The next day had arrived and aside from a few cuts that had been bandaged the night before, Sebastian was feeling pretty good considering the assassination attempt on his life last night. Had it not been for the assassins being so talkative as to why they were there, he'd have never guessed it was the thieves who had done it. The very same thieves he'd decided to get off easy with only beating up one of their guys for stepping out of line. The fact they'd decided to retaliate in the way that they did served to show Bastian that his kindness was wasted on the likes of them.

As he lay in his bed, mulling over the idea of what he should do as punishment, a barmaid entered the room with breakfast. She gracefully walked over to a nearby table and sat his food down before giving him a wink and leaving out to deliver breakfast to the next room. "Thank you, my dear," he said with a grin as he sat up and walked over to the table. The meal was rather typical for breakfast; bacon, eggs, toast, and orange juice. He wasted little time digging in and eating his meal while his thoughts lingered to what to do about the thieves guild. Last time he'd allowed members to escape alive, but now they responded rather vengefully. If lucked had been against him, they'd have slit his throat and tossed his body in the ocean. Such a crime just had to be punished.

As he finished off his meal and lit a blunt, he kicked up his feet on the table and decided on a proper course of action. While burning down buildings was a favorite method of removal for the pirate, he was not ready to draw attention to himself just yet. As far as the rest of the world knew, he was dead along with everyone else that shared his name. For now he preferred to keep his presence hidden until he was ready to strike out at the world at full force again. He'd thought on the subject a bit longer before settling on just walking through the front door. As soon as he entered he could just start kicking ass and put a swift end to the last remain thieves on the island. "Hah, the marines would probably give me a damn medal," he said with a chuckle as he took a final hit of his blunt and put it out.

With a decent, if not simple, plan put together he was ready to begin his assault. He decided to wait until the bar was active before he made his move, mingling with the crowd as to make his presence known. When this was done, Sebastian made his move and vanished without anyone really noticing his missing presence. This would serve well as an alibi when he made his escape. The other part of this plan was the fact he knew there was a secret door that led to an alleyway near the bar. Since it was obviously a means for the thieves to secretly leave and enter their hideout, Sebastian intended to use this as his means of exiting the hideout once he killed all inside.

He made his way to the shop he'd been to yesterday when trying to retrieve information about his son, and awaited no prying eyes were around to take notice of him. The streets were practically empty aside from a few people going about their business, paying no attention to the young Belmonte. Once he was sure the coast was clear, he entered the shop and immediately locked the door and flipped the "open" sign to "closed". And just like the first time he'd entered the shop, the bell rang signalling a new customer had entered. Wasting no time, Bastian made dash for the back room entrance, given that the front of the shop was unattended by any at the time. Zed, the shop owner and thief guild member, was just about to appear from the back when Bastian greeted him with a flying knee to bridge of his nose.

The hit immediately knocked him backward and sent the shop owner sliding across the floor unconscious. "Remember this Zed, I think, you and your friends brought this on yourselves. Just like your old bosses did," he started as he turned toward the doorway leading to some stairs. Already the sound of feet rushing up them could be heard, "Good, that'll make this real easy."

Wasting no time, Sebastian swiftly stepped to the side of the stairwell entrance. He intentionally left Zed in place on the floor as a means to get everyone coming up the stairs to pile in. The plan was as simple as a plan could get, wait for the last guy to enter the room and then start kicking ass. Given that this was their hideout, it was safe to assume all would want stand and fight. That would ultimately make getting rid of them relatively easier.

Without so much as a hitch, the plan went just as it should. There were three men total that entered the room via stairwell and all three took the bait left for them. "Zed," one shouted as the trio moved to tend to their unconscious friend. Like a viper, Sebastian reached out and easily slipped his arm around the last thief to enter's throat. The man made a slight yelp, hardly audible over the others shouts and attempts to rouse the unconscious Zed. The thief tried to claw at Sebastian's face, but the pirate shrugged off the attempt and tightened his choke. Only when the other two thieves, one of which just so happened to the thief Sebastian had knocked out a day before, did Sebastian finally speak.

"Morning, gentlemen," he greeted as he continued to choke out the unlucky thief. "Let him go, Belmonte," the thief Mach growled angrily. "No, in fact, you both are just as fucked as he is. The thieves guild around here is a joke anyway. I'm probably doing you and this island a favor," Sebastian responded coolly. No sooner did he finish his statement did the pirate release his prey and let his lifeless body slump to the floor. There was thud on the floor from the body followed by a dead silence. The two thieves reacted just as Sebastian anticipated, with no where to go they had to fight.

Sensing the tension, Sebastian smiled mischievously and moved toward the center of the two thieves. In turn, the thieves separated so that the pirate would be put in between them. All in the room knew what this gesture meant, Sebastian was giving them a handicap by allowing himself to be surrounded. "Your about to learn first hand why you don't pick fights with a Belmonte," Sebastian stated as he relaxed his shoulders and cracked his neck. "Fuck you and your Belmonte bull-," the smaller thief began before receiving a swift side kick to his chest. The impact caused him to fall backwards to the floor and slide towards the nearby wall. As he gasped for breath, Mach msde his move and tried to land a solid punch to Sebastian's exposed face.

With his left leg still extended from delivering the side kick, Sebastian took the right hook from Mach right on the jaw. Following the flow from the force of the blow, Sebastian countered the punch by bringing that same extended left leg around and smacking his solid shin on Mach's neck. Mach responded in kind by grabbing Sebastian by the collar and slamming the pirate into the floor with enough force to crack said floor. Though Sebastian smirked amusingly at the counter by Mach, bravado aside the slam had done quite a bit of damage. Despite the the slight disorientation from the slam, Sebastian took advantage of his position and proceeded to clasp both hands behind Mach's head. This forced the taller thief to remain on the ground after the slam.

Keeping his left hand on the back of Mach's neck with enough effort that the veins Bastian's arm began bulge. Mach attempted to break free while shouting for his comrade to get up and help him. Noticing the previous thief starting to recover, Sebastian reacted immediately by deliver a series of elbows to the top of Mach's skull. Feeling Mach struggle to get free, Sebastian instinctively wrapped his left leg around the neck and hooking his left foot behind his knee. This further trapped Mach as now his left arm, from the shoulder to hand, and his head were tightly trapped between Bastian's left and right leg. Once the position was secured, Sebastian once again began to deliver elbows to the top of his foes skull. In addition to this, he began to squeeze on the neck of Mach so that he could strangle the man as well.

When Mach ceased to struggle, albeit after thrashing about in a mad effort to free himself, Sebastian released him and watched his body slump to the floor. "And then there was one," Sebastian stated as he turned to face the last thief. "Wait, please, I was just following orders. I swear I will never steal again," the thief said as he backed away from the approaching pirate. It was only then that Sebastian noticed this last guy was actually a kid, likely a teenager. This gave the pirate an idea, "Have a seat, as the last thief here that makes you leader. Let's talk business."

"No, I don't want to be a thief no more. I only joined cause my friends were in it," the thief started as he looked at his friends on the floor,"Anything is better than this." Sebastian allowed the kid thief to speak his peace, feigning intrigue in the thief's words. Only when finished did Sebastian have a better idea, one that would remove him far from this issue. Despite his best efforts, or lack thereof, he was sure this scuffle made a bit of noise. This sure to startle a few nosey citizens into getting some marines to investigate. While he did prepare for a prompt escape, via the back door that lead to the alley, he required to know just exactly where said door was.

"I don't blame you for wanting to change careers right now, but I can't simply let an eye witness escape. I'm trying to keep a low profile, you see, and destroying a business isn't exactly low profile. Unless, nah your not interested in fame and fortune," Sebastian began, trying to appeal to the kid thief's self interest. "What do you mean," the thief asked taking the pirate's bait. "What would you say to you taking responsibility for all this here," Sebastian asked plainly. "I'd say you were out of your mind," the thief replied just as swiftly as the question was asked. "Is that right," Sebastian asked raising a brow. "With respect, Mr. Belmonte," the thief added on.

"How much stolen goods are in this place," Sebastian asked. "You can have it all," the thief proclaimed as he pointed towards the stairs. "No, you will take it and give it to the marines when they arrive. You will tell them that the thieves guild forced you to join and you had been planning this from the start." "Planning what," the thief replied confused. Shaking his head, Sebastian continued, "I'm beginning to think all thieves are this stupid. Look around, kid, you will claim you did this to rid the island of the thieves. You will be known as a hero to the people, the marines may even hold a nice ceremony for you. That way I can get gone without any hassle."

The thief mulled over the idea in a matter of seconds, "I would be a fool not to agree," the thief replied. Sebastian grinned, "What's your name, kid," he asked. "Remey," the thief answered as he allowed the situation to sink into his skull. "Well, Remey, seems like life threw you a bone instead of shovelling shit in your face. Now how about showing me where that secret door is that leads to the alley," Sebastian said as he approached the wall where he assumed the door would be. Remey walked to a bookshelf and pushed in a large red book. The shelf slid over to the left and revealed a door that also slid to left to open.

Before the two was the alley, empty aside from the trash from the bar/inn filling it. "I really like this door," Sebastian said before turning to Remey, "Alright, kid, this is where we part. I think I hear knocking up front, probably the marines. Just stick to the story and you should come out of this on top." Remey nodded and thanked Sebastian as the pirate started to leave. He paused only a moment after stepping out the door, "Oh yeah, I almost forgot," he said before turning and delivering a swift yet hard straight left punch at Remey's nose. Immediately after the door would begin to shut and Sebastian would grin at Remey was holding his bloody nose, "Make sure you never fuck with a Belmonte, Remey, it could kill you."

As the secret door shut, Sebastian made his way to the back entrance of the bar/inn. He could still hear a few loud shouts and songs. "Good, things are still active," he thought to himself as he stepped into open room. While there weren't as many as when it initially was started, there were still quite a few people enjoying themselves. Sebastian immediately inserted himself into the atmosphere and after a hour or so, someone came rushing into the bar. "Hey, the marines just busted the thieves guild. They got some kid claiming he was the cause of it all." Quite a number of bar patrons exited the bar, Sebastian included.

They arrived at the town square where people surrounded the boy and cheered his name. Sebastian stood off to the side with a mug of rum in hand, watching in amusement. The little thief, despite a bandaged nose, appeared rather joyful. Remey just so happened to catch a glimpse of Sebastian and his smile slightly faded. Sebastian toasted his mug toward Remey and gave him nod, to which Remey quickly looked away and returned to his revelry.
As he took a sip from his mug, Sebastian once again found himself recalling another from his past crew. The little girl was called Amy, a rather dangerous sort with a gun, she was like Remey in that they were around the same age. "Geez, I must be getting old," he grunted as he took another sip of rum and headed back to the bar. He intended to get a full nights sleep, finally, before heading out to sea in search of his son. Securing passage would be a task in and of itself, anyway.
