"Where's Julius when you need em!" Malachai stressed as John and Jafar watched. They glanced over at each other almost ready to laugh but held their composure because they knew Kuro had quite the temper. Not only that, but he could crush them in a second if he truly wanted to. Like everyday on Tundra it was cold, but the cluds were clear and above Giant screeching birds could be seen going about their day.

"Bro I told you, we don't need Lord Julius' help."
"Yeah, we can just go through-
"Right! Let's walk through the frozen forest so all the wildlings can capture and kill us. Not like you two can fight."

The three of them spoke in an open field where they originally came to train. They were between two almost completely destroyed and probably abandoned house, Each house being 15 meters away from where the three of them had been, which meant they were directly in the middle of the field. After only a few routines Kuro began to over think the situation he'd been dealing with. It was pretty simple, true, but he was more worried about the lives of his friends. Without them he had no chance of even getting to Lord Finchers. If Julius had been around when he needed him then this all would be simple, but noooo.

"Kuro, we wouldn't be here if we didn't think we could all do this. You want to destroy pirates Den, that's a pretty damn good thing if you ask me. The Good triumph. Just think, not only would you be known worldwide, but you'd also be on the Marines good side."

But he ain't care about all that extra shit. His only goal was to destroy Pirates Den and perhaps even recreate it to help expand Julius' powers over the seas. He hardly had control over his devil fruit abilities, and he's yet to awaken his lineage abilities. Right now all he had was two tonfas and his brute strength and speed - which I will admit was probably enough to get him to Lord Fincher, but would not be enough against an entire army of Pirates. Especially since he was leading his own army, he needed to make sure he was ready for ANYTHING.

"Fuck the Marines. It'll be good to expand your little pet shop. Imagine what creatures are on Pirates Den."

Needless to say that both his peers had different views on things, they were both right. Right now on Tundra he could hardly offer anything. He had a few wolves and baby birds but that's as good as it was gonna get. It was time to really get to work. In the beginning he thought he could just go on with his entire plan in one week tops, but he realized it took time. He would be on Tundra for a little longer than expected, and in the north for an even longer time. There was still stuff that had to be done.

"Ah man. Wish I could just get it over with but I guess there's more training and other shit I need to do before that can even happen."
"Look on the brightside... Pirates Den has no idea what's in store for them."
"Yeah, just stop bitchin' it'll all work out, it just takes time."

Ataru started his morning with a cup of tea and some kind of animal egg he had traded for in a nearby village. Shortly after he did his regular hygiene getting dressed in his usual outfit, except for he had padded it with fur since this island was colder than he was used too. He hadn't been sure if this island was his cup of tea but the people were generally honest and the marines kept the people in the small towns safe enough. He was traveling just outside one of these towns admiring the scenery and looking for inspiration for one of his newest inventions. It had been a couple days since his last one, he still had to take the time to assemble his boots as well, not that he expected to be fighting any aquatic battles in a place like this. The water would surely kill him from shock before he could think to swim, but then again who knows.

So far he had managed to neglect the most obvious landmark of the land. Julius Cease's fortress, that was a place he could advance his swordsmanship. That's if they even considered what he did swordsmanship, he found that most swordsman did not. They made analogies to parlor tricks or gadget jokes, not that it mattered to Ataru he found his methods quite effective. That was when he realized he had been wandering for quite some time without observing his surroundings. Looking around he saw two destroyed houses, and some people talking. He couldn't hear what they were saying from how far away they were. Ataru knew that in a war torn country like this there were only two ways conversations went, so he prepared himself for the dangerous option while hoping for the peaceful.

Ataru didn't really have a knack for stealth so as he started to walk towards the clearing he would speak "Hello, I am quite lost are you guys from around here?". He prefered to keep his ice breakers simple anything to complicated could get lost in translation. Especially when dealing with foreign cultures he had no knowledge of, he really could use his friend right about now. If they decided to speak with Ataru he would move closer to them being cautious of any sudden movements or signals. He would give his name if they introduced themselves and listen to what they had to say.

If they didn't respond or told him to bug off or otherwise Ataru would start walking in the opposite direction but glancing backwards every couple seconds to be sure he wasn't being followed.

From the corner of his eye Kuro could see a person approaching the trio, yet he remained forward to talk to his peers. Both his tonfa remained on his back crossing each other to create an 'X' shape. Because the man had been coming from behind Jafar and John, they wouldn't be able to see him until he spoke. The man who spoke didn't look like he was from around Tundra for many reasons, but one being because of what he'd been wearing. His words startled both John and Jafar as they jumped from off the rocks they'd been sitting on to face the stranger.

"Of course we're from around here man! You scared the shit out of us!" Malachai attempted to remain serious moments before Jafar spoke, but his response only caused him to laugh hysterically. Kai pointed at Jafar, making fun of him for being a dramatic little cunt. "You pussy as fuck yo! Bwahahahahaha!!" While Jafar ignored Kuro and glared at the man before him while John took the lead momentarily.

"Yeah we're from Tundra, sorry about the red head. I'm John, that's Jafar, and this is-"

"Malachai." The young dragon wouldn't even give his friend time to finish as he interrupted. It hardly took him a minute to stop laughing and get serious again. Who the hell was this? & What was he looking for. Just after Kai stated his name he slowly moved forward, closing the distance between him and the stranger but ready attack if he needed to. He didn't feel like shouting like John or Jafar did, so instead he would stop at 3 meters away from the man. "Who are you?" As blunt as it gets. Unlike his peers, Kuro had participated in a war. He knew that there would always be war on Tundra as long as multiple factions existed. Who's to say that this man isn't an enemy of Juilius Cease, his legal guardian.

It was quite the scene that Ataru caused for the group of gentlemen. Though the one who approached him now, he seemed to be in charge and introduced himself as Malachai, was asking for his name. Not a problem Ataru had rehearsed many different types of introductions, not sure which would be best for this situation he'd wing it."Hello I am Ataru, I'm a traveling Merchant who specializes in dials. I was wondering if you would mind talking to a traveler for a second. You see this is my first time ever entering Tundra, I couldn't help but wander and now I'm very very lost. I am by myself and only have what I'm carrying on me if you are thinking of robbing me I'm not to successful yet so there won't be much. Long story short could I perhaps travel with you gentlemen for a bit at least to the nearest village?" Ataru didn't want to reveal to much information about himself but he figured this was adequate enough. He was also very aware of what the situation looked like, he preferred to be outnumbered it usually lowered the tension of stranger danger. The best deals often breed from paranoia and mistrust.

Malachai and Ataru were pretty close to each other and as he finished his introduction he would offer his hand out to shake. It wasn't very tactical but Ataru believed firmly in using manners when meeting new people. He wasn't sure what Malachai would say to his offer. There would surely be more conversation or if he accepted Ataru would follow behind him. He had many questions for this native of the land, yet he didn't want to come off to strong. It was something that he had been beaten for many times, people needed to be lead to the water not thrown inside it. The lashes and bruises phantom pain compelling Ataru to remain silent at least for a little time. Observing his setting he could see the others who had introduced themselves, it must be odd for him to be traveling alone. The first thing he would ask about was the castle, it was unlikely and probably racist to assume that every native knew Juilius so he would start with his castle. His real interest was in Juilius, Ataru had been looking for someone to study under. However unlikely it was that one of the greatest swordsman would look to Ataru, a dial swordsman for his next trainee. The hope still burned a little in his heart, he knew one thing for sure these men were warriors. At least the one who had walked up to him was his tonfas looked pretty serious, he hoped that he wouldn't have to see his skills too soon.

Kuro wrote:

Malachai watched him as he spoke. His words seemed to be sincere, or at least he couldn't actually tell if he was lying. In the background Jafar and John remained quiet, watching the meeting happen before them. They whispered amongst themselves, but Malachai paid them no attention. The brown skinned man called himself Ataru then proceeded to explain that he was a travelling merchant who specialized in dials. Kuro hadn't heard much of dials because there weren't many people on Tundra who sold them. A lot of people preferred to use their own strength and not fancy gadgets and shit. In a nutshell Ataru needed help getting to the nearest village. What he wanted or what he was looking for was a mystery. Who the hell would want to see this place anyway? Tundra was one of those places you hear about and assume the worst. It wasn't safe and if you did travel here it was because you were sure you were strong enough to hold your own. This man had to be some strong dude then right?

Ataru extended his hand forward for Malachai to grab. Without a doubt this man was bold...either that or just straight idiotic. Whatever it was that convinced him to even approach the trio, he liked it. "You're an outsider. You know what that means?" He paused before extending his hand forward and gripping Ataru's hand. "It means your chances of dying are slightly higher than mine, but I'll take you to my village." A smirk appeared on his face as he began to shake Ataru's hand. Maybe this was the start to a new friend, a new ally who could contribute to his cause. Perhaps Fate wanted him to reclaim his position as Malachai of the noble Ryu family.

"Well, you get going Kuro me and Jafar are gonna go get some supplies for the ship."

Kai looked back and nodded at his friends before facing the stranger. If this man really wasn't who he said he was then Kuro would most likely have to kill him... not that he would mind doing it, he loved killing. Hopefully he wouldn't be bringing an enemy closer towards Julius' headquarters.

"Let's get going." He said as he began walking in the direction Ataru came from.

Malachai did not reciprocated Ataru's gesture at first while speaking, then after his first pause he would. His words could be seen as threat Ataru on the other hand saw it as a fair warning, one that likely held some grain of truth. He smiled as he spoke "I thank you for the kind warning Sir Malachai, what is it that you do around here if you don't mind me asking? Ataru would ask this before they started to move. He still wasn't entirely sure of how the situation was playing out for the Natives, when they started to split up though it eased his mind a little.

Malachai motioned for Ataru to follow him and once they started walking for a couple steps Ataru would ask his second question. There is a saying in Baltigo black market that a drunk mind speaks a sober heart, he'd probably try that tactic first if possible when it came to his first sell. He could tell from the Malachai's reaction that the people here didn't seem to invest too much in the prowess of dials. Which was fine since that was the majority of the sea, he didn't need to convince everyone just enough people. He also needed to become stronger in order to convince others, something he could definitely achieve on this island. Deciding from his conversation so far Ataru would go with a blunt approach speaking again to Malachai. "The other reason I came here however is to train, you see I wanted to see first hand what inspires one of the greatest swordsman of the generation. Ataru didn't mention his name there was no need, he knew that his message was to vague to indicate a side. That was on purpose Ataru preferred to stick to his own side as long as possible in conversation. It is always easy to be responsible for yourself. Lessons learned long ago echoed through his mind.

The scenery of Tundra was still fresh in Ataru's mind the pure carnage of the far of plains could be heard. The snow seemed to imply peace, in his current surroundings. He wondered how much red snow the 3 natives had seen, perspective was different with each individual. It could be a winter wonderland in the right conditions children playing and laughing. That always made for a good night of sales with no worries of robbery. Still the cacophony of the battles still raged through the background. Ataru wondered if the noise ever truly stopped or if you just moved away from it. Soon he hoped to hear the sound of a village or town instead, though Ataru still had no idea where exactly they were going. He was starting to wonder if they were attracting attention, because out of the corner of his eye he swore he caught movement. It might of been just his imagination he had heard tales of fierce animals in this country. A place where everything seemed to be a struggle. I hope the same isn't true for the trading, or else I have wasted valuable time. Thinking back to Rosa, he wondered how much closer the log pose was to saving. It was odd to think that he'd have to find his own way to the New World with Mangetsu and Enryu missing.

Before Malachai began to move, he'd listen as Ataru asked him what he did around Tundra. Ignoring the question he began to walk, figuring Ataru would follow after him. He did. Clouds began to take over the sky but it would probably not rain. For some reason there wasn't much rainfall on the land of Tundra, only snow. One more Ataru began to speak, stating that his primary reason for coming to Kuro's home was to for Julius. A smirk was his only reply. For a moment there was silence, but of course the last dragon just couldn't help himself. "To Answer your first question, I don't really do much... Sometimes I domesticate the animals of Tundra and sell them to my people, especially those beautiful beasts during war." His finger pointed upward at a giant vulture like bird screeching and taking the skies. The young warrior could hear something just after his sentence was put to an end. To his right, since Ataru had been to his left there were bushes approximately 10 meters away from him. By now the two were off the field on which they started. Still, he spoke, confident that he would be able to take on whatever was in those bushes if there was even anything in them.

"Now about Julius, I advise you not to waste your time looking for him. He hardly stays home and I doubt he'll have time to train you..." Just thinking about Julius always being gone slightly upsetting him. "He doesn't even have time to train me anymore." At the very moment it happened. From the bushes which Kuro noticed movement about 20 individuals jumped out yelling like bafoons and wearing white camouflaged clothing that allowed them to blend in with the snow. From behind them about 10 men ran, yelling out words he didn't understand. From Ataru's side about another 20 men would swarm. Immediately Malachai stopped and drew his Tonfas. Both weapons in his palms ready to be utilized. He would only glance at Ataru to see how he would react. Was he a fighter? Could he fight? Or would he die here today. He probably didn't even understand what was happening now that Kai thought about it. "Looks like we've been followed this entire time." he would whisper. "You ready to fight?" Despite his friends going the opposite way, he really hoped they were safe. He needed them, and if they died his cause was probably nothing.

Just from the black face paint he already knew that these were people from the Zuku tribe. A few years back his faction went to war with them. Of course it was won, but one could only imagine the devestation Julius bestowed upon them. Houses were destroyed, women were killed and young children were stolen or sold. It was nothing personal...just...war.

The field between the two destroyed homes were deserted, or thought to be. It was dumb of him to come to Zuku territory though, even if they didn't own it any more. Everyone knew that Malachai was of value to Julius Cease. They would probably use him to get to Julius... maybe. There were 50 people that him and his new ally would have to fight. They circled around the two with their daggers, swords and spears, breathing heavily and looking more bloodthirsty than they'd been during the war. One man stepped forward, his face familiar.

"Malachai Snow, Julius' adopted bastard, what a pleasant surprise. We were just on our way to your village to destroy it like your people did to ours, I guess killing you first is a bonus, ahekekekeke!" Malachai remained silent as he prepared for battle. Literally nobody called him snow, at least not since he was a child, he'd gain too much respect for that now. This man was just being disrespectful. Nobody moved though, not even the enemies...

The conversation was going swimmingly, at least Ataru assumed it was. Malachai was either humble or he didn’t seem to have a lot of responsiblity. Ataru was very intrested in having one of the birds he pointed at when he mentioned his taming. It seemed that Julius was mostly absent, Malachai was starting to talk more when people appeared from the bushes. They had gone unnoticed because of their camouflage gear, it was genius blending in with the snow. Ataru was already slightly upset, this wouldn't be the first time he had been jumped while traveling. I swear it's like I'm walking around with a bullseye on my head. Ataru wasn't sure these men were hostile just yet, but he had his right arm hovering near his sheathed sword. That was when Malachai asked if he was ready to fight, Ataru wouldn't respond this man said he was a warrior as well. He'd be able to improvise off Ataru or at least offer a helping hand he doubted Julius trained just anyone.

He would extend both his left and right arms out shooting 4 axe dial air blades in total. His left arm would be aimed at the 10 that were screaming in some language behind them. Once again the effect was more disastrous then Ataru had expected. The men had no idea what was coming at them as the front man tried to block it. The air blade sliced through his weapon and cut him clean in half while only leaving a large cut on the man behind him, the second attack had a similar effect taking out 4 of the 10 men that were running at Ataru. The right arm was pointed at the group of 20 who were less dispersed in their charge. The two blades cut down 10 of the 20 men.

As soon as he had fired Ataru also charged the group of 20 men that were coming from his direction. He assumed that with the Axe dial cutting down those two groups they would try to encircle him. As soon as he was in range a spear came thrusting at Ataru from the rear of the remaining 20 snow dressed men. He guarded against the thrust with his blade, while sidestepping a slash inteded for his back. He had been correct in his assumption the other 6 men had joined the remaining 10 creating 2 circles of 8 around Ataru. They had wised up from earlier none were standing directly behind each other. His blade began to glow red from the activation of his heat dial. The snow that touched the blade would let off steam vapors.

His first swing cut through the man’s sword like butter, and Ataru took off the mans left elbow on the downward arc. Before he could even let out a scream Ataru was slashing at the second man mimicking the first. He wondered how the other man was doing he would take a cursory glance just in case he needed assistance. If he didn’t he continue fighting his group. Another man had stepped in making the circles 7 and 7 to match the new numbers. Sword fighting was fast paced for Ataru, usually trading maybe one to three slashes before a victor was decided. The 7 swordsman circling Ataru were using a different tactic, one would move forward to try and create an opening for the others.

Knowing the best way through something so deliberate is chaos, numbers mean a lot less in chaos. He had to disrupt the battlefield, though he didn’t want to use something like that just yet. Ataru was fighting to not reveal too much of his style in case they were probing. He decided to rush one of the swordsman's blade cut through and he sliced the man in half. The horror of doing so would hit Ataru later in the battle, the two swordsman behind Ataru as well as 2 spearmen would try to hit his backside. Using his left arm while activating his haki, Ataru blocked the blades. The circle widened out and reformed realizing what Ataru was attempting. He’d go on the defensive while he planned accordingly.

Icha Zukuma:

As suspected the small army of Zuku men focused on Ataru, while their leader focused more on Malachai. Immediately as the battle began Ataru struck 4 out of the ten that'd been coming from behind them while 20 men from Kai's side began charging towards them. Their leader remained behind the entire commotion, watching closely to see what the two of them would do. Kuro leaped into the air as the men came towards him, his plan was to just go in and rekt shit at this point. He knew that with his abilities this was probably not even a real match. However, as he did leap into the air the Zuku's tribe leader leaped as well allowing his daggers to connect with his Tonfas and shifting his body quick enough while in the air to roundhouse Kuro, sending him crashing into the forest from behind the bushes in which they came. Quickly the last dragon stood. "Since when did the Zuku tribesmen master martial arts? No more savage style?" A smirk became evident upon his face as he taunted his opponent. For some reason he couldn't remember this man's name.

"Since I realized how beneficial fighting like you scum actually is. I'm not the same man your father met back then."
"Then I guess he should have killed you back then. Sparing your life was stupid of him, heh."
"Oho! That day he spared my life showed me exactly what I didn't want to be. My father died fighting for his people while I ran...like a coward. Now-"

Not a moment after the word "Now", Malachai dashed forward towards his enemy, aiming only one of his tonfa at his opponent who easily countered by swinging his dagger upward. That's his name! The connection of their weapons reminded Kai of who he was dealing with. Except last time this arrange of blows ended with him being the victor easily. This time seemed different. Without wasting any time, Kuro leaped back to the spot he was before whilst throwing one of his tonfa at his opponent. Quickly the man sidestepped then opened his hand, releasing a fireball. Mimicking his enemy he as well sidestepped then dashed forward again, this time leaping into the air when he was within 5 feet and aiming his remaining tonfa downward. He didn't actually expect to kill the Zuku leader with this one blow. Looking upward the enemy simply stood there and before Kuro knew it the tonfa slammed onto his head.

"Icha Zukuma, the bearer of the snow logia fruit. I remember now."

The Tonfa stabbed into the snow burried ground as Icha disappeared and reappeared about 5 meters behind Kuro. "You're weak. You may be a better fighter than me, but you can't beat me. You can try to hit me, but you won't so just give it up, okay? You're going to die." Kai stood up straight and turned to face Icha. His back now towards Ataru as they were a bit deeper into the snowy forest. The young warrior frowned as he balled his fists up. Icha stood confidently with his arms crossed, waiting for something to happen. "Alright. So maybe you are a tough one, but don't get cocky! I don't like to lose.." Once again he dashed forward at max speed, attempting to punch his opponent directly in the face with max strength. His speed at this point was magnificent while his strength was even more impressive, but it was still not enough to land a scratch on Icha. The Zuku quickly reappeared behind Kuro who anticipated his movements accordingly. The last dragon slightly turned towards his enemy and threw a kick which was dodged once more. The process repeated for a minute. Malachai fought swiftly but all his attacks either went through the body of Icha or were dodged. Icha appeared behind Kai and slapped him with his backhand, sending him flying into a tree.

Damn it he thought. It sucked that he didn't understand how to use his devil fruit yet, and it sucked even more that his body wasn't cooperating correctly with it. If he tried to use it it'd probably backfire on him. With his back to the trunk of a random tree, he struggled to stand as Icha Zukuma made his way towards Kuro. "I'm..not going to d-die." His breath heavy as he spoke yet he still successfully pulled himself up. "Oh but you will, hoho!" It didn't take the Zuku tribe leader long to reach the person he so eagerly wanted to kill. He drew his dagger from his waist before speaking once more. "And now, for the grand finale." With those words he swung the dagger donward onto Kuro's neck, attempting to end it all with this single blow, but he would fail.

"I'd kill myself before being killed by weirdo like you."

A slightly visible white energy encased his entire body as he lifted his head up. Malachai's eyes met with Icha's eyes who obviously had no clue what was going on. Hell, Kuro hadn't a clue either. Once seeing that his enemy was off guard he began to attack with a barrage of attacks. First he would slam his knee into Icha's stomach, followed by a snuff to the jaw which then opened a door for a barrage of punches to Icha's body until finally a snuff to the face that would send him flying into a tree just as he Kuro did. Except this tree crashed down. Malachai was surprised at himself. He had no idea what was going on but he had no reason to complain. He looked down at his hand before opening it and closing it. This power...

"This is impossible...W-what ability is th-th-that!?

It was an interesting turn of event for Ataru, there weren't many men left around him. Further out on the scene he could see Malachai engaged in some kind of fight with the leader of the gang. He hoped that he was faring all right, he couldn't interrupt a battle like that. It could cause a shift in morale and that was the last thing Ataru needed at this moment. He needed quick action the refreshment of his axe dials would take longer than that, he still had his thunder at his disposal. He would have to make it in an arc which meant getting a better angle on all of the men.

Ataru would slash straight through one of the men not even stopping to see which weapon they carried he was moving to his top speed. Once he arrived 4 meters away from the men he would come to a halt, pointing his sword at them now a group he unleashed both charges of his thunder dial at once. The result two streams of lightning shot out at the group of 13 men. There was steam rising off the group of them as Ataru advanced forward cautiously weary of the survivors. It was the first silhouette that let him know he was still in for a fight he rushed at it, he wanted to act on the chaos. Slicing through the mans leg and bringing his blade upwards to cut the dominant hand the man fell screaming. The others silhouettes sharpened there were 4 of them in total, more than Ataru expected then again he was passively aiming to not kill. He didn't really enjoy murder as much as the other swordsman, it wasn't something he was to keen to discuss. He would move swiftly the spearman almost caught him cutting part of his ear but Ataru was more comfortable in the haze than his adversaries. He cut the man spear into bits then swung the flat of his blade hard connecting with the man's jaw he fell to the ground unconscious. The next two had managed to get semi close to each other Ataru played on their fears. Tossing pieces of the battlefield around them to keep them on their toes. Ataru decided to finally end their pain cutting through both of their weapons as they put their weapons up. Ataru's blade heat still had steam hissing from the snow the blood of both men hissed along with it, it wasn't clear where the blood and snow started once it all cleared up. There were two swordsman standing. Ataru was 1 meter away from the man he was shaken by the sight of his comrades littered around him. Most were alive but a select few had departed this world. Ataru had not yet had time to survey it earnestly locking eyes with the swordsman Ataru charged him full speed. The man tried to make an honest attempt but he didn't stand much of a chance against his speed Ataru made sure to leave him a non lethal cut. He admired moxy in swordsman it was important, to learn failure if one was to grow.

He would watch Malachai now there were 20 men still left watching the fight. Ataru would watch 3 meters away from both groups cautiously in case they decided to move against him. Ugh I would help, but I know that a real warrior wouldn't want any. Not yet at least, if I can i'll make sure he doesn't die. He seems to be some kind of leader, this could also be some kind of cultural ritual.

Malachai

Icha Zukuma:

At this point the battle was presumed to have ended. Apparently he awakened an ability that allowed him to defend against attacks.Whether it could do other things was unknown but so far it was so so good. Kuro slowly made his way towards the enemy who'd seemingly give up as he lay flat on the ground. There was no talking, but he could no longer hear slightly distant fighting. Did Ataru win? Malachai had hoped so. As he made his way to Icha he ripped his Tonfa from out of the ground before spining it with his fingers and making it face the Zuku tribe member. They would no longer be a problem after today. Icha's hope was lost. He underestimated the last Ryu of the disregarded noble family. This was his fate, and it was his fault. Sometimes it is possible to change your fate - or at least he'd like to believe so. "Should've killed me when you had the chance." Right after he spoke he allowed his Tonfa to spear through his enemy. His snow form was apparently disabled or he just didn't care. Within seconds he'd be dead and his men would be next.

Quickly he turned his head to see Ataru near the battle and in the distance could see Zuku men standing with shocked expressions. It seems they had no clue on what to do. Glancing over at Ataru who was basically unscathed he could already tell this man was strong. 20 men left...and Malachai would spare all their lives. Their leader was dead, there was no reason to murder them although he enjoyed the thrill of it. "Zuku. Your leader is dead... Do you also want to die?" He would begin. They remained silent but obviously didn't want to die yet. "I don't want to kill any of you, so you have an option. You can join me, or you can leave as fast as you can, but the next time I run into you all I will destroy every single last one of you." He knew asking for them to join him was crazy, but he did it anyway. He wanted them to know that he wasn't the enemy. Their tribe started this war a while ago and now only a few of them remain. They were hesitant, but in the end they scattered like they didn't know each other at all. "Aha, that's embarrassing. I half expected them to join me, yo." He would say aloud as he scratched the back of his head. He was still glowing white, but he hadn't noticed at all. "You alright, Ataru?"

Ataru watched, Malachai as he killed the enemies leader. That brought about the death of the remaining enemies morale, you could see the intensity leaving their eyes. The snow was slowly covering the red of the battlefield. That was probably one of the appeals to this place, in a couple minutes no one would even be aware there was a battle here. Ataru wondered how many battlefield and corpses he had already walked on without a second thought since he had been in these lands. Looking around Ataru acknowledged some of the damage he had caused. It never seemed to get easier, no matter how many people he killed it always felt horrible. He wondered how the marines did it so easily, maybe it was drive he was lacking. His unease would be visible to Malachai, though he'd probably not know why.I split him in half, what am I becoming. This has got to stop, there has to be another way. Pull yourself together you haven't even arrived at the village yet, what did you expect out of this island.

The remaining enemies knew there was no chance, Ataru watched curiously to see what Malachai would do next he was proving to be an interesting enough man. Surprised he was, Malachai offered all of the remaining men a spot to serve him. A bold move, yet the remaining men still scattered like dandelions in the wind. Still cautious Ataru finally let go of his Buso Haki wrapping his left arm. He smiled thinking of where he acquired the powers while sheathing his sword. Malachai had spoken to him so Ataru smiled at him responding."I'm great, man I can see why this place is considered so dangerous. Is this a regular occurrence for you then? Also not to poke or prod but why are you glowing?"

Ataru hoped Malachai wouldn't be offended by the question, then again there weren't any other people he had met that glowed yet. He hoped it wasn't foreigners ignorance, he still intended to enter a trade agreement with Malachai. Hopefully he would be interested in the dials he had just seen in combat, Ataru preferred giving live performances to description. Especially in a place like this where might makes right, he had to show others how powerful dials could be. Like any tool they needed the right hand and the knowledge, the potency was well worth the trouble. He also hoped to see some of the animals that Malachai had caught when they arrived at the village. He liked to see products in person as well, he also loved animals. He hadn't seen any in quite some time that weren't either caged or being forced into specific work.

Icha Zukuma:

Looking at his new ally he could see a smile appear on his face as his arm returned to it's natural state and his sword was sheathed. Honestly after seeing how easy it was for him to defeat nearly the remainder of the Zuku tribe with those gadgets he used, it kind of made Kuro want to experiment with them. However, not many people on Tundra were fans of Dials for whatever reason but maybe they just were too stubborn to understand what they actually were. Times were changing, needless to say. Ataru responded saying that he was great. Malachai nodded before Ataru continued speaking. Firstly he asked if "This" was a regular occurence for him. Oddly enough he hasn't been in a fight like that in quite a while. Secondly he himself appeared to be glowing but did not realize until the man pointed it out. Nearly shocked, his eyes widened as he quickly looked down at his hands covered in a vibrant white aura-like cloak. "I'm trying to figure that out myself..." His voice was close to whispering but he made sure Ataru could hear him. Upon noticing that he was glowing, the aura began to dim until eventually it was gone. Julius never told Malachai much about his family, but he always made it clear that he was special. He made it clear that he would have unique abilities but could this be what he meant?

"C'mon, let's go!" He would say with a large cheeky smile as his eyes darted towards Ataru. Kai picked up his other Tonfa as he made his way towards his village which also happened to be the nearest one. "Hey, you use those dials like a fucking beast, I'm impressed. What exactly are they though?" He'd speak as he moved forward, honestly curious to know the secret of those items. He'd place his Tonfa on his back through a special carrier. Ataru was strong, more than likely stronger than the last dragon himself. Is it the dials that make him strong? he wondered.

Ataru was surprised to hear that Malachai didn't exactly know what was going on with himself.Looks like  other people don't understand themselves either. Slowly the glow faded away with the battle. It did all seem done now, even the battlefield was mostly covered. Malachai called to him before he could fade deeper into his thoughts, something Ataru was grateful for. They were moving again presumably towards the village, Malachai asked Ataru about his dials. Not even needing a second he showed him the palm of his gauntlet, tracing the outline of the dial in it to better visually conceptualize it. "Yeah, I've had a lot of practice since I help install them in devices. This one is one of my favorites I recently upgraded it, a little more powerful than I expected. Cut one of those men clean in half, I'm definitely thinking of installing a couple of these on my submarine. The one that sells the best though are the two on my sword. One is a heat dial that increases my swords temperature lets me cut through men and armor like butter. The other is thunder, no one really expects the thunder but with how many men wear metal on the battlefield its easy for it to arc and hit a couple. Had an old friend that could charge these up to be more powerful. That's the thing with dials think of them as storage containers you release things from them. Now imagine a storage container that's being filled while its being emptied it offers a stronger longer flow. GaHaha I could talk about this for hours but I don't want to bore you too much, if your interested I could always attach a couple dials to some of your gear. It could be something as simple as air streams to your tonfas to allow them to reach a velocity faster. Or it could be more complicated like an Oxygen dial in a sealed helmet for the ability to breathe underwater. Had to get you with at least one more sales pitch for the fight, Gahahaha.

Finishing his long winded speaking Ataru would look at Malachai while he responded. He had been in the business for a bit so it was unlikely that any response that Malachai has will offend him. He wondered how Malachai's village would see dials he knew they were often ill received in warrior villages. Ataru attributed this mostly to the fact that dials don't discriminate pretty much anyone can use one. That scares people who've had to work so hard for their power, but the funny thing is they don't see that they can just use them too. A message Ataru would bring to everywhere he went that Dials were effective in combat and life.
