Spoiler:

Located on the outskirts of Yotsuba Island is a forest booming with trees, and wildlife on this nice afternoon. With no cloud in sight, the sun shined down on the earth with the bright blue sky behind it. Peaceful creatures such as deer were out, basking in the sunshine while also eating mostly grass. Unfortunately, one of the deer found themselves munching on something that wasn't exactly grass. "Ah!" A sudden scream, caused the nearby deer to prance away.

Sitting up from the ground was a man wearing a white short sleeve shirt with a green line circled around the collar, and edges of the sleeves, black jeans, brown timberland like boots, and red finger less gloves with retractable terra claws. The man was none other than James Lubbock Jr., currently rubbing his forehead. "Damn deer almost bit my head off..." he groaned. Couldn't blame the deer, the ensign's hair certainly blends in with the surrounding grass. "Last time I'm going to relax in the middle of a forest." he said before wrapping a dark green bandana around his forehead, placing his red go-goggles.

James wandered around the forest with a bored expression on his face, folding his arms behind the back of his head in the process. "Gotta pick better places to go to when I'm off duty." he sighed. He thought about staying at the Noble Justice, but nobody was their, not even (not really) his beautiful Celia! Thought of going to Ohara, being attached to the library, and all, but he was there yesterday. As he continued to walk, James suddenly tripped over an object, causing him to land face first on the ground. Twitching a little, James slowly got up, rubbing his already hurting head. "What the hell was th-"

He looked behind him, and saw it. A very old looking book. James walked over to it, and picked it up to inspect it more. The text on the front was unfortunately faded out with the book looking worn out. "Hmmm, wonder what kind of history you hold." he commented with a smirk before opening it to a random page, causing a piece of paper to fall out. James crouched down to pick it up. The side that was facing him was completely blank. It wasn't until he turned it around that he saw what it truly holds. His eyes widened even more. The paper seemed to have directions, leading to a specific location with a cliche red X at the end. Trying to hold his excitement in, James bit his bottom lip, and slightly jumped in place before he couldn't hold it anymore, exclaiming....

"TREASURE MAPPPPP!!!"

"TREASURE, TREASURE, TREASURE!" James ran around in a circle, gripping the old piece of paper, and scaring the wildlife in the process before tripping over a fallen branch, landing on his rear. "Hmmm..." James hummed as he rubbed his butt before looking at the map. The map simply has directions, saying nothing about any treasure, but unfortunately, James isn't too bright, so we'll have to see how this turns out.

"Let's see...I'm right here. he said while scratching his chin. The Marine stood up, and followed the trail on the map, not taking his eyes off of the paper. "Heh, I wonder what sort of treasure awaits at the X." Junior tilted his head from side to side before looking up. "What if it's not gold, but instead..." a pervy grin grew on his face with cheeks glowing red. "A paradise! Filled with nothing, but naked women...no wait! A paradise filled with nothing, but naked women making out with each other, waiting for me on top of stones holding ancient text that have yet to be read!"

BAM!

The sound of someone running face first into a tree can be heard. Of course it was the Green Dodo himself who was too busy fantasizing to watch where he was going, dropping the map in the process. "Agh...stupid nature..." James groaned as he crouched down to get the map, only to see a fox dash in out of nowhere, scooping the map up into its mouth, and dash off into some bushes. James just stood there in disbelief for a few seconds before quickly shaking his head. "HEY!" James yelled before running off into that same direction. "Give me back my paradise you asshole fo-" as he came up from the other side of the bushes, James was welcomed by a group of five angry looking foxes, ready to pounce.

"....foxes..."

"Uhhh..." it was a stare down. James hesitantly kept his eyes glued onto the five foxes who angrily stared back. James turned his head back, and fourth, observing each one of the creatures. None of them has his precious treasure map! "Where the..." his eyes squinted as he saw a sixth fox, barely hiding in some bushes behind the five aggressive foxes. That was his fox! "Okay, that solves on problem." James sighed in relief before looking at the five foxes in front. "Now, what to do about these guys..." he thought about while crossing his arms.

Before he could finish, two of the foxes pounced at James. Instinctively, wax quickly leaked from the pores of his skin, covering his flesh before hardening. One of the foxes tried to bite at his side while the other tried to bite at one of his ankles, which is only causing them pain. "Eh...guess we're doing it like this then." James grinned before cracking his knuckles. James picked the foxes up by the back of their necks as his wax disappeared before slamming them face first into each other hard enough to knock them unconscious. The remaining three foxes did the same, and pounced at the marine. The green dodo retaliated by catching two of them by the tail in mid pounce, and ducking from the third one, causing that one to slam head first into a tree, leaving him unconscious. James quickly slammed the both of them to the ground, knocking them out on impact as well.

"Well that takes care of that." he said before turning towards the fox holding the map in it's mouth, and trembling. "Now, what to do about you?"

"Well, that wasn't too hard, right, little guy?" James asked the little fox that's now on his shoulder, eating an apple. "Ya know, maybe I should've did the same with the other foxes, instead of well, beating them." he snickered, nervously as the fox looked at him. "Hmm, I should give you a name." James told the fox before looking at the map. "Oh! How about....Felix?" the marine asked the little fox who gave him a purr like noise as it's answer. "I will take that as a yes." the green marine snickered as he began to walk.

"Ya know, you, and I are going to be going places, Felix." James said before showing the little guy the map. "Ya see this right here? This is our ticket to paradise...sweet, sweet booby paradise." the ensign said with a grin as the fox tilted it's head. "You almost stole this opportunity away from me! However, I am a forgiving man. We shall find this paradise, and we shall get all the boobies!" James exclaimed while raising his arms in the air, causing the fox to react by climbing up to his head. "Hmm, you do like boobies, right?" James asked while tilting his head as the fox peeked it's head down. "Come to think of it...are you even a male?" the ensign just now questioned. Suddenly, a gust of wind blew the map away off into the distance. Staring at the hand that once had the map, James remained silent for a few seconds before blinking. "....."

"Dammit, Felix! You were suppose to be keeping an eye on the map!" James yelled at the fox on his head as he ran toward the direction of where the map flew to, even though it was entirely his fault. After brushing past some more trees, and bushes, James finally found the map, resting in a opening, luckily with no aggressive foxes in sight. "Ohohoho, thought you could get away from me again, hm?" James said as he happily crouched down to pick up the map. Just as he touched it, he started to hear growling. "Hm?" looking up, James suddenly found himself, surrounded by five aggressive looking wolves. "Felix....looks like we got ourselves into a pickle." he said as he looked up, just now realizing that his head feels lighter. He started to pat his head, and realized that he's now fox less. Quickly looking around, James noticed that his supposed companion is now resting on a tree branch, yawning as if it's about to go to sleep.

"....Felix why?"

Lao Feing
The day was a mighty fine day indeed, the sunlight itself pulling the recluse from the cave he called a home and out into the wilderness of the forest. As of late he found himself increasing the intensity of his training regime and the frequency as well trying to get his body back into its prime to handle the power the style of the ripened granted him. It was a great power, but if the vessel couldn't contain such a power, then it was useless to have, thus he was honing this vessel that was his body to meet the standards the power called for. There would be no exact way of knowing when his body was ready, but from what he learned from the man who told him of the ancient style of Jio-Ken, his body would know when he was ready. For many years now he'd been preparing himself for the day he'd embark on the grand task of making the world a better place and though it wasn't something Lao Feing knew himself, today would be the day he took his first steps towards making his dream a realization.

Out in the forestry he was with his shin guards and arm guards on kicking away at the body of a tree. There was a definite rhythm to his strikes, but the syncopation wasn't something that seemed like a natural rhythm, it was rushed and forced out two solid sounding thumps by the end of each second. He was quick to regain his balance after each whack at the tree and if one were to look at the man's work they'd see the bark from the tree was no more and that the tree was leaking sap from not only the power of his strikes, but from the repetition. He'd been at it for a while now, but he didn't find himself feeling any fatigue yet no pain due to the shin guards he was wearing beneath his kung fu pants. On the contrary his upper body was bare, the hairs on his well developed chest moistened with beads of sweat that dripped off as he continued to exercise. "Three hundred." He said in his mind as he finally let both legs rest on the ground as he took a breather, though it wasn't really needed. He was just taking the short break to filter through what he'd do next for training, there was a pretty powerful river a short ways away that he occasionally swam in, upstream of course, to work on his endurance/stamina, and build muscle. During his break however he heard a noise. Distant talking? It wasn't often that people came into the forest, not something that never happened, but it was quite rare. Usually it was through these people that he learned about the recent happenings in the world, so he would go and seek out the owner of this voice, but what he'd come across wouldn't exactly make him a welcoming spirit.

Still shirtless, he'd wade through a small thicket of shrubs harmlessly to enter a small clearing where he thought the voice was coming from, but he'd see no one. Nonetheless, what he did see would begin to prod the wayward soul's nerves. He had long ago made peace with these creatures and was seen as another inhabitant of the environment. Of course he was occasionally hassled by the animals, but for the most part even the carnivores in the habitat would pass by him as one would a stranger in the street. The bodies of unconscious foxes littering the small clearing his brow crinkled as he grew more anxious to encounter the owner of this voice he heard. Looking around the clearing for signs of where the person could have gone, he heard the voice again and he would walk towards where it was coming from. Coming upon a new clearing he'd see who he assumed was the one responsible for the unconscious foxes now facing off with a small pack of wolves. "Why are you attacking these animals?" Lao Feing would ask as he stepped one meter out of the shrubs into the roughly ten meter circular clearing. The man was directly in front of him in the center and the wolves were surrounding him, one two meters off of Lao Feing's right and left. They seemed to be focused on the unfamiliar man, but Lao Feing wouldn't pit all of his focus solely on the intruder, because the wolves were still wild beast and had no allegiance to him.

Sonically, Lao Feing's tone communicated he wasn't one that tolerated non-sense and horseplay, especially in an area he considered his home. Even then, there was more to the man's thoughts than just that. His eyes were trained on the young man, but his peripherals would work to keep tabs on the wolves. His body's physique was well displayed from the physically demanding task he had just completed. He wasn't a bulking muscular man, he had a more efficient build that implied that he was well trained and was quite speedy although the bags on his face hung like the shadow of death over his soul due to his ripened age. The wings on his back remained folded and from the angle at which he was standing they were hidden from the young man's line of sight. His arms were idle by his side, but they had a certain uneasiness about them that would surely make one uncomfortable should they be paying his fram special attention. Should the boy "hesitate", take longer than a second to reply, Lao Feing would call out once more in a more impatient tone practically shouting. "Well!?" The fox not with him and already in the tree, something Lao Feing hadn't taken note of himself, he could only assume the youngling was up to no good.

James' eyes trailed back to the wolves around him as they continued to growl. Stuffing the treasure map in his pocket, the young ensign continued to look at the creatures, contemplating on what he should do. "Hmm.." James hummed a bit. Unlike the foxes he squared off against before, his precious ticket to paradise isn't in danger, so fighting these wolves doesn't really seem that important, but it isn't like they are going to turn a blind eye.

Just before he could do anything, he noticed that a figure walked into the opening, causing two of the wolves who are close by this stranger to turn their attention towards him. The green haired boy took a good look at this man who asked him why he was attacking animals. James didn't think much about the question as he's too busy admiring this elderly man's attire. Then the sudden sound of a "Well!?" snapped the marine back to reality, shaking his head a bit as if he just woken up. "Hey, that stuff you're wearing..." James said as he pointed at the man. "You're whole entire physique..." he continued to speak as an enthusiastic grin grew on his face.

"I can tell that you have quite the history!" James exclaimed, causing the three wolves who had their eyes on him to get even angrier while the other two still had their eyes glued to the newcomer. The three wolves on James suddenly attempted to pounce at the marine who reacted by jumping five meters into the air, causing those three wolves to instead run into each other hard enough to leave them unconscious. James lands safely on his feet, causing the two remaining wolves to turn around, and bare their fangs at the green boy. Grinning nervously, James turned around, and ran through the bushes back into the forest while his little fox companion, Felix managed to get up, and jump from tree to tree, amazingly making it back to the boy's shoulder while the last two wolves began to give chase.

"Sorry to leave you like this! But paradise is waiting for us!" the marine yelled back at the elderly man.

Lao Feing watched the young man and had to snap at him once more due to his inability to answer him. Could the youth not sense the tension that Lao Feing bled into the atmosphere with his call? The old man was already pissed off and festering with bottled up rage and the fact the young man completely ignored his question pissed him off even further, but to top it off another act of violence was committed against the beast of the forest. Not entirely the young man's fault, but at this point in time Lao Feing couldn't find a single care to spare the youngster. The youth didn't seem to really mind Lao Feing's presence as it was anyway, so why should La Feing find a reason to not defend the beast since they didn't seem to be able to adequately do so themselves? Lao Feing could tell before the wolves even collided what was about to happen, so while the youth was still in the air Lao Feing entered a well grounded stance where his weight was well dispersed on both his legs that were a bit further than shoulder width apart. With his right hand only he jabbed forward quickly which created a shell of wind aimed at to hit the youth at the peek of his jump square in the chest. Given the attack was literally crafted out of the air itself it'd be hard to perceive and it would arrive within a second of Lao Feing's jab. The youth jumped in such a fashion he'd land safely and not fall on the unconscious wolves, but he'd still find himself within range of Lao Feing's attack at the peek of his jump.

Immediately after firing this shell of wind pressure, Lao Feing would dash forward attempting to reach his maximum speed, but he'd still stop before reaching the pile of wolves, he only had about 3 maybe four meters to clear after all. While he ran his ears would be trained on picking up any sounds coming from something that wasn't the young man his eyes were focused on. This was more so in reference to the wolves, but it wasn't rare for other beast to hear commotion and come scope out what was going on, so Lao Feing would stay alert. "I won't stand by idly as you take advantage of your greater power and cause these animals any more harm!" He'd shout at the youth whom he had his eyes on as he was running forward, but he'd be sure not to join the collision of wolves. Gauging his next attack off of the reaction the youth supplied from his first, he'd wait in a very alert state for the youth's reaction, his ears still listening steadily to his surroundings. Then before the young man could land or rather gain footing to perform an ample or conventional dodge, he'd attack once more. Perhaps still a single meter before he touched down on the ground.

A subtle, very faint cloak of black lightning would modestly crackle around Lao Feing's body as his fram went from a stand still to his maximum speed and a bit beyond that towards the young man. His foot would stretch out with precise timing to increase the range of what would first appear to be a body slam, to possibly throw off the youth's reaction time and heighten the chances of the strike landing. The targeted area was the same area the shell of air was targeting, but the damage here would be much more brutal and the time the young man would have to react wouldn't even occupy a full second, maybe not even half of one given Lao Feing had ran up close to the center of the clearing and the young man was still in range of Lao Feing's first strike. This would occur should nothing Lao Feing perceived as extraordinary or something he needed to be weary of happened before the youth was within one meter of the ground. Lao Feing would put an end to this childish game the fletching was playing all while giving him a taste of his own medicine.

"Hm?" as James was in mid air, he noticed that the elderly man took a stance of some kind. The marine's eyes widened as he witnessed the man before him quickly jab at the air in his direction, causing a burst of air to launch towards him. The boy's skin is quickly covered in wax, hardening right before the attack makes impact. The attack didn't due much to James, only bruising his chest lightly.

The Green Dodo was about to land as he watched the man dash towards his direction. A bear's growl can be heard coming from the bushes about three meters behind the aggressive man. Not paying it any mind at the moment, James' eyes were fixed on this guy who just attacked him. What was his deal? James got his answer as the elderly man claimed that the marine was harming these animals. "What!?" James exclaimed in an annoyed tone. This man's insane! Was he just suppose to let these wolves kill him!?

As soon as the marine landed, he watched as the elderly man charged at him. Not having enough time to dodge, James quickly slammed his hands to the ground. Although he barely had any time to react, he managed to pull this off. A large wave of wax quickly raised up about ten meters tall, and ten meters wide. Due to the man charging the way he did, it should be impossible for him to dodge this. If it makes impact, the man would be quickly slammed down back first to the ground from the pressure of the wave slamming down, filling the entire opening. Taking a hit from that should lead to some moderate bruising, or even broken bones, but due to how close the elderly man is from James at the moment of the attack, the elderly man should end up with something broken if it hits.

As soon as the wax completely covered the opening, it will quickly harden, trapping the man closely underneath to the point where he should be immobile.

OOC:

Lao Feing's first attack went addressed with a curious power Lao Feing could only assume originated from a Devil Fruit. That information was helpful, but only pushed Lao Feing to view the encounter as a more rewarding experience. So as the youth lost altitude after being minorly bruised by the initial strike, before he could land or even be within one meter of the ground, Lao Feing unleashed a devastating attack that would have bone breaking results. The target once again was the chest. With the kick making contact and Lao Feing gliding a total of 5m through the air with the amount of strength he used to propel himself, the young man's body would proceed to sail further than Lao Feing himself was propelled from the lunge. Prior to which however he had heard a new entity make itself known in the clearing. Emerging behind him, judging from the deep tone of the growl it was a bear. With the wolves int he area as well, Lao Feing assumed he had some time before an attack would be launched on him if one were to be from either of the animal groups given they would be in each other's immediate vicinity first. So the young man would be struck and sent a ways away into the forestry, his chest cavity shattered from the power of the blow, breathing alone would be a hard chore for him to manage with fragments of bone piercing his lungs. He wouldn't be dead, but he'd be in the process of dying should medical attention not be sought out. First however, Lao Feing had to deal with these forest animals.

"Stay put and think about why I've burdened your body with those injuries." Shouting out loud he'd turn and adopt another martial art stance, this time facing the animals, his fram spread wide and his weight heavy on his back foot where his knee was bent. The fist furthest away from the animals was clenched tight and pulled back ready to deliver another powerful attack, not to seriously injure the animals, but to scare them off. The beast having analyzed each other's presences they now had their focus on Lao Feing and while he wasn't unfamiliar to them since he practically was a beast of this forest too, there were times where they still attacked him. Slowly they creeped forward, bear and wolves working as one unit, then once they were about 4 meters away from Lao Feing, they charged him. This hand that was cocked back would shoot forward with urgency and awe inspiring power. Like when he attacked the youngling, a faint shroud of black lightning would coat just this arm as it was being thrust forward and at the end of this jab a powerful wave of wind would be released.

Blowing the wolves off their feet and to the edge of the clearing, though the bear tried to ground itself and lower its center of weight, it was too late and it too was blown back to the edge of the clearing. Taking advantage of the fact the animals were blown back and more than likely disoriented from the pressure of the current Lao Feing created, he quickly turned and waded through the shrubbery to the body of the young man. He wasn't necessarily careful with him, as he picked him up and put him over one shoulder like a towel, but he was moving towards Yotsuba with him to get him medical attention should he survive long enough to make it to the hospital. Lao Feing was exhausting himself, but it was good for his training.

Putting an end to this treasure hunting child's play, Lao Feing wouldn't have fight the animals of the forest, he now had a new objective.

Wax substitute: Once every two turns, the user quickly, and instinctively shields themselves in wax that comes out of their pours which then hardens into a wax shell as a response from an incoming attack and cannot be telegraphed due to it being an instinctive reaction. Blocks attack from attacks that are at least one tier lower than the user and halves the damage from attacks that are the same tier as the user.

(This is what I meant to put.)

"Then before the young man could land or rather gain footing to perform an ample or conventional dodge, he'd attack once more."

Should still have enough time for my attack to land.

You jumped 5 meters into the air, so before you are within 1 meter of the ground I launch this attack. It works with the words you quoted as well, but takes priority over them given it states a specific condition I would not allow to be met. That condition being your character getting 1 meter close to the ground. So I attack before you land or even get close to it. You do not even have time to attack with the choice of actions you made. Ask for a moderator if you wish.

"This would occur should nothing Lao Feing perceived as extraordinary or something he needed to be weary of happened before the youth was within one meter of the ground."

Mkay, I'll accept the last two hits, but the first hit should only leave my character with a light bruise to the chest due to the passive. So can you change the attack going unanswered part?
