BATERILLA, A PEACEFUL ISLAND at least on the surface, who could ever know the secrets that may carry beneath it's surface. Bones was always wary of her surroundings, no island was safe and even if someone would tell her otherwise she'd never believe them. Suddenly her mind warped back to the days on the old pirate ship, leading to her going into a silent panic. There were sharp pains, sudden dizziness, and then profuse bleeding at the pores, with dissolution. The scarlet stains upon her body and especially upon the face. Bones had to punch herself in the side of her stomach just to stop this descent into madness and bring her senses back into the reality that was the peaceful town around her. Thankfully, she was resting at one of the inns provided inside of the town, having paid for the night. Looking to the clock she realized that she had only spent perhaps a few hours resting right before that episode occurred a little after she had awoken. Now would not be a time to stand around and wait for another one of those memories to unearth themselves from the catacombs of her subconscious. Slipping on her cloak onto her form and adjusting her clothing, the Kuja woman strode free from her room with the key to it in hand, returning it to the front desk and leaving the building.

Bones was determined to get a hold over her talents in the field of Haki, despite having only used it when necessary in the past. Her eyes would close while she walked down the sidewalk, beginning to activate her Kenbonshoku Haki and attempt at widening the range while she navigated through the busy streets of the commerce section of the town. Yes.. she could begin to see all around her more clearly in the auras of color, actively spotting them while she passed along their frames with just the slightest of ease, just as water passes over and through rocks in a river. Though the city's busy section was not her goal, merely a passage towards it, ending her little Kenbon journey once meeting the desired destination of the town's edge. With her body as ready as ever she went through the gates and out into the forest looming around the town with wildlife. The forest was where Bones felt she had the biggest advantage over anyone, excluding the wildlife whom inhabited it. She wasn't familiar with the forest of Baterilla but being raised in Amazon Lily taught her the necessities of survival within the harsh conditions the wild can bring.

The trees felt like pillars around her as she strode along, noting and marking a single tree every few meters with a decent punch to it's bark to crack it. She'd need to know her way back to the city if she ever had to high-tail it out again. Suddenly an overwhelming roar sounded out behind her, causing Bones to swivel on her boots and turn to face what was causing the noise. With such precautions that Bones took in setting an escape route, her judgement would prove useful since she had neglected to notice she was being stalked as the new prey of a Tiger. The external expression she gave was without a warranted emotion however her eyes were quickly darting around her to see what around her she could use for defense -- realizing that out here there was nothing and she'd be left to only her physical prowess to help her in this case.

Taking a deep breath, Bones slid her hands free from her cloak and clicked the metal clip that kept it on to remove it, wearing a black tailored-fit suit beneath it this was mostly out of comfort not necessity and had she been attending marine matters she would have worn their material. With another roar the Tiger began it's assault and charged right towards Bones whom had discarded her cloak in order to prepare. Bones was not without her tactics however, having taken hold of her jacket and tossed it towards the rampaging Tiger in order to blind it when it's head came into contact with the material, jumping out of it's way in a tucked roll which led the beast to slam head-first into a tree in front of it and growl out, hurt. Now raising onto her feet, Bones swung her right arm off to the side of her body, beneath the fabric of her suit the skin of the arm became covered in an ebony black -- Busoshoku Haki.

The tiger manages to remove the cloak from it's face when it backs up and rears it's head around to face Bones once again. Once more, it charges with it's claws out and it's teeth baring. Bones speaks up for once this time as she points her index finger towards the tiger. "Soru." She says, suddenly vanishing to appear overhead in an upside down position her right hand pulled back, ready to be launched forwards once more. "Shigan!" The only other word that needed to be said as with a swift punch of the busoshoku haki covered arm, the covered finger acts akin to a armor-shelled pistol bullet and she punctures the back of the tiger, hitting the spine at the mid-section and paralyzing the beasts legs entirely.

The beast whines as it began to tumble across the jungle floor, ending up on it's side with the inability to get up again. Out of mercy when Bones lands, the Marine walks over and takes the tigers head in her hands. "Better I than the other beasts that linger out here.." She tells it and snaps it's neck, ending the life of the Tiger in as quick and painless a way that she could manage. With that, the busoshoku haki surrounding her arm vanished and she was left slightly fatigued from her usage. "Best I return I suppose..." Bones managed to huff out but found herself falling onto her knees and attempting to rest. She spent a solid hour there beside the Tiger, until she could feel her exertion passing and could manage to rise up onto her feet again, walking to her cloak to pick it up. She then followed the trail of her damaged trees back to the city as she had enough training to warrant improvement, she felt she could handle things a bit easier now.
