Spoiler:

Vicktur had arrived at the room last night to see it had been cleaned. The corpse in the hallway was missing along with the pool of its filthy blood. When he showed up in the hotel no one made reference to the little mess he had made that same morning. It was almost like the whole incident had never taken place. But he knew better. Perhaps the Captain if the Kustoms had all evidence erased. Or maybe Vicktur was living in American Psycho. Either way, he didnt bring it up and neither did they. Nor did he intend to do so. At the moment he was just starting to wake up for the day. His room felt particularly empty without you-know-who there with him. He knew he needed to just let it go and move on with his life. "There are plenty of fish in the sea" as thet say. But Vicktur wasnt exactly interested in other fish. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes, and after a quick shower, put on his freshly washed clothes. It was the first time since he had arrived that they had been washed. So you could say they were much more impressive than before. But only by a little bit.

Vicktur left his room to find a envelope on the floor. Now what? he removed Super Tall from his back and sliced open the freshly sealed package. Pulling out the letter he read its contents; "It's regrettable to hear that you escaped your last encounter unscathed. My henchmen tell me you are quite proficient with a sword....good to know. This wouldnt be much fun otherwise. Today I mourn the loss of my precious Isabelle, who you so boldly took from me with the single pull of a trigger. Dirty cheating men like you will get your just desserts, I promise you. Just as you took something precious from me, I shall take your most cherished prize; your life. Enjoy what few hours you have left." What a bunch of nonsense. Vicktur didnt even own a gun. And even if he did he definitely wouldnt shoot a dog with it. Slicing it open would have a much better psychological effect. He crumpled up the paper and made a three-pointer into the rooms trash can. Then he made his way to wherever Yomi was. If things did go sour for him he'd prefer to have some back up.

The morning was refreshing as it brought new light to the city and made the atmosphere feel like you could accomplish anything, or maybe that was just the insane amount of coffee that Yomi had been drinking as she pulled another all nighter. It was probably the latter as she was pretty beat up trying to think of those new designs, a shotgun that could weather what space she had for it, was quite difficult to pin down really. One of these days she would have to get a proper lab like she had back home, rather than these ragtag locations that she ended up leaving behind. Considering all that had happened as well, Yomi knew that she would probably need to burn the basement down to the ground to destroy all of the evidence that she could, even if it would become a little bit obvious they were here, but since Vicktor had been so busy picking fights. Yomi didn't like how aggressive the boy was at times, it made sneaking around harder on many an occasion, which left Yomi having to pick up scraps and work even harder from the shadows to accomplish their goals. if it hadn't been for the revolution paying her then she wouldn't have even bothered with the whole stealth approach of any real warfare like tactics.

Honestly, she was a doctor and not a spy, but that didn't stop them from wishing for her to perform such a task. She had wished to just sit in a lab developing weapons for them and the like, but no her talents were apparently best suited to helping out a boy who just liked to pick a bunch of fights, that and her unethical treatment of a few subjects is probably what made them wish to give her the boot from the main labs. Still, she was getting paid and didn't have to do too much work, it was just all very risky, scouting out all the marines locations casually meant that she had to maintain a composure and appearance that was incognito, but if you have looked at Yomi you would find that she doesn't look very bland and normal. This is probably why she was remembered by the hotel staff right now, and also probably why she viewed all of it as a horrendous mistake to come here and be exposed, but no Vicktor liked nicer places, or at least that's the excuse she made up in her mind.

Almost cut off from the coffee for the fifth time, Yomi just kept tossing money at the guy, she needed caffeine and she needed it now, just in case some giant fight with a bunch of random elements broke out in the middle of nowhere or something. See, she had learned that Vicktor was always one to get himself in trouble and she was one to make it so that he could get out of it. Hopefully no one strange would approach her while she was on her relaxing binge right now, otherwise, she would have to whoop their ass in the best way she knew how, with science.

Hure was quite unsure about today. Yomi had asked her to meet at the hotel that she and Viktor had had their romp in. Grabbing the special guitar that Viktor had bought her not long ago, the musical instrument doubling as a double sided axe for when she needed to defend herself. After doing so she would leave the area she was in, the tavern in which she had was working until they left town. It was strange, knowing she would leave this place to be with people on a ship. A ship, as most would realize, was used to travel over water for long distances. As a Fishman she had no need for the use of one, simply swimming from place to place whenever she wanted to. Alas she had chosen to stick with others, for a multitude of reasons. One, as an escaped slave of a Celestial Dragon she would have the might of the marines looking for her eventually. Two, it meant that she could actually stay in contact with Viktor. Hell, she could stay in PHYSICAL contact with the tall man if everyone would allow it.

It wouldn't take the swimsuit-clad mermaid long to arrive, only to find what appeared to be a wired Yomi sitting in the restaurant-like are. "Uh, hey Yomi. Are you okay? You look like you could..uh...use a nap or something." Setting down her guitar, carefully against a table, the woman would sit down at a table near her. Who knew what they would be doing today, or why they needed to be here of all places.

Chesha

Chesha
’Zipper up, Alejandro covered, bag: all check.’ It’d been a few days since the girl met a fellow, a couple since he’d inhaled his final, shivering breath. Getting bloodstains out of already well stained floorboards had been a poor effort, something that resulted in a fairly large dark spot, but ultimately her plans went well. Bones were scattered wherever she could find some canines – from residential and pets to those poor babies stuck out on the streets. Those homeless cuties received an extra present usually, steaks and the more useless organs or those that hadn’t fit in the freezer. If there’d been proper time for it she’d have liked to find a proper buyer for those she’d saved, but in the end settled for some marked down prices to local doctors for quicker cash and the uplifting thought they might actually be used to save a good life, or maybe fail for a bad one. Who knows? Life was funny that way.

Throughout their special bonding time the man cried multiple times about his “brothers” coming any day to find him, the time suspiciously decreasing every time he brought it up. Chesha knew better than to readily listen to words gained from torture, but that didn’t mean he might be truly forgettable either. She’d set herself a two day limit for staying there if only to clean up and deal with the extra cash flow potential. By the time she left even the mechanical parts “mysteriously vanished” courtesy of those living in the slums. He might’ve been one of them before, but that fellow long since ditched his community and they knew a bit of extra cash when they saw it laying around for the taking. Though she’d tossed the eye to a couple of kids, telling them it might work as a good luck charm or something.

Unfortunately that morning it seemed some of his buddies came snooping around, the girl up early to make breakfast and catching the sounds of heavy boots against that aging and creaking floor. Voices even rang out leading her to believe they didn’t realize she was there…she’d almost made it out too had her bag not knocked some vase over. What kind of evil man still had a vase in his house?

From there it’d turned into a game of chase down alleyways, her sleight form capable of slipping through some debris they couldn’t quite clear, one of them going so far as to slam right into it and create a bigger disarray of garbage. Calls of “Get out here you bitch!” and “FIND HER! SHE KNOWS WHERE KENNY IS!” filled the air, causing some of the faceless crowd to disperse a bit. Well, she’d have to make a mad dash for it, see if there wasn’t a boat she could maybe hide on over at the harbor. ’If only I could get into this damned hotel unseen…stupid scared people. I need a fog of war made of you damn it or even a real fog!’ All the mental demands wouldn’t force a crowd to suddenly manifest and block her entry into the hotel she currently hid next too, the doors unfortunately in too plain a view.

Vicktur lazily descended to staircase of the higher end establishment. It wasnt a surprise that he often chose more bourgeoisie to lay his head or fill his stomach. He was, after all, raised in affluence. Some of the perks of his past life lingered on as preference in his current one. He could make due with shitty conditions and terrible food, but why should he? Vicktur was one to shoot for the stars even if it meant his own self-destruction. What was the point of a life in mediocrity? Even if he was envious of those who lived simple and care-free lives, he simultaneously felt sorry for them. Never would they understand the world beyond their little boxes. While their families and homes brought them comfort and happiness, they were also the chains that binded and enslaved them. Keeping them rooted in one place, doing one job, and living one life. Was security truly a price worth paying? Or was the freedom of chaos the only true way to live? Many things seemed to haunt the young Revolutionary as he dreamed at night, many of his questions would never get answered. And the ones that would were only done so through experience.

Finally descending the final step he decided to grab something from the cafe. Sure, it was a ridiculously over priced tourist trap stuffed to the gills with pretentious hipsters. But he wasnt in the mood to go somewhere else. It didnt take long for him to relish in his own impatience, as he was graciously rewarded for it. Sitting at one of the tables was Yomi, wired out of her mind, and a very familiar bikini clad body. As if he could ever forget it. No. Fucking. Way. Yomi and Hure in the same place? It mustve been a coincidence....it had to be. He approached the two, coming up from behind Hure due to how they were seated, lifting his hand to greet Yomi as he did so. He tried to hide his utter shock at seeing the mermaid once more, feeling his heart beat out of control in his chest. Alright, dont be wierd about it. Just say hello... he reassured himself. Hello ladies, may I interest you in a drink? More coffee, perhaps? he mused with Yomi, knowing damn well coffee was probably the last thing she needed right now. Hello, Jienna he used her fake name, unaware if Yomi knew the truth or not I'm glad I didnt have to wait until I was halfway across the world to see you again. his position in the Cafe made him easily visible from the doorway. Should anyone need the assistance if a twelve foot man with a nine foot sword to handle their pursuers.

With an unnatural twisting towards Hure, Yomi sort of barked out her reply. If one didn't know better it was as if the coffee right now was the only thing keeping her going, or maybe it was an unnatural resolve that presented itself as a mix of desperation and drive that were possibly unmatched within the world, that or now people knew of the one addiction she had. Such an addiction meant that all-nighters were the cause of it, or at least were one of many deciding factors of said addiction.

"I can nap when I'm dead, I have progress to make, places to see, people to experi--- help. I don't have time to just sit around and sleep while I could be making the world's next solution to some mundane problem! I could build a toaster, yeah a toaster, toasters are just death rays with a smaller power supply after all!"

She was a mad scientist right now, and it would be evident as to why the cafe attendant wanted to cut her off, the ramblings had been going on since the early morning since she had come up to the cafe, so naturally other customers had complained a bit about how she had wished to make all sorts of weird inventions. If one didn't know better they would say that she was probably the cause of many of the issues in this town, Honestly all of this is just useless rambling because there isn't too much for Yomi to do right now other than act like a crazy person because she was up all night trying to put metal into her body to make her tougher because Vicktor keeps getting into random ass fights all the time she needs to be able to take a bullet to the head right now. Speaking of Vicktor he seemed to appear at an opportune time and said the magic words, more to drink and coffee. This is something Yomi could get behind.

"Yes to the coffee, all of it, they won't have enough beans for others by the time I am done, because I will make an invention with the beans to burn people's houses down, with the power of coffee!"

Hell yeah, he was a kid but he at least knew how to please a woman, or was she just insane? Was she insane if she knew she was insane or did that make her insane? How many licks did it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop? The world may never know. What the world did know was that a crowd was gathering outside the hotel, and Yomi could see it from the lobby through the glass front. That was so weird though, why would a crowd gather, did they know about Vicktor and Yomi being in the revolution, or was there another reason for it. Well she didn't have to wait long as a few of the thugs burst through the main doors and held their guns into the air.

"ALRIGHT YA LITTLE SHITS, ANY OF YOU SEEN A GIRL WITH SOME WEIRD LOG STICKING OUT OF HER ASS!?"

Normally Yomi would keep quiet, but she was hyper on caffeine so it was time to go full retard.

"Fuck you, buddy, we ain't seen shit except for your ugly ass mug!"

"THE FUCK YOU JUST SAY!?"

"I said you look like regurgitated fecal matter that met the wrong end of an ass whooping. You yell like your mother beat you, and you wave a gun around like a school kid who got his lunch money taken."

The mans face turned red with rage as him and a couple of his comrades pointed their guns in Yomi's direction and laughed with sort of a sick twisted attitude, firing off their rounds towards her, only for said bullets to seemingly vanish within her, though one wouldn't notice if they weren't paying full attention, which was hard with the crowd in the hotel now scattering and creating a massive distraction.

Sipping her coffee, Yomi looked toward Vicktor.

"Go fuck em up tall boy, Impress your girlfriend here."

What should have been a nice little meeting for the newest member of the group turned out to get violent extremely quickly. It was clear Yomi was completely out of her mind right now, the caffeine and utter lack of sleep causing her to rant on about inventions that would make no sense at all. Just as Hure wanted to bring it up, but she was more worried about why she was being called by the hidden name when there was no one around to worry about it with. "Uh...Viktor? I came to her to join the crew, there was an inci~" That was all the mermaid would get out before the doors would burst open as a group of people came in with guns held high. They would ask a very odd request before Yomi, in her hyper caffeine overdrive, went full retard. Seeing where this was going the woman would take herself and her guitar to the safety of a steel cabinet before the sound of gunfire made her wince in fear. Had they shot Yomi, or even worse had they shot Viktor? The woman would wait a moment to look around to see that no one had been injured. That was odd, had they all missed? Yomi would tell Viktor that he had the floor, and to impress his girlfriend. It was a good thing that not many could really hear or understand what was going on. Boy would it have been hard to hide the blush on her face if she had been somewhere a bit more calm.

Chesha

Chesha
Chesha existed in a perfect state of limbo right now. To the point it left her frozen in her hiding spot.

On one hand she very much took offense – on Alejandro’s behalf of course, because the other entity couldn’t be bothered feeling more than a tick of annoyance at the words from an utter brute so naturally someone needed to be offended – to the uncouth words of the barbarian inside the building next to her. With his bellowing vocals she easily heard the comment about some lumber jutting from her backside and really how rude was it to refer to someone like that! Gods, it was almost as if he were implying Alejandro to be a complete and utter dick when in fact he probably held more manners in his tongue than the whole group of garbage pail pirates melded together! Seriously, they could all just electrocute themselves in the bathtub with their circuits exposed!

On the other hand however she took almost manic delight in the words of someone who readily spoke against the buffoon. It was a nice discovery to find someone who didn’t immediately kowtow to these nutcases and sit there silently praying for their angels clad in white, or the pigeons of the sea people. Screams erupted and then the unmistakable sounds of gunfire rang out. ”What a shame,” she murmured under her breath, ”Another good soul down the drain. Well no use crying over spilled milk. I’ll leave a treat out in their honor tonight…as long as it’s not my last steak.” The dead didn’t strike her as particularly picky anyways.

Finding a clear coast Chesha dashed out only for her luck to run out in that moment as another goon came around a building. Loud cries of, ”I FOUND HER!” rang out, much to her annoyance.

”Tch…not even fit to be called a buffalo…baboon…whatever that dumbass word is!” she cursed under her breath. Time slowed down for that second as her hand reached into her bag and latched onto a bottle as the other fellow reached for his gun. His eyes moved to the projectile, shooting first and asking questions probably not even later as it simply wasn’t his style. The bottle of “Mr. Satan’s World Saving Tabasco” sauce exploded in a beautiful spray of orangey red, covering the man in the thick substance and stinging every orifice and wound it could slip into.

”OH GODS ITS IN MY PAPERCUTS AND MY EYES! OH GODS…I SNIFFED IT INTO MY BRAAAAAAAAAAAIN ITS ON FIIIIIIII-YUUUUUUUURRRRRRR MAKE IT STOOOP!” Hands moved towards his face and yet hovered, unsure what to do to fix this issue as they too held copious amounts of sauce dripping off them. They’d only make matters worse as the man tried and failed not to ingest anymore of the ridiculously fiery substance. The only problem: she only carried the one bottle. Picking up the bottle neck with it’s now sharpened side, sauce dripping off it she held only a mildly intimidating shiv with a wicked promising after burn.

Uuuuh, right. More coffee it is the boy responded to Yoni's borderline lunacy. He knew very well Yomi's late night caffiene binges. She would work until day-break doing god knows what, he assumed research and development. He could never be too sure seeing as he actually slept at those hours. Well, a vast majority of the time anyways. When he first the woman it was a common topic of discussion, among the other Revolutionaries, as to why she was the way she was. And after spending time with her it became all to apparent where she had picked up the habit. Vicktur always imagined prestigious universities were a bitch to dedicate yourself too. But after finding out her caffiene "addiction" and habit with certain medications, he respected her as much as he kind of pitied her. How much if her life was she throwing away in pursuit of her passions? He would never ask her this, or tell her the former, as she would no doubt deny his pity if not take offense to it. Of course, he was aware that she felt the same about his juvenile drive to chop up Marines for no real reason.

Vicktur motioned towards the barista who stood behind the counter. She was a short thing with multi-colored highlights in her hair, as well as a Phish T-shirt. One of the many hipster punks that ran these pretentious establishments. No wonder he didnt bother to stop here for breakfast with Hure. The barista seemed to understand his signal and began to grind up the coffee beans to get Yomi her next fix. As she readied Yomi's bitter black gold Hure addressed him. She began to explain why she decided to join up with the crew, something that made Vicktur very happy, but was interrupted by a group of thugs. They burst in with weapons brandished, firing their cheap pistols at the ceiling. What a pain in the ass! Could the boy never catch a break? Preparations to finally depart the town were virtually finished. They didnt need anymore distractions. But what can you do? When life gives you lemons you make beef stew. The men stormed the cafe as the citizens filed out the doors in a massive swarm. The bravest dog barked something about a little girl with a log in her ass, or something to that effect What? he said while chuckling, amused by his choice of words. The thugs and Yomi exchanged some heated words and ended with Yomi giving them a verbal lashing. They didnt take very kindly to that, however, as they immediately opened fire on his partner in crime. Nothing more had to be said or even considered. The second the men shot at Yomi the boy was upon them in mere monents, sword drawn and bifurcating one of them right down the middle. Yomi said something about impressing Hure, but Vicktur was already turning them into mince meat by that point. With a simple adjustment of his wrist he swung and seperated the loud mouth"s hand from his arm. He hadnt really given any thought to Yomi being okay or not. But she was essentially an iron maiden. Even if the bullets did hit her they'd likely simply bounce off. Watching a third man start to raise his gun towards him Vicktur booted the gun-severed hand combo at him. The severed hand hit the man in the head and gave Vicktur and opening, which he utilized WITHOUT HESITATION. With a nice clean thrust he impaled the gangster onto his sword and lifted him into air kicking and screaming. Why can't you fucking people just take a day off? It's been nonstop mayhem since I came here. though Vicktur wasnt free of any blame on that note. He got himself into enough trouble for several people. Resting his blade on his shoulder, with the man still impaled on the end, he turned to Yomi Hopefully I dint have to deal with anymore guns. I cant't dodge bullets, after all. he scanned the area for Hure but couldnt find her You alright? Where's our new comrade the dying groans of his shishkabob foe punctuated their exchange quite well.

In a flash, Vicktor was cutting them down, well a flash by his standards. The boy was quick to draw and this was good, Yomi had also noticed that no one had really noticed what she had done, or at least that's what she assumed, who knows if some random person in the crowd might have noticed during all the confusion what had just happened. Honestly, Yomi should have just taken the hit but she didn't know if the weave was fully ready for stress testing on that scale yet, or if they would have hit her somewhere important, like the face. Thankfully they didn't hit her in the face as it would have been unpleasant, well she absorbed the bullets so it wouldn't have been unpleasant but still if she had gotten hit without... oh you get the point she's hyper on coffee and Yomi sometimes just goes a little insane inside.

Regardless as she was just about to get up to try and congratulate the Vicktor and look for the cause of all these problems someone who apparently had a big log stuck up their bum, which was quite odd. Hopefully, the guy that just got cut down was just seeing things as Yomi didn't need to question if the target in question was due to her lack of sleep or because they actually had such an appendage/problem in their rear end. Sadly before this rant made by a writer who is super tired from boat loads of schoolwork could fully finish and Yomi could actually get a move on she was grabbed from behind by what seemed to be a very nervous man. People were still fleeing especially due to all of the bloodshed, no doubt the marines might be on their way and there was apparently someone out there who was wanted right now by them. Holding his sword to Yomi's neck the nervous man about her height barked out his words.

"What the hell did you just do!?"

"I got up from my seat."

"No, to my friend Marioluigiyoshidonkeyvonbumstickle"

"Nothing, the guy over there cut him down, also do you have a cold? That sounded like a sneeze."

"You did some kind of magic! The other guy there is... WAIT BOYS THAT'S THE GUY, THE GUY WHO KILLED THE DOG!"

Suddenly appearing from out of too lazy to actually describe a couple other men appeared with their swords drawn in their blues brother level attire. They were pretty much terrified of Vicktor but they knew they had to try and fight, for pooch, rest in piece that lovable idiot.

"We got a witch and some tall boy and a girl with a stick up her butt, this is the weirdest day!"

"Look, just surrender while I'm still talking Vicktor won't brutally finish you off."

"Not till you tell me how you did what you did!"

Gazing around Yomi watched as the last person in the hotel aside from Hure, Vicktor, herself and these three goons were gone before she gave a heavy sigh. She didn't wish to ever use these abilities, she viewed them as a bit of a curse, but if he insisted and only Vicktor and Hure would find out, they wouldn't tell right? Well she knew that Vicktor had tight lips but she didn't know if Hure did or not, she might but then again she might know how to use her mouth a little too well, but not in that way you pervert.

"Fine, you got me. I did do something to stop the bullets. I did this."

"Now that's more like... wait, what.. nooooo--!!"

Behind her, there was a bit of a black fog as the man began to get sucked into her body, but not in that way more like the eldritch horror sense. His screams were of little consequence of Yomi as he had asked her what she had done and she was now showing him. When his entire body vanished she turned around to look towards the goons who had their swords brandished, their faces filled with horror.

"Don't worry, you can have him back, oh and the bullets."

Firing the man out of her tummy he crashed into the bar of the cafe a bullet hole in his head, followed by two more zings through the air and the other two men falling down dead. Yes Yomi had just stolen the show but we really only have one post left and Hure is hiding in a closet, Chesha is insane, and Vicktor always gets all the kills, deal with it. Sighing as she realized she would have to answer a million questions, Yomi prepared herself by sitting down and sipping her coffee, would probably be the last cup for the day at this rate anyway.

A lot happened as the woman watched from her bullet protected safe place. Did she always need a safe place? Hell no! She was not some wimpy easy to trigger bitch! She was not a feminist either, and neither was she going to start ranting and raving about how people were offending her or how they were wrong and she was right because she was a different race than the most common on the planet!

Hure hear Viktor ask where she was, speaking to Yomi was her best guess. "I'm over here. Sorry, I don't like being around guns and bullets when I have no protection for it!" The girl would have been fine if she had a way to avoid the bullets or a way to fight back from a decent range. Maybe she should learn to use some ranged weaponry? That could be fun! Yeah, she would have someone teach her how to keep a steady hand after this. Well, she could already keep a steady hand, if you know what she meant, but that was beside the point.

The female Fishman felt pretty bad that the tall man had had to ask where she was. Great way to make the crew think she was a coward! She'd have to make it up to him once they got off this godforsaken place and moved to the open seas. Maybe she would give him a 'gift' if they made it out of here alive. The events that happened with the two others in the crew made her feel safe, but what about those outside dealing with 'stick in butt' girl? Maybe they could help her out as well? Maybe bring her onto the crew?

Things went from lively to almost ghost town very quickly, well, more so than the girl expected. Having raving lunatic people with enhancements walking about the road in an aggressive manner tended to cause the public to vanish, but even her playmate’s little buddies became distracted with something else. ’What? It really had to turn into a bar…err…café brawl? Oh gods were these hipster cyborg pirates?! I guess bar brawls and road fights are too mainstream for them…’ In fact they’d outright left her with the hot sauce victim who couldn’t be buggered to complain about much else other than the stuff currently attacking his senses.

It sounded lively in there…for all of a few minutes, something blocking light from the window she could see into before the slight glow returned. Before that there’d been a yell, something about a dog that piqued her interest though she’d have to settle what the heck that was about later. First things first: she was really done with this other fellow’s whining.

”You’re not the problem solver of your crew…are you…” she murmured, an annoyed note causing her words to slip out a little harshly. One of her eyebrows quirked down and yet lips quirked up at one of the corners as she approached the thrashing fellow. Hopping up to avoid an unintentional leg sweep the girl landed on the shin, jabbing the heels of her boots into it and emitting a rather satisfying crack. One beat, two beats and then the high-pitched, woman-like shriek as she’d discovered something that hadn’t yet been replaced. However she figured it’d be better to deal with him rather than let the white suits show up too soon, accepting the fact there’d be little gains than whatever she could quickly rummage from his pockets. The sharp edges of the broken hot sauce bottle jabbed multiple times into the man’s throat, causing a new cacophony of yelps and yells that dissolved into a gurgling mess.

Finally the man went into convulsions as he choked on his blood, the girl straightening up as she stared at the now silent-ish café. ”Well…am a bit pekish and crumpets sound lovely about now.” It wouldn’t be long before the doors once again flew open to reveal the girl clad in the dress-like jacket that cascaded behind her like an unnecessary lady’s gown. Determined expression in place – despite not being able to spy a barista or pastry chef as they’d either fled or currently hid behind the counters – bellowed, ”Good shopkeep! Three of your finest pastries! Preferably chocolate filled, but I will accept apple as well! Okay maybe at least one apple and two chocolate! If you let me borrow a sink I promise to wash off the money – don’t worry it’s only hot sauce!” Never mind that it came from the dead man’s pockets, a girl needed to treat herself here and there with her honest earnings.

Spoiler:

Vicktur was so preoccupied with scanning the place for any sign of Hure, he didnt notice the dirty pirate sneaking up behind Yomi. Not that it really mattered seeing as his thteats were as empty as his future. The man held the blade if his sword to Yomi's neck but got no significant rise out of Vicktur by doing so. He shouted something about Yomi doing....something. The revolutionary wasnt sure what he was babbling about, since he missed the whole ordeal while playing fruit ninja with the other three. His gaze wandered to the window where he saw a man peeking in, before running off in the direction they had arrived from. No doubt he was another member of the crew going to tell the brainless leader about this massacre. No big deal! He'd just kill everyone thet sent after him. These guys were small fries anyway. Hearing Hure shout from behind her metal fortifications he was somewhat relieved to hear she hadnt been shot. Yomi was made of metal so usually bullets just bounced off the woman No problem, beautiful. You just sit tight and do your thing. he replied jyst in time to see Yomi pull some black magic insanity.

The man holding the sword to her throat didnt even see it coming. Behind the duo a rift of darkness manifested out of thin air. Within moments the assailant was pulled into the murky depths, his last gasp silenced as he was enveloped by shadow. What...the...fuck? he stared at Yomi in disbelief, unsure of what he had just witnessed. A moment of silence hung over the trio but was interrupted by a barista bringing over a cup of fresh brewed coffee. She wore a look of fright and disbelief, enough to match Vicktur's, the cup shaking in her unsteady hands. Drops of coffee spilled over the edges as she gently set the cup down and ran to dive back behind the counter. I can think of a dozen times something like that could have come in handy. You must really like seeing me cut people up, partner. he sounded more amused than upset. The thought of Yomi hanging back while being capable of ending most conftontations...well, it was humorous and humbling. Such a nice lady, letting him slice and dice to his bitter hearts content. Before he could crack another flippant joke the door to the hotel burst open. In stepped a young lady with what could only be described as a plume of fur sticking out her backside. Oooooh... it suddenly hit Vicktur. This mustve been the girl they were looking for! By some twist of fate their paths intersected. What are the odds. The gal shouted for some pastries filled with chocolate and/or fruit, preferrably more chocolate than fruit. The barista poked her head out from the counter and set her gaze on the lovely oddity known as Chesha R-right away, ma'am. Please be seated by our other...uuuh, patrons. she then stood up and got back to work. Albeit much more on edge than usual. Vicktur was suddenly feeling a bit peckish. Killing dudebros was hungry work. Seeing as how we just cleaned up your mess, I guess you dont mind getting us something too. he commented towards the newcomer. Motioning towards the barista to get her attention he ordered Same thing the shortie is having. For me and my lady friends.

"The nest of gundarks wouldn't have been nearly as fun if I had done the same thing that I did now. You wouldn't have added to the kill count either."

Truth be told there were other reasons why Yomi disliked using her abilities in front of others, or really at all aside from simple storage, but it was more due to her own imposed limitations rather than the powers being inconvenient. Truth be told because she knew about people being able to get such weird powers, it was why she was worried that the one creating those zombies a while back might be worrying, especially if they had powers like her's as then they would probably be very complicated, thank goodness that it turned out to be a midget instead of anything important. Yomi hoped silently that the men who were apparently after Vicktor weren't a part of that band, she didn't wish to fight against any kind of fried chicken again. Such was the way of the chicken warriors to be utterly annoying to fight against, what's next the pigeon pirates with like a dimension hopping fruit like that was even possible.

Suddenly a girl entered with something all over her looked like blood but she said it was hot sauce. Considering that Hure often said she was just covered in whip cream Yomi was inclined not to believe this newcomer, then again she probably wasn't just any old new 'comer' she was probably more of an endurance type judging by just how out of place she seemed. Honestly, the girl reminded Yomi of herself right now for some reason, like there was a series in common or something, eh no matter. The order was strange, who wanted just desert, then again Yomi wanted more coffee so it was pretty even, come to think of it was her desire for coffee created because of the ingestion of the fruit, what the Illuminati behind all of this, was it the end of the world as we know it? Nah, it was just free desert, and a strange newcomer, all over Hure's face.

"By chance would you happen to be the girl that those piles of meat on the floor were looking for? Apparently, they wanted our tall boy over here because of some dog, if they want you, whatever for?"
