Karate island is a medium-sized island on the western edge of the south blue. Out of all the islands in the south blue, it is the closest to the Grand Line. It's shape is that of an upside down "T". The island is known for being very flat, with barely a hill or tree in sight. As such, it is considered a plain.

Karate island has 3 main villages: one on the north end, one on the west end, and finally one on the east end. These villages are the main source of population of the island, which evens out to about 100 people per village, with about 30 living in the plains.

The people of the island are generally martial artists or farmers, with the former being the majority. They are all very friendly people to most: with the exception of the Marines, who wanted and still want to inhabit the island as a base due to it's  convenient location. However, they have had no success.

Wildlife on Karate Island includes wild buffalo, gophers, and zebra. In addition, Karate Island is said to be one of the greatest fishing spots in the world, with many large and delicious fish swimming near the coast of the island.
