1 Quick Question Thread on Sun Oct 18, 2015 7:15 pm

Hello everyone.

With the new members joining, I figured there will be a lot of questions. Now, sometimes the chatbox doesn't have staff, and sometimes mods don't always see the question thread you make. Not to mention, if there was a thread for every q. this forum would be packed.

So, I'm creating this. You can ask 1 or 2 simple questions here, and we'll answer them. This is to have one larger topic, as well as help staff help you by notifying us of your question. Remember, if you feel like your question is a pretty big one, or if you have 10 of them, you should post a thread and not in here.

So, let's get started.

I'm not sure what a Free agent task is but you can make any task that you want to go on.

"To do a Task, you should start by creating one or perhaps you can find one that is already approved and suits your character. It should be noted that Task come in all forms. Some may include going to sink Marine vessels, while another may make a Task protecting a village from a raid of bandits. Task do not need an employer and can simply be scenarios or quest your character or crew braves during their own journey"

@Crow

I think that is fine. But I think a royal would rather just be affiliated, alliance or w.e, with the marines and not be working under them.

I hope I was able to answer you guyz questions, if not send a PM my way.

In case other new members see this thread and have the same question.

It is because the system responds to devil fruit/haki rolls. Not a person.

When rolling, use the full posting window and not the quick reply box. You get there by clicking a button at the bottom of the thread that looks like this:

Once you are at the full posting window, you must scroll down beneath the posting box. There should be a section called "Dice Roll" with a drop down menu. Pick the appropriate dice(please don't roll the haki dice in the devil fruit thread.) Set the number of rolls you wish to do, and submit the post.

The admin account will automatically and immediately respond with your roll results. So by the time your window loads the thread again, the results should already be posted if you did everything correctly.

^to add to what Seiju said, if ever you get a page that says there's a new message posted, you have to hit modify and then select the dice again then post the message. If you save the message without going back, for whatever reason the posting thing forgets that you want to roll.

If you roll right after someone rolls, even in the Casino, since flood control is on, it won't allow the Admin account to post again until another 5 seconds or maybe it's 10. But regardless, it's just flood control prohibiting the Admin Account from posting constantly within that time frame.

Do either of the musician specializations allow for tier 4-6 skills (songs) like the other support based occupations?

Does weaponry attached to a cyborg also count toward equipment carried? I want to assume it's like getting attachments for your body, so I'd like to think it would not. Also seeing as tier 1 cyborgs can have three slots as opposed to the two equipment carry limit for tier 1 characters, I am further confused.

Do things like armored gloves, Weighted handwraps, brass knuckles etc. count for hand to hand damage or melee weaponry?

Dasnet: Cyborg Mods are their own thing, slots of their own. So no.

Amatsu: Hand to Hand.

Crafting guns - Blacksmith or Scientist? Both?

Blacksmith- As a blacksmith you can create various styles of weapons and armor for your crew. You keep everyones weapons sharp, your artillery based weaponry and weapon users well stocked and probably keep your pockets fat as well.
Bonus:
Costing 500 words each progressing tier from tier 1 up to tier 3, you can craft simple weapons, ammunition, and armor. Things past Tier 3 may not be crafted and these may not have special abilities.

Scientist- Quick witted and immensely intelligent, you might even be a bit shook in the head. As a scientist you specialize in creating unique concoctions, may they be beneficial or harmful.
Bonus:
You can create up to T3 potions, toxins, and even some forms of basic machinery.

Machinery would be something that doesn't need human interaction to operate, artificial intelligence, etc. Weapons are things like guns, so Blacksmith

Yo.

I have a Skypiean who's occupation is a Navigator. I want her to have a hand-to-hand combat specializaton. This doesn't mean that I can't reach Tier 6 in the custom style I've created does it?

as a navigator rather than martial artist you are simply denied the privilege to use canon fighting styles. As long as your specialization points are allocated correctly and you're the correct tier, even as a navigator u can use tier 6 martial arts that are custom.

A question about the Speed System. If I put 3 points in my weapon specialist occupation, how many total points will I have for my tier 1 techniques? It says I get +1 speed for 1 point and another +1 for 3 points. So is it 2 or 3 speed for my current techniques?

there is no point system for skills, so idk what to tell you about that. and that speed in the speed system is detailing your movement speed, has nothing to do with skills. Skills have their own speed that is determined during the Skill Set registration process.

Alright, I understand this. A question about skill speed now. My primary occupation is weapon specialist. Considering the fact that weapon specialists have well tuned bodies and have higher speed than the average human. Wouldn't it be okay to have a skill speed of 2? I currently have a skill speed of 1. Would it be wrong to ask after approval to have it altered ? (provided that a speed of 2 for the skills is appropriate)

Those lines confused me as well. What exactly does it mean when it lists this:

Owen Sharp wrote:
1 Point: +1 Speed Tier

3 Points: +1 Speed Tier

6 Points: +1 Speed Tier

I start off with 3 points in the specialization section, does that section correlate to this?
