Crack. The sound of Frank’s hand hitting the trees outside of town went as the male felt them splinter but otherwise not falter while his hand was aching from the pain that was reaching through his knuckles as the moment he made impact he knew that he had just made a very pour life decision. The pain beginning to subside but it was apparent that he would more than likely has a nice bruise in a few days. This was not a problem but rather a lesson in life that he should just refrain for doing dumb shit like this in the near future so that he did not end up in a situation like this again though he would probably end up like again because his lack of pretty much caring for his own well-being. It was like being near a man with a death wish who insulted everything waiting for it to take its best shot at you because you did not care at that point what happened to you. Frank decided to stop wasting time and actually tend to the reason that he had left his home earlier that day. He had been traveling around the forest in order to catch a lead on a tip that he had gotten from one of the folks in the town he was kicking back at. Apparently some pirates were up to something in a town and were terrorizing the people there so with nothing more than a want to smack around a couple of pirates. Frank was already heading that way. He navigated his way through the forest and would come to the border of the city noticing that a gathering was taking place in the middle of it. He noticed 5 guys with swords and 1 guy with a sick looking spear that he was brandishing around. He snuck into the crowd and listened waiting for something that would give him reason to strike.

Things had been getting interesting lately... And for all the interesting things, she didn't even have to leave Karate Island. The Archer's hunch was right, her instincts were often right on the money and today was no exception. She reached her hand for her lips with a faint blush on her face. The memory of her first kiss was still so fresh she still felt those butterflies in her tummy whenever she though back to it... And then there was her reunion with her childhood friend, Concetta, as well as meeting and recruiting yet another Kuja as her new Crew's doctor. She was flat broke at that time but thanks to a loan on Mea's part she was now well on the way to having her own crew with whom to share those adventures she so loved.

Sitting at the part by the edge of the forest, Linnea held a sketchbook in hand and kept herself entertained by drawing the beautiful sunny sights. But she didn't just limit herself to what she could see: Her photographic memory was a powerful tool, one she often resorted to for this kind of things. But her art felt a little brighter than usual, and she drew it with a smile on her face. Must be all those hormones from her meeting with Alice... She couldn't deny a certain urge to get her to join their crew, it wouldn't be wierd, right? Linnea then decided to activate her Kenbunshoku Haki and it was then that she noticed something wierd: Several auras were clustered together, armed and ready, only a few thirty meters from her location, if only with wall in the way.

She had a bad feeling about this, so she quickly put her notepad, reaching for her bow, and scanning one of those five with greater detail. Reading their aura proved it: Killing intent. These guys were plotting to attack the city!! Linnea headed in their direction, climbing over the wall and watching them from the shadows... They looked like pirates, brandishing weapons as citizens were already giving them a wide berth, expecting trouble.

With her Haki, she noticed how one of them prepared to slash a nearby civilian that dared walk too close to them, she quickly nocked an arrow and shot it, as the projectile whizzed away into his chest just as he raised his sword to strike the innocent man:

"I'm defenitely not going to let you have your way.", she thought out loud with a determined glare their way. She was roughly 15m away from their location, and three of the pirates immediately started walking her way.

The survey of the scene was getting tedious as the pirates continued to flex on the citizens who were not really able to do much about it given they had a far lack of power in comparison to the powers that were fighting against. Frank would have to use stealth and cunning if he even had a chance of taking them down without any help. As luck would have it, he would not actually be by himself as he saw an arrow strike and take one of the participants of the raid. Frank heard a familiar voice and considering that the pirates were now distracted because one of their friends had been shot and taken down by an arrow and this seemed like the perfect time for Frank to join in on the fun. Sword in his hand, he would run through the crowd guiding his movements to make it seem like he was not moving that fast but was instead just trying to get in further to see what it was that was happening and keeping the sword close and out of sight of those on the stage.

Frank kept his wings down and would kick onto stage to the using the crowd in order to stay hidden in order to grab the pirate closest to the edge and would use his full body wait and the surprise of him appearing in order to pull the guy in the crowd stabbing him in the chest as he pulled him down. After this action, he would notice that the group was looking around to see who had taken their friend but by this time, Frank would roll through the crowd taking cover and blending in watching the pirates pull their weapons and the spear holding pirate aim for whoever took the guy off the stage. Hopefully this would give the arrow firer whoever that was, enough time to fire again and take off another one of them. The distance between the archer and himself was perfect as it allowed pure distraction and confusion on the side of the pirates. Frank was glad he had some help in this.

All of the Pirates sprung to action the moment their comrade fell. He wasn't dead but an arrow through the chest was a serious injury. He would easily bleed out if he tried moving around too much and he certainly knew that since he just laid still instead of still trying to fight. So four against one huh? Cowardly of them, but by then Linnea was not only used to this, but also considered those to be pretty good odds. None of these guys felt particularly dangerous, so she could easily pick them off one by one, manouvering through the alleyways to always ensure she had a clear shot to exploit without being pinned down...

But fortunately, it felt like this wouldn't be so plain and boring. The villagers were unable to fight so Linnea wasn't very confident in the possibility of actually get some backup. She watched the pirates from cover every now and then to ensure they didn't get too close, grabbing another arrow and lining up a shot, but the next time she looked, she found another of the pirates dead and lifeless with a massive bleeding wound in his chest. He had been stabbed by someone, someone her eyes couldn't see. But her mind's eye still could. With her Kenbunshoku no Haki, she easily picked up the only person in the crowd wielding a blood soaked sword. This aura felt familiar; did she know this person? It wouldn't be too surprising but it was still interesting...

She didn't know who that was but she was thankful, as the three pirates previously trying to look for her were now completely distracted by the other invisible foe. Meanwhile the crowd formed what looked like an intransposable barrier. The people slowly grew brave as they saw the enemies dropping like flies, and it was obvious that should any civilian be randomly attacked, they would all use their numbers to overwhelm the foes. But for now they allowed the mysterious benefactors the room they needed to fight for themselves. So, unable to waste this precious opportunity, Linnea loaded another arrow and Fired at the spear wielding pirate's knee. He wouldn't be walking, or even moving anytime soon. He screamed in pain, and, spotting Lin for the breifest moment, hurled his spear at her. Her Haki allowed her to antecipate the attack and duck back into cover long before the weapon whizzed over her head...

Frank was pleased with the reaction that he and his invisible ally were getting given the display that they were showing the people who pandered for what they were doing. Frank wanted this reaction from this people as they were showing more and more bravery now that the people who looked to terrify them continued to fall one by one because of the combined effort of his own effort and the one who was helping him. He had only met one other person who was able to work and aim with such precision and accuracy as the one that was able to pick off the enemies one by one but to assume that this was that same woman was kind of ridiculous because the odds that they would once more appear in the same city would be very low but fate had a way of working with her children in ways that would be too vast for them to understand. She was a cruel mistress when it came to those who defied her but for the people she governed now; it appeared that her bounty was in the favor of those who wished to do right by the people.

Frank needed to focus now as this was the time to help those near and in the crowd make a stand as he had did with so many others. He saw that the next arrow came and found its mark in the leg of the man who was wielding the spear but threw his own spear. Frank could not make out who he threw the spear at but nodded at the help. With strongest looking pirate was disarmed and his subordinates looked thoroughly confused by the dismissal of their leader. Frank took this distraction and instead of kicking off the stage used his wings to lift him as he jumped with his sword extended. One pirate tried to run at a crowd member attempting to take him hostage. This was probably done out of desperation and confusion but he would fall short as Frank would dive down from his position in flight and land a clean cut across the back of the man causing blood to splatter and him to fall down to the ground in agony. The other two that were left began to run at Frank who was still low. He could probably take one but two might be not in his range so he hoped that his archer friend had range enough to be able to take one down and leave him the other. The leader was still in agony on the ground.

The pirates looked positively stArtled by being so overwhelmed by invisible foes but that didnt stop them from trying to weasel out of their pinch by taking s hostage. Fortunately her ally was on the lookout and promptly stopped the interloper. Wings?! This was the same guy she worked with the other day! For now she focused on maintaining her Kenbunshoku Scan, but narrowing it down to a much smaller area, there was no need to waste her energy so readily like that. These guys could even have backup coming from somewhere else, and this incredibly useful skill allowed her to watch her own back, a feat not many other people could claim.

Meanwhile, her recurring ally's back was still left exposed by his attack, but Lin was there to do what she did best: She stopped the enemy pirate in his tracks with an arrow to the chest. The pirate fell down wincing in pain, leaving the winged warrior to do what he did best in turn. There were now only two pirates left, one of them was crippled and helpless to the point he could do absolutely nothing save for watching the battle unfold before his eyes. He might have been able to fight with his fists after getting rid of the lance, if not for his inability to stand on two feet. Regardless, he still stood up by grabbing onto some crates as a crutch, even if he wouldn't be able to get away from there.

Lin nocked and drew her next arrow, taking aim at that pirate captain. There was a risk that her ally could accidentally step into her line of fire at the worst possible time, so she allowed him the freedom to engage the final pirate still able to fight before letting her last arrow loose...

His ally was proving his or worth more and more as this fight progressed. Frank was really impressed with the accuracy that they were able to hit the targets that they were connecting with. Frank was going to have to wonder if the person was helping him was actually the person that had helped him in the while ago. That little tidbit of information would have to wait however as for now he and they still had a battle to win and a town to liberate from this infestation of pirates that picked the wrong town to fuck with. Now they would have to pay. Frank saw the other pirate fall and surveyed the scene in front of him. Currently the only people that remained to be threats were the one pirate who looked like he was about to wet himself in fear from being the only person of his friends left with a leg to stand on while the other who was the leader was not actually able to not stand on his feet and was still writhing in pain with the arrow still wedged deeply in his knee.

He wondered if they were regretting this decision, To come in to a town and think that they would be able to just run over everyone and be okay with it with no one who might come to their rescue around. These are the type of decisions that were foolish that frank knee not to make. He was smarter than this and was far more paranoid to do this. Frank hoped back on stage keeping distance from both of the pirates that were left and beckoned or the other to follow him. He flipped off the stage and given the tactics he used, caused the now angered pirate to run after him. His ally was now given a clear shot at the target on the ground while the other chased him through the crowd. The reason for this was to give the crowd an example of how to take their own safety into their hands.

With the enemy threatening her ally neutralized, Linnea loaded an arrow, just in case. Between the weakling still standing and the stronger yet crippled fellow, this would be an easy task for them, as easy at taking candy from a baby if she were evil enough to do such a heinous act. Her arrow was primed, but with her kenbunshoku Haki not really raising any menacing flags, she allowed the other winged man freedom to act and fight of his own accord without having her interfering with his one on one fights. He looked too strong to be menaced by such scum in any way, but she still held on to a principles as a warrior raised in the proud Amazon Tribe. If he wished to take on that enemy by himself, she had to abide by his will.

But then, he taunted the other pirate, daring him to chase him off as he flew away. What would his goal be? If anything, the anger directed at the winged man would prevent the pirate from targeting anyone else, so in a way this wasn't really a bad decision on his part. Having exposing the strongest pirate - likely the Captain - who now struggled to get up, that man looked visibly worried as he realized what was happening. He had stood up relying on the other two fighters for a form of makeshift cover, but with them gone, he was barely standing (but proving his yet burning will to fight) and presented himself as a sitting duck for the archer, who naturally took the shot before the man could scavenge weapons off his fallen comrades.

The arrow flew and found its way into the Pirate's chest, pinning him to the nearest wall and immobilizing him completely. It was now up to the winged man to either beat the last pirate or bring him out into the open for Lin to do it herself

Frank had a reason for his actions. He needed the people on this island to be able to rely on themselves and not have to have a savior every time someone came around and tried to cause some trouble in their neighborhood. He needed them to be able to trust each other enough to ban together and be able to rely on their own merits rather than have a person like them have to come every time they needed help with a problem like there was corruption in the town that he was in last time he had to teach people or like this one where there were pirates and he and his mysterious ally was helping him deal with. This was the lesson that he was trying to teach them. He continued his running smiling in what he saw in the corner of his eye. A few more arrows appeared to have immobilized the enemy that was on the stage making the one he was make chase him to be the last one to handle.

Frank would stop running just enough for the enemy to think he had him right where he wanted him and as the last pirate got close to him and was ready to strike, he would back-flip using his wings to glide and quickly land behind the enemy penetrating him in the back and through his chest using his sword before pulling out and kicking him down. He did this in a circle that was made by the crowd. He kicked the now still body of the pirate down and wiped his sword on the evil creatures side before sheathing it back to his side. He looked around and saw the people cheering but was not satisfied with just admiration. It was clear that they had not taken what he wanted out the lesson. People, I do this so that you may learn to fend for yourselves. I do these things along with my companion so that you may learn to be better and defend against this type of shit. If you get my lesson then I applaud you but otherwise I now take my leave and leave you with one last call. Stand strong and fight against tyranny in place by pirates and the pointless word government. You rule this world not them. To my companion whoever you are. I thank you. Without another word, the revolutionary was off to change more views and help more people.

Feeing the last remaining enemy to be outmatched, Linnea finally ventured out of cover to see it with her own two eyes. This guy was far from a simple pirate, and the more she worked with him the more she felt him to be a revolutionary type. Whether he was actually one or not, that was hard for her to tell, if not impossible. Some of the people from the crowd looked back at the approaching archer, naturally guessing where the arrows had come from, and allowed her to watch the rest of the fight. For now, he was still running... Yet considering the level of his foe and the power he'd shown so far, this seemed like a moot point. He would be able to effortlessless beat down thus foe or even kill him, yet he kept running through the crowd... Almost as if he was trying to rile them up.

So that's it, the more he prolonged the battle the more they cheered, and finally, he allowed himself to be cornered. Of course, the dumb pirate completely forgot the man's wings, and that mistake cost him his life. The man dodged upwards with a backflip and landed right behind the foe, impaling him with the sword and killing him instantly. He was good... And more importantly, he was charismatic; the way this crowd cheered for him proved it. Hopefully these people would indeed learn the lesson he was trying to teach but for now, Lin's work here was done. Taking advantage of the people's distracting with the killing blow, she slipped away and vanish, going back to her own busines...
