quite youthful. Upon the observation of his clothing, Wade suddenly looked down, making sure to see what HE was wearing as he honestly couldn't remember. He breathed a sigh of relief as he saw his usual set-up. White blazer, black dress-shirt, black slacks and shoes, along with his white top hat and black, fingerless gloves. Noting that he had turned his hat around earlier, Wade flashed his signature creepy smile and nodded to the young man out of politeness. "Mornin' lad." He said smoothly and calmly, relaxing into his chair as he crossed his arms, having yet to blink as he stared at the man, waiting for a response.

The scent of alcohol filled this establishment like the plague. There was no sign of fresh air unless you poked your head out of one of these windows. Law glanced over at the other customers with an unamused expression. He didn't really recognize any of these strangers, but then of course he has never been in this establishment before. Felt just like his first day at Briss Kingdom now. Something he'd rather not want to remember.

He heard the man sitting on the other side shifting his body, and stretching, but didn't pay him any mind. Law was more interested in trying to figure out who was going to take his order. Suddenly, the man he sat with spoke, causing the pirate to glance over to him. The first thing he witnessed was that weird looking smile of his. With an eyebrow raised, Law responded with a, "Well aren't you just a bubble of sunshine." before rubbing the back of his head. The samurai went back to looking at the others before looking down a little. Wasn't really like him to get snarky so fast.

"My apologies." he said before looking over to the tall man. "Environments like these tend to make me...cranky." he shrugged before looking out the window on the wall beside him. The samurai looked out at the glorious day. People were outside enjoying themselves, laughing amongst each other while others were about to go fish, or happily get to work at their favorite jobs.

Wade's rather.........unsettling expression didn't falter in the least as the young man did his little witty remark. That is, until he went back to observing the crowd that filled the bar. The moment he wasn't looking, Wade's face darkened, forming a sort of sneer at the rather rude comment. Wade himself wasn't easy to agitate, but he was quite tired and, thus, was more easily irritable. Of course, however, he wasn't going to show it. That'd be rude. So of course, the moment he saw the young man moving his head again, he immediately went back to his former expression, smiling as he stared at him. He listened intentively to his words, and slowly nodded. "I don't mind. People 'round here tend to react the same way." Wade would calmly say as he raised his hand, showing it was no real trouble.

Soon enough, a waitress arrived. She was dressed in a simple...well..dress, that was faded and was white in color. Her hair was red and was styled into curls. She had dark skin and seemed to be at least 24. She looked sweetly at Marcel and almost just went straight to him before she noticed the giant man that sat across from him. Staring a bit too much at Wade, she held up her notepad. "What do you two want.....?" She asked awkwardly, taking out a pencil. "Soda...if ya have it." Wade mumbled before cracking each of his fingers individually, trying to wake up. "Also, what's your name, son?"

"I'd imagine so given the condition of this place." Law added as he looked back in the man's direction. Marcel tilted his head slightly at the strange smile. He was growing a little uneasy about it, but not enough to try, and find another seat. He could, no, IS an asshole, but not a rude one if that's even possible. Maybe he just got a kick out of spooking people like that, or rather just a pretty friendly guy like most of the residents of this island.

A waitress finally arrived to the two's table with a sweet smile as she looked at the samurai who gave her a small smile in return. He couldn't deny that she looked attractive, but he wasn't the type to try, and randomly sway women unless it benefited him professionally. The moment she looked at Wade however gave off a...different reaction. One that couldn't help, but cause the black hair pirate to chuckle softly. After she finished nervously asking for their orders, Law waited for the scary one to make his order.

"A glass of water will be fine." he told the waitress before she bowed a little, and walked away. A moment of silence filled the air much to Marcel's pleasure. He looked down at the ground, briefly in his thoughts. The sound of bone cracking breaking the silence caused Law to raise his head up almost instinctively as the guy began to talk.

"Hmm, I would rather hear your name first, stranger." Marcel said with a smirk. He wasn't really much into given out his name to begin with due to the things he has done. Wouldn't want the wrong people finding out who he is even though being out in the open like this would pretty much tip that off.

Wade let out a small chuckle at the smirk of the young man. He was finally opening up at the very least. Beats just sitting there in awkward silence as they wait for drinks. "Wade." The smiling man would say without any trouble. "Wade Lamar Bainbrydge." Wade himself didn't see any danger of saying his full-name...ever really. It was more polite that way and usually helped ensure a sort of trust between him and the person he is talking to. "Now then, wh-" Perhaps just to annoy him, the waitress soon returned with both of their requested drinks. She happily placed the water in-front of Marcel before rather cautiously placing a bottle of soda in-front of Wade. "Than-" Before he could finish she was already off, scurrying back into where the barkeep was. "-k you....." Wade finished, his tone slightly defeated as his smile somewhat reverted from creepy to a "it's alright" smile. Looking done for a mere second, however, he quickly brought his attention back to the sharply dressed young man before him, his smile returning back in full as he resumed speaking."Now then....what's your name?"

Wade would ask this as he reached over and grabbed his drink with a giant hand, effortlessly flicking the cap off with his thumb as he took a sip. "I mean..." He suddenly said, "...if you don't want to though...it's fine..."

"Wade Lamar Bainbrydge?" the samurai repeated, placing a hand under his chin as he tried to think back, wondering if he has heard of this name before. Unfortunately he came up with nothing, and instead replied with a, "Well...that's a mouthful." Law didn't expect for this stranger to give out his full name like that, but then again he may have not done anything that would lead him to wanting to hide his name.

Marcel was then ready to answer Wade's question until the attractive waitress made her way back to their table with the drinks. Marcel nodded at the sweet smiling woman as she placed his water down, saying, "Thank you." before she placed Wade's drink down at him with a not so pleasant expression, scurrying off before he could thank her. "I think she likes you." the samurai replied in a bit of a sarcastic tone as he picked up his glass. He took a sip as Wade asked for his name following up with a generous gesture.

He then twirled the glass around a little, watching the water spin around before saying, "Well, if it were really fine, you wouldn't have asked me in the first place." Marcel then looked up at the man, placing his glass back down. "Marcel.....Marcel Law." the black haired pirate responded. Giving out his name like that was pretty risky due to the things he's done in the past, it wouldn't be a surprise if Marines were here looking for him right now given how many people know him on this island.

"So...what brings you here, Bainbrydge? Pretty sure you're not from around these parts. But then again I haven't been here in a while."

Wade let out a simple "hmph" at the comment of the waitress liking him. Ignoring the little comment as to whether it was fine or not, Wade listened the young man spoke his name. Marcel Law. "Hmmm..." Wade seemingly mused the name in his head for a few moments before simply shrugging. "I like it." He said simply as he took another swig of his drink, listening to what the young man had to say next. "Eh..." Wade began as he parted his mouth from the battle. He wasn't so sure that saying he was a Marine was a good idea for several reasons. One being that the main reason why he came in here and hid the Marine symbol on his hat was to avoid work and being spotted by any other Marine. In-fact...that was really his primary reason. "My job makes me travel alot...if you catch my drift." Wade would say, placing the half-empty bottle on the table. There was also a good chance that there were criminals in this bar...criminals who wouldn't mind ganging up on a Marine, and Wade simply didn't want to deal with it.

"And you, Marcel? You said you ain't been here for sometime. Did ya grow up here way back when or....?" Wade inquired as he slightly leaned back in his chair, getting comfortable.

"Eh, not as long, and interesting as your name." Law shrugged at the compliment. Marcel glanced at his new acquaintance, waiting for an answer. He found it pretty odd, and interesting that he was taking this long to answer, almost as if he had something to hide. Perhaps some underground organization that he wasn't allowed to mention? Maybe he's hiding out from the law which would be kind of weird since this would be the first place marines would check for criminals.

"Hmm..." Law hummed at the tall man's ominous answer. "Mysterious." he replied with a small grin. He was curious about this job of his, but wasn't the type to pry into anyone else's business. Instead, Marcel took a good around, noticing that two obviously intoxicated guys were about to get into a little altercation at one of the other tables. The samurai looked back at the man in front of him, giving a small nod before saying, "Yeah, pretty much grew up here, but this isn't my birthplace. I may not look like it now, but I originated from the W-" before he could continue, a sound of glass shattering interrupted the pirate. He glanced over in the direction of that table seeing that one of the drunks smashed their glass mug against the other one's head, who was now face down on the table stained with blood. The obnoxious cheering of the victorious drunk, and those around him caused Marcel to shake his head slightly. How a beautiful island like this would harbor such a destructive location made the man sick to his stomach. He was tempted to ending those fools right then, and there. One of his hands slowly hovered over the hilt of his katana, but the samurai would fight these urges, taking a deep breathe before placing that hand back on the table.

Wade couldn't help but feel slightly flattered. His name was interesting? Well then...he wasn't told that everyday. In any case, Wade simply shrugged at the word "mysterious". "I guess you can say that in this case." He would reply as his eyes suddenly darted to two drunken men, cursing at each other and such for whatever reason. As much as it annoyed him, Wade kept his agitation to himself. At the very least they weren't making THAT much noise. That being said, Wade's eyes returned to Marcel as began to speak once making, listening to his words before he slightly jumped at the sound of glass shattering. He turned back to the two men from before. One was prancing about with a broken glass mug, while the other was face-down on a table as blood seeped from the wound.

Wade closed his eyes and simply sighed. Oh how he hated the noise that was brewing from that. All the drunk men shouting in their dopey voices. He couldn't helped but grip onto his glass bottle of soda, which after a few moments shattered due to how hard he was holding it. "Marcel." Wade said, the kindness in his voice gone and his smile having finally disappeared as he watched the two men. "May we go outside to continue?" Wade stopped caring if he was noticed at this point. So long as he can escape from this ruckus of drunkeness and stupidity.
