A Calm Fishing Trip

Keiji and Tai were walking on the pathway leading Dawn Island's only village. They had a great day fishing together even though Tai was a fishman. Keiji thought Tai was a really cool dude, he was fine with many things and wasn't scared of anything. As they walked on the path Keiji felt something lurking behind them but he ignored it.

" So Tai, how did you think our day went?"

" I loved it, hope we can do it again!"

" Anyways, night time is coming and we're barely halfway to the village. What do you think we should do? Continue on the path or set up camp and sleep here?"

" Can we just sleep here. I'm really fucking tired man, we can continue tomorrow'

" Yeah, I was thinking the same thing"

Keiji answered him with a drowsy facial expression. They strayed a bit from the path to find a place to make small make-do beds and go to sleep. They found a small clearing inside the forest and they started setting up their camp-fire and such. Keiji still felt something following them, a shadow maybe but he still ignored it. Luckily, Tai had kept the fish they had caught on their trip so they cooked them and ate them for dinner. They tasted fairly salty but were decent enough for them. Once they had both ate their dinner, they rested on their beds. As Keiji had closed his eyes, he realized Tai had alread already slept. He decided to stay awake a bit more just in case anything happened.

Moonshine:

"I haven't feasted in forever now..." Moonshine uttered licking his coat as he sat riverside, finishing off a young goat that he met on his path. "My new crew mates were so scrumptious too... Sucks... I really like the little boy... Their is always so prime." Moonshine said to himself. Rising his noise to the night wind, the smell of cooking fish drew the man towards the direction of a small clearing in the forest. Taking a deep breath, Moonshine's mouth began to salivate slightly. "An older one and a young boy... or girl... I'm not sure nowadays...." he thought. In an instant, it might have been over for a party if they aren't alert enough. Furthermore, the Lycan's path was swift and merciless once he pounced. Jumping into mid-air, the Lycan was above the makeshift beds in one leap, ten meters to be exact away and in one motion, he was six meters above.

Six? Six was such a chilling number for the campers, as that was the amount of claw strikes Moonshine could beam through before gaining tried, however, they are six colossal strikes in nature, each aiming for the throat. The first blow will determine the fate of the prey. Spinning as he lands, Moonshine lifted his paw and aimed towards the smaller prey, while his teeth opened wide to chomp the head of any enemies directly below his descent. His chest was puffed, breathing heavily in anticipation for the impact, he was now two meters away from contact. Will they end up like Red Ridding Hood's imminent fate, accept this time, this time.... someone might perish or prosper.

The young Fishman’s sense went wild as they decided to take a break from their adventure, but the nighttime air caused him to toss it aside. Fishing took a lot of work, work that Tai wanted to sleep off. The slow burning from the fire that roasted their fish made things difficult for him, but thankfully he was finally out like a light. Snores boomed out of his mouth as he laid down.

A crack sound suddenly alerted the aquatic humanoid and while he wanted to shrug it off, he knew that you could never be left unguarded in the night. Thankfully, it paid off for him as he noticed a creature hurling towards their campsite from the air. Tai wanted to question what it was, based of its appearance, but didn’t have time for something like that. He needed to be quick so that Keiji wouldn’t be harmed.

“Time to wake up!” he said while holding his upper body back some so that he wouldn’t get caught in the fray of attacks.

Quickly after that, he swung his body around so that his left leg was aimed at his friend, attempting to kick Keiji out of harm’s way. Then afterwards, instead of retracting his limb, Tai spun around, using the momentum to bring himself out of the striking range. While he was in his spinning motion, the Fishman’s body didn’t move forward until he was completely turned around so that the beast’s claws would only meet with his iron-plated shirt.

Once he was and his leg was safely planted onto the ground, he leaned in so that his upper body wasn’t near the wolf. The aquatic humanoid then ran until he was about two meters from the assault. If all went planned, his friend would be away from the attack as well. So that they wouldn’t look like easy prey, he then summoned water from his fingertips. Tai allowed the water droplets to dangle until they were to be launched.

“Let’s see how you like my Archer--,” he said and then swung his hand, firing five water-like arrows towards the wolf, “Shark.”

The substance sailed through the air at an alarming rate towards the creature. As they did, the Fishman wondered if it would treat his attack like many victims did. Would the wolf see it as nothing more than water or would it know the dangers of the assault?

Foolish. It was perfect however for the hunting werewolf. The small launched his friend from danger but paid no attention to the aim of the Werewolf claws which now aimed to deal six deadly strikes to his throat. His aim was never the man's chest cage, so he chuckled a bit, howling at the moon before impact. The man's spiraling motion was interesting, however, trying to move an over 100 pound man, then regain full mobility of his own body after a spinning motion, Fishman or not, the Werewolf's long broad shoulders gave him scope to rip open the Fishman's throat. If he applied force to the wound, he might be able to avoid the fatal sleep. Finally, landing on the ground from his aerial assault, the Werewolf howled at the moon with joy of first blood. The Fishman had the opportunity to continue with his attack, allowing his throat wound to bleed out or he could maintain pressure, with minimal first aide skills, save his own life.

Moonshine saw the puny human staring at his weapon which still lying by their make shift beds. Moonshine chuckled a bit, underestimating the man, he threw him the blade, by simply flicking his wrist, displaying his raw power, he'd hope not to be underestimated again. Turning towards the Fishman who was bleeding out and lunged a short three meter distance towards him, opening his jaws to rip apart the man's shoulder. If this attempt was successful, death's door might be calling the Aquarius life. The saliva from the Werewolf's jaws made him dribble rapidly, aiming for another fatal blow. The blood drew, drove the man crazy.

A Calm Fishing Trip

Keiji woke up, startled due to him soaring in the air. He was shocked, and was questioning what was happening. Once he saw Tai shooting Shark Arrows at some kind of dog he knew that it was his turn to fight. Yet, BloodWeep (His Katana) was next to his bed and he was in the sky. He would have to land, and swiftly run to get his Katana. Or he could tell Tai to throw it to him in the air.

"Tai! Throw me my fricking sword, I need to chop this dog up. Woof Woof!"

Tai was deeply injured and couldn't move. Instead, once the werewolf had heard what Keiji had said he threw the sword to him in arrogance. He underestimated Keiji and Keiji would make him pay. Keiji extended his reach and caught the sword mid-air. How he would go about fighting was easy enough. He unsheathed his sword, and pointed it at the werewolf as he landed. Once on the ground, he swiftly starts poking the beast. He poked the beast once, which resulted in a stab wound on the monster's chest. After Keiji's attack, he swiftly ran behind the werewolf and poked him again. This time twice, one in each leg. Behind each knee. Keiji knew that this would greatly impact the beast's speed and make it much slower. He hoped that this would allow Tai and himself to have an advantage on the beast and be much faster than it. As Keiji looked at Tai who was about a meter behind him, he realized that he was hurt. He was deeply injured and Keiji had to help him. But he couldn't... If Keiji did as much as loose focus on this beast than they could both lose this fight. Keiji then stared the beast straight in the eye.

The swordsman's poke impacted the man's chest, Moonshine cringed in pain, however his arrogance and intellect reassured himself this was all part of his plan. Once the blade sunk into his chest, the Werewolf extended his right arm and dug paw into firmly holding onto the blade's with attempts to break the weapon. However, his left hand had already sneaked around in striking distance to impact the left side of the man's head. If his paw was to make contact, the strike was oddly placed and would shake his brain a bit, drawing blood from the claws of his paw. However, with the sword wedged in his chest the Werewolf movements were limited. Screeching at the top of his lungs, the loud Werewolf called utilized a sonic boom of sorts that would spread five meters outwards. Anyone who was within a five meter range of the howl would have their ears ringing slightly from the strike. "I've been a pirate for years boy... Foolish Parlor tricks won't work on me!"The Werewolf said screeching, licking it's blood thirsty lips.

Crap.

That was the only word that Tai’s mind could let out as he felt the wolf’s claws slice against his throat. He also felt the warm liquid that was his blood and realized that he’d made a mistake. While he was trying to save his new friend, he forgot to protect himself as well. Though his wound was not fatal just yet, he knew that another one would definitely end his life.

Rather than continue with the onslaught of his attack, the young Fishman simply placed his hand against his neck. His goal was to place pressure onto it so that he wouldn’t bleed out and become the wolf’s lunch. Right as he was finished, he noticed that the beast was lunging for him once again. Why was he the target once again, did the creature hate Fishmen or something?

Thankfully before anything grim could happen, he watched as Keiji cut the distance between them and used his swordplay to distract the beast. While his friend occupied the werewolf, Tai took that as his chance to get further away from it so that he wouldn’t be killed over a mistake he’d made. Once he was about two meters away from his friend, he ripped part of his shirt off.

“This should help some,” he said and then tied it tightly around his neck so that he’d have use of his hands to attack.

Sadly, before he could launch an assault, their opponent had other plans. It unleashed a powerful howl, a sound that’d make even the dead roll around in their graves. Tai’s ears throbbed over and over again and then he decided to place his hands over them to attempt to defend the sound. Unfortunately, it didn’t help him one bit.

A Calm Fishing Trip

Keiji was pissed at his comment, and was determined to make him pay. Until he heard the screeching noise that came from the werewolf. He tried his best to move away from the werewolf while he was screeching. Keiji knew that it was impossible for the beast to scream and attack him at the same time. He was barely standing up straight when the screeching finally ended. Keiji knew what he had to do. He was about 8 meters away from the werewolf and knew which move he should use next. He had it all in his head. He held his sword upright with confidence, not being scared of this monster at all. Keiji then bend down in a grasshopper like stance almost as if exerting force into his legs. He then pushes onto the ground and is set flying in the air above the werewolf.

Keiji was currently 8 meters above the beast as he slashed his blade at the monster. A purple tobu zangeki was set down at the werewolf that would most likely cut his flesh. The only thing Keiji was scared of was that the werewolf would jump up to him. He wasn't sure that the monster could jump 8 meters in the air, but it was likely. He regretted not learning how to use Soru now. If he had just had that technique he could have easily escaped and killed this monster. Yet, he had to beat him without it.

He fell slowly, as if in slow motion. He had looked at the beast, whom was covered in bruises. Keiji himself was also covered in bruises and cuts due to the werewolf's long nails. He had to find a way to cut his nails with his sword. That would be his next strategy.

A Calm Fishing Trip!

Keiji was happy, he had grinned while slowly approaching the ground. As he fell on the ground he looked back at the werewolf. Keiji's last attack had been fatal, and it was the werewolf's end. He was ready to finally kill this foul beast and go aid Tai. Tai was still gravely injured from before, and Keiji had to finish this battle as quickly as possible. He walked over to the beast's injured body lying on the ground. Keiji unsheathed Blood Weep and raised it above his head. He then quickly slashed is down, cutting the foul beast in half. It was done, he had finally beat this monster.

Blood was all over Keiji's body, as well as wounds. He hurt everywhere and wanted to just rest. He had fought against this werewolf for the whole night and the sun was about to arise. He watched as the werewolf turned back to human, even if dead. His night had ended and it was his time to return to his normal state. It would have been much easier for Keiji to wait till morning and kill him, but he had done it earlier.

Keiji felt good about himself, he had beaten a strong beast over the course of one night. The werewolf was fairly difficult to overcome during the fight, but Keiji's focus aloud him to prevail. He had forgotten about Tai, and then suddenly remembered. He ran over to his comrade and asked him a question.

" Are you all right Tai?"

" Did you kill it, Keiji?"

"Yes, friend, I did..."
