1 Diego Bianchi Russeti [Marine] on Fri Feb 24, 2017 10:05 am

Name: Diego Bianchi Russeti
Alias/Epithet: DIO
Race: Human
Tier: 2
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Mode: Hard

Description of Modes:

Easy Mode: Easy Mode is for people who have no major interest in their characters dying. You have access to private topics, maims turn into severe bruising that inhibit the use of the damaged body part for the rest of the thread, what would normally cause deaths turn into your character simply being knocked out. However, everything isn't good for you, this also means that your character will never be able to pass Tier 3.

  • Exceptions to these Rules: Should you attack someone on Hard Mode with killing, crippling, injuring, or maiming intent OOC or IC, you lose your Easy Mode protection and may have the same done to you. May it be killed, maimed, injured, etc as long it is the same intention.

  • You cannot make private travel threads, but they can still be No Kill due to your Easy Mode Protection.

  • Also, there are also events which your character will be at risk if you choose to enter them.

  • Lastly your character can be vulnerable to death if you will it.

Hard Mode: This is for people willing to take more of a risk for more of a reward. In this mode you can reach up to T6, and there are other things available to you, like world positions. However, your character is always death enabled. A hard mode person is not allowed to make a "No Kill" thread or a Private thread. Their whole existence is open. Hard Mode is to promote a more realistic One Piece Roleplay-verse and while people are eligible to die while on Hard Mode, our aim here is not to make this a place where people meaninglessly kill. Hard Mode is introduced to promote interactive RP where people value there allies and teammates. Hard Mode is for an experience closer to Canon.

  • Exceptions to these Rules: If you are situated on your island or your ship while out in the sea(not docked on an island), you are permitted to make a private thread between you and crew members. HOWEVER, you cannot make a private travel thread on your ship, you are still at risk of invasion in those threads.

  • Protection for Private Topics on your Ship can last for a duration of 7 IC Post, afterwards the topic is Open.

Changing Modes: Changing modes is also possible if you start out a character, and realize the mode you chose does not really suit you. Unfortunately, to prevent people making the first choice without thought, or using easy mode to their advantage getting as high as they can with Easy Mode, and jumping to Hard Mode, there are penalties to both sides changing modes.

  • Easy Mode Penalties: If you're on Easy Mode, and you change to hard mode, you are bumped down an entire tier, and will have to build your way back up. Anything spent on something you cannot have anymore because of tier problems, (You were T3 with a T3 only sword, and you've been knocked down to T2), will be refunded if you wish.
  • Hard Mode Penalties: If you choose to jump to Easy Mode, you get everything taken from you that is Hard Mode only.

You may only change your Mode once and it does not effect preexisting topics you are in.

Occupation: Martial Artist (Primary), Dial Specialist
Affiliation: Marine
World Position: N/A

General Appearance: Most women note that Diego is quite the good-looking marine. His eyes are as blue as the sky, leaving people that are attracted to him hypnotized in his gaze. As a martial artist, it is no wonder why his body looks so athletic. Perfectly toned, Diego sports every man's dream in an eight-pack. Diego's hair goes to his shoulders when he lets it down, although he often changes up his style whenever he feels like it. It's blonde in color and extremely well kept; He's never caught lacking whenever it comes to how good his hair looks. Not a single blemish exists on his face, as he's long gone through the effects of puberty. His teeth are as white as the snow and shine brilliantly under direct light. Diego's walk displays confidence, as he walks like how you're supposed to, with minimum stressbon the spine.

Clothing wise, Diego doesn't have a specific outfit that he likes to wear besides his marine uniform, although even then he doesn't wear it outside of duty all that much. It might not seem like it with the type of personality he has, but Diego is actually extremely up to date fashion wise and prefers to wear high end designer clothing. Even his boxers are expensive! With how well his marine duties pay him, it's pretty easy to pay for it. Diego is always tidy looking no matter what. Basically, look at my avatar.
Height: 5 feet, 9 inches
Weight: 140 pounds
Crew Tattoo Placement: Left Shoulder Blade

Personality: At the core of his heart, Diego is a fighter. Ever since his father died, he assimilated his dream of wanting to become the world's most powerful fighter. Constantly, he trains as much as his body allows him to without any problem, even finding it a fun experience while most would consider it agonizing. It's even half of the reason why Diego became a Marine in the first place: So he could have the money necessary to travel the world, and meet the world's most dangerous people. Fighting and training aren't all he does when he's awake, it does occupy a majority of his time, and thus, his social life isn't the greatest.

Just like his father, however, Diego wouldn't let his desire to fight consume him of every fiber of his moral integrity, especially as a marine. Unlike his other peers, he goes above and beyond his job description with not an ounce of corruption in him. Strongly valuing the concept of justice, Diego takes down all that he views as evil with extreme prejudice, especially revolutionaries, who he has a special hatred for due to them being responsible for his father's death,  while also disagreeing with how they try to change the government. Certainly, Diego is capable of seeing the rampant corruptness within the government but believes that changing the system from the inside is a far more efficient way with much less death involved. His powerful hatred of the Revolutionaries aside, he isn't the one to believe that all criminals are evil, and has even let a few thieves go on special cases(such as stealing some food to try and feed a family).

Without a shadow of a doubt, Diego's greatest trait that overshadows even his love for fighting and justice is his sheer determination. To him, the phrase "give up" doesn't even register in his mind, and if he makes a sincere promise, he'll go through with it regardless of the effort it'll take. This is even true in his fighting style,  where he forces himself to stay up despite his wounds, even if staying down would be a much easier and less painless choice. However,  Diego's determination can get to the point where it can seem as if he's obsessive, such as his fixation with avenging his father and destroying the revs despite the fact that Mugen knows that his father wouldn't want him to get consuned by revenge.

Around most people, Diego takes on a cool and collected demeanor and is pretty much a guy that you can hang around with often without getting weirded out. This is merely a facade that he keeps up around strangers, as he's a pretty hot-blooded energetic guy, although tries his hardest to at least have a little class. Still, most of his the, you can see through his words that he's definitely some country bumpkin, as he talks without much manners unless he's the situation definitely calls for it.

Socially, Diego is a pretty regular person except he's snarkier than a lot of people. Still, he tries not to overstep his boundaries with people and is quite a friendly guy(despite just how passionate and hot-blooded he is)when he isn't faced with criminal scum or revolutionaties. His snarky nature is even more exagerrated in his fights as he uses it as a method of throwing people off in fights, as he's a very pragmatic figher that'll take any way to win, something he learned from his father as well.
Likes: Justice, Fighting, Guns
Dislikes: Corruptness, Revolutionaries, Broccoli

History: As a child, Diego lived an extremely stable life. Born on the country side, his father came from a long line of warriors. Both of his parents were caring and he went to an excellent school. Even though his father wasn't around that much, the tales the family told about his father's adventures amazed him, which then started his dream to become as great of a soldier as his father was. As early as seven, he joined his father in rigorous training, which his mother disapproved of. Still, despite wanting her son to become a scholar, she saw just how much Diego loved everything about the marines, and that he just wasn't blindly following in his father's footsteps. As a result of this training, however, Diego lacked a social life that many other children had as he maintained a laser focus on his dreams, completely ignoring everything else.

At the age of eleven, his father feeling that he was adequately trained, often took him out on patrol and on lightweight missions despite his mother's protest. Around this time, Diego completely dropped out from school to enlist in a program meant to prepare people for the rigorous training of the marines. Witnessing his heroes in action inspired him to become a Marine even more than he already did, and strengthened the bond between the two even more. Diego learned plenty from his father that he didn't learn from his classes, adopting the family's fighting style, and even the little quirks his father possessed. However, one thing his father taught him that he kept close to him was the extent of the corruptions the marines had in them.

Even now, Diego could recall exactly how he felt whenever his father told him a story about a marine abusing his or her powers. It was the determination to rise up against it and stop in its tracks so that the organization could do what it was meant to do: Protect and serve the people of the world. Together, Diego believed that him and his father would forever change the face of the goverment and keep world peace for as long as they lived. Unfortunately for Diego, he didn't realize just how drastic of a turn his life was about to take.

On his sixteenth birthday, Diego and his mother waited patiently for his father to return home from patrol to celebrate his birthday. Days passed by as the family searched the town high and low for any sign of him, until Diego received a horrifying letter. As his mother and him perused through its content, you could see the life drain out of them as there mind attempted to comprehend the words being written. Giorno Russtti, father of Diego had been killed while on patrol by a band of Revolutionaries. For the first time in his life, Diego felt absolute hatred for the revolutionary army. He'd learned about them from his father's myriad of tales. Although his father always painted them in a sympathetic light, neither of the men agreed with the way they were doing things. His father's death lead him to have a fierce hatred of the group, and motivated him even more to become the world's greatest marine and fighter. At eighteen, Diego officially joined the marines and has been serving ever since.
