1 The Diabolical Schemes of Thaddius Rain on Wed Aug 02, 2017 10:32 am

Arc Type: Standard
Arc Name: The Diabolical Schemes of Thaddius Rain
Arc Tier: 3
Sea: South Blue
Island: Shadowmoon Island (Custom)
Arc Description: Shadowmoon Island was always a mysterious island, with their fair share of superstitions and odd rituals that would often be odd to any outsider that happened to stop by for some of their famous alchemy potions or leatherworking designs that seemed to always hold up better than most. However, every year around the same date seven people will disappear from the island forever, never to be heard from again with no trace left behind to give the curious and angry populace even a hint as to their eventual destination. The plead for intervention from the marines has been going on for years with little fruit to bear for their efforts.

This year Sara Dooperman is the ranking officer that will head to Shadowmoon Valley with small army. The effort from the marines this time around will be to place protective details with as much as the populace as they can, to keep the situation contained and with as many eyes on the citizens as they can to make sure none of them are taken. Meanwhile, Sara and a chosen marine, named Amelia DeLioncourte but better known as Puck, will attempt to research and discover the reasoning behind the disappearances and find a solution so they can finally give the island of Shadowmoon closure for their missing family members and themselves.

Beginning:
Task Name: Welcome to Shadowmoon
Tier: 1
NPC or PC: PC
Crew, Team, or Personal: N/A
Description: Sara Dooperman arrives to Shadowmoon Island, where she goes over the information she has with another marine recruit named Puck. They attempt to gather more intel the local populace, hoping for any written record or clue as to what was happening.
Enemy Details: None, information gathering and strategy formation.
Boss: No

Task Name: Forest of the Haunted Song
Tier: 1
NPC or PC: PC
Crew, Team, or Personal: N/A
Description: With the time drawing near to when the kidnappings usually start, Sara and Puck pour over old and new information. Shadowmoon is an island that is almost constantly covered in a small mist, except for the town itself seems immune to it. As such there are hundreds of tales that seem almost supernatural, with the mention of a ‘haunted house’ being mentioned in several texts, but it was mentioned ever only three times. The locals refuse to lead them to it, saying that any who enter the place are forever cursed, their minds broken when they eventually wander back into the town, though their bodies remain healthy with no apparent marks of abuse or torture. Eventually someone agrees to lead them to the house through what they called ‘The Forest of the Haunted Song’, though when they get to their destination their guide is taken right in front of them. The first of the kidnappings has begun.
Enemy Details: None, information gathering and strategy formation.
Boss: No

Task Name: Operation: Grand Shell
Tier: 1
NPC or PC: PC
Location: N/A
Crew, Team, or Personal: N/A
Description: Knowing the route to the house now, Sara Dooperman and Puck go back to the town. Sara sends out her marines to initiate the first part of their plan; to gather up the populace and contain them in several controlled areas with marines watching over them. With failsafes set in place and backup plans  reviewed should the marines protecting the populace need each other’s help, Sara decides that she and Puck alone would go to the house to see if it had any connection to the disappearances. On the way there Sara is almost taken through what could only be described as a ‘black hole’, with tentacles that reached through it to nab her. Puck rescues her in time, though they now know how the people are being taken. Moments later they are surrounded and attacked by figures in dark red robes, hood overtaking their heads as only red eyes can be seen. Sara and Puck fight through them.
Enemy Details: Fourteen Tier 1 cultists.
Boss: No

Middle:
Task Name: The Flame-Wreathed Third Eye
Tier: 2
NPC or PC: PC
Crew, Team, or Personal: N/A
Description: With the cultists beat, Puck has the intuition to pull back the hoods that somehow mask the wearers face. The substance that covers their face fades
away as they touch it, revealing the face of one of the townspeople that had been kidnapped from their home over ten years prior. They surmise that the cultists, at least most if not all, are probably past victims that had disappeared from Shadowmoon. They return to the house unhindered now, a symbol appearing on the doorway; three eyes with the third eye on top being shown with fire surrounding it. As they get closer to the door it explodes fourth, revealing a giant man that looked like he’d been pieced together from various body parts of other men.
Boss: General Heinous

Task Name: Into The Abyss
Tier: 2
NPC or PC: PC
Location: N/A
Crew, Team, or Personal: N/A
Description: With the General of the Cultist down for the count, Sara and Puck both head into the house, which was mysteriously repaired from the damage General Heinous caused from when he destroyed the front door coming out to get them. After a bit of poking around Sara comes to the conclusion that the house itself acts almost alive after several doors slam in their faces and have to fend off flying objects trying to kill them. They are guided to where they need to go by a white light, to a door in the back that was previously barred off by the violent house. The Flame-Wreathed Third Eye, with chains and bars going back and forth, barring entry. The bright light that lead them there forms into a little girl, who informs them they must enter Hell itself to stop the coming evil. She also tells them that the only way to open this particular door was the sacrifice of a pure soul, which she was. She gives her soul to the monster that appears from the door itself, much to Sara and Puck’s dismay. The door opens, and down they go.
Enemy Details: The very house itself.
Boss: No

Task Name: The City of Blood
Tier: 2
NPC or PC: PC
Location: N/A
Crew, Team, or Personal: N/A
Description: The door leads down to an underground city so large neither Sara nor Puck can see it all. There they find more cultists, though they don’t attack them. Instead they are more curious, as many have lived there for generations with no thought or idea of the outside world. They tell the two marines of how every month seven people with no memories come to their city. They tend to them until the kidnapped victims are taken care of, though they surmise that none of the people that live in the underground city are actually the ones responsible for the kidnappings. They also conclude that more people from around the world are being brought here and have been for untold generations. They run into the law enforcement that polices The City of Blood, a human female named Protector Amalla. She and her Honor Guard attack Sara and Puck in an attempt to bring them to justice. The marines decide to show her what ‘true justice’ looked like.
Enemy Details: The Honor Guard, ten Tier 2 cultists.
Boss: Protector Amalla

End:
Task Name: The Unspoken
Tier: 2
NPC or PC: PC
Crew, Team, or Personal: N/A
Description: With Amalla defeated she sees the error of her ways. She tells Sara and Puck that she was once a kidnapped victim as well, but was brought forth to a pedestal that held a strange looking plant. It pulsated with evil, a strange mist forming into a black cloud that forced its way into her mouth and overtook her mind. Before she can say any more the very black mist she was talking about explodes from her eyes and mouth, killing her instantly killing her. The citizens of Blood are panicked now, scared of the marines that had killed their Protector. Only one of them is brave enough to tell them the obvious place they should go; at the very center of the City of Blood was The Monastery, a place guarded by ten walking brutes known as Abominations, several people stitched into one, guardians of what they called The Unspoken. With the rest of the citizens unwilling to help then, Sara and Puck head there to engage the unholy guards of their destination.
Enemy Details: Ten Tier 2 Abominations.
Boss: No

Task Name: The Master of Rituals
Tier: 2
NPC or PC: PC
Crew, Team, or Personal: N/A
Description: The Monastery lays open after the entrance to it is collapsed due to an errant throw of an Abomination. The way down is even longer now, with the heat coming to unbearable levels. The bottom of the winding staircases leads to a giant laboratory where the man known as Moonraker introduces himself. He explains that it has been his task for thousands of years to protect the ‘Fruit of Desolation, an ancient Devil Fruit that allows it’s user to feed of the misery and fear of anyone around it. Moonraker had set up The City of Blood for that purpose, filling the residents full of lies and superstitions, making them work slave labor to build the city and other inhumane tasks. As such the Devil Fruit has been feasting on all those negative emotions and feelings for all those years in an attempt to reemerge and cover the land in darkness as it had done in times long forgotten. He attacks Sara and Puck, along with his more nimble Abominations, in an attempt to stop them.
Enemy Details: Twenty Tier 1 Abominations.
Boss: Moonraker, Master of Rituals

Task Name: Thaddius Rain
Tier: 3
NPC or PC: PC
Crew, Team, or Personal: N/A
Description: With Moonraker and the last of the Abominations down, Sara and Puck make their way to the heart of The City of Blood. There they find a half emerged being, though they are unsure of what they were looking at. It took the shape of a human man, though only the shape as the rest of it looked as they were looking at the night sky itself. It introduces itself as Thaddius Rain, and he describes himself as a ‘necessary evil’. When he was formed, the world was peaceful and the kingdoms were vast and huge. The people were rules by the Light of Justice and were considered good and just, though it did little to hide just how controlling and demanding the ruling class were. Those who were considered ‘unworthy of the light’ were cast down to slums and ghettos, and it was soon that so many of them were gathered in one place that the misery and hate they all felt bled into the earth, forming Thaddius Rain. An unsuspecting man ate him, only wanting his hunger to be sated, but was instead taken over by the Devil Fruit itself. His evil engulfed the unprepared world, plunging it into chaos. Hundreds of years later civilization seemingly wiped itself out, with Thaddius reigning over all the world. There were only two to oppose him in the end, two females who ‘held the light as it should be wielded’, and managed to defeat him and send his fruit back to the darkness it had come from. It was only when Moonraker had found it that Thaddius found a way to return, but this time he was more than fully prepared to rule the world with an iron fist, his feasting on the misery of others more than fueling his return to proper glory. With his image only half formed and unable to tap into many of his powers, Sara and Puck agree that, no matter what happened to them, Thaddius could not be allowed to return.
Boss: Thaddius Rain

Bosses:

General Heinous:

Boss Name: General Heinous
Tier: 2
Description: - Heinous is quite a giant man, sporting in at 8'0'', his strength is almost unrivaled among the cultists alike and is often seen as the cults peak creation.

He doesn't have much of a mind after all the experiments that his numerous amounts of bodies that got stitched into him has endured, thus making him a durable powerhouse which can be used by the cult for any means that they find necessary.

He has attained the rank of general in this society though, but mostly because of his brute strength and durability as a super soldier.

Haki: N/A
Equipment: N/A
Strength: 3
Durability: 2
Speed: 1
Perception: 1

Protector Amalla:

Boss Name: Protector Amalla
Tier: 2
Description: - Protector Amalla is a rarity among the citizens of The City of Blood. She has darker skin and blond hair, while most others have pale skin and darker hair due to lack of sunlight. She’s a tall 6’4”, though she is slimmer than she should be at that height, giving her a sort of sickly appearance that all residents share in the underground city. She is always seen with her double-scythes, always on the lookout for trouble and those in need of help. Her eyes are a gleaming pale white, giving her glare an almost uncomfortable feel when she sets those milky orbs on you. Amalla is fiercely protective of The Monastery where she was ‘reborn’, but it’s the citizens of the city that Amalla truly loves, doing anything to protect her family regardless of the cost to her own health.
Devil Fruit: N/A
Haki: N/A
Equipment: The Winding Scythe which is made out of a mixture of Steel and Titanium, at some places like the blades it's Titanium whilst the handle is made out of steel.
Strength: 2
Durability: 3
Speed: 2
Perception: 1

Moonraker, Master of Rituals:

Boss Name: Moonraker, Master of Rituals
Tier: 2
Description: - Moonraker as his cult has come to name him has never been appreciated anywhere other than by the cults arms.

He has never been appreciated and is often angry that the world can't accept him into it's loving grasp. Thus he was turned to the dark side and started to try and recuperate an old, almost dead cult that praised the lord and savior "Thaddius". As he climbed in the ranks of the cult he found quite the pirate that visited his island for a quick tour.

The man had the mystical "Portal Portal" fruit, and could teleport to any point that he marked or teleport other people there. Moonraker instantly found this to be advantageous towards building up the great cult again to its former glory, thus he captured him and kept him barely alive in the gallows of their base of operations to teleport new subjects into their laboratories.

Moonraker himself is quite the sturdy man with quite a black toned skin color thanks to the heavy amounts of rituals he has been through, each requiring him to drink a black substance found deep underground on the island which turns his skin black like coal but grants him unimaginable power in return, but also makes him sick and turns him to madness. He is quite tall sporting in at 7'2'', he is usually equipped with big shoulder pads with horns, decorated with skulls of his past victims and the people that couldn't bare the rituals or living in the underground.

Devil Fruit: N/A
Haki: N/A
Equipment: Ritual Staff that is made out of Treasure Tree Adam and painted with the green blood of his ancestors.
Strength: 3
Durability: 3
Speed: 1
Perception: 2

Thaddius Rain:

Boss Name: Thaddius Rain
Tier: 3
Description: - In his true form Thaddius is bigger in height and width than that of a giant, his kin blood red and his third eye wreathed in flame. When he was defeated thousands of years prior he lost that form and most of his power as the Devil Fruit that spawned him went back into rotation. When he reemerges from the rituals that Moonraker had done he appears as an outlined human male, though looking at his ‘physical’ form is like gazing at the stars on a clear night, some constellations that one sees in the night appearing in his fathomless black form. His voice echoes as he speaks, sounding as if he is speaking from far away. He stands at a whopping eight feet in height, his body just as wide. While in this incomplete form he is vulnerable to physical attacks, though the amount of damage he takes seems to dim the gleaming stars that represent his physical form. This form has inhuman strength and durability, along with being able to shoot forms of energy beams from his fists that explode on contact with a solid surface.
