1 Art of Weather on Wed May 17, 2017 12:58 pm

Fighting Style: Navigator
Skill Set Name: Art of Weather
Skill Set Information: This fighting style is focused on manipulating the weather of the users surroundings, known as the Art of Weather. Combined with a navigators extensive knowledge of the oceanography and weather systems, this style can be used to devastating effects. The first and main thing about this fighting style is the requirement of what is needed. Users of this fighting must have the Navigator as their occupation.
Clima-tactic: The weapon in which this style is used through, resembling a bo staff, though can be pretty much anything as long as the three part principle is the same, in terms of Elpheba she utilizes a walking stick sort of staff. The staff itself is able to split in to three different smaller parts allowing them to be carried around with ease. Members whom utilize this fighting style must gain the  Clima-tact. If a clima-tactic is destroyed, the art of weather user simply registers and pays for a new one and they are then granted the abilities to re-use this fighting style.

Passives:

  • Sorcery: Being such a unique battle style and not really requiring the user to do much in the way of actual battling except create the right combination, users of the Art of Weather have a 25% stamina discount when using this type of skill set. [Tier 3]
  • Because of their navigation capabilities allowing them to know the turn of the weather, once per thread the navigator is able to change the weather even if it is already dictated by someone else in the thread. The user can not "dictate" the weather is a skill has been used to modify it for three posts after the duration of the skill.  [tier 1]
  • Basic uses: The weather and cloud changing capabilities can be used for basic trivial non battle related things, sch as shower clouds and so forth, being used completely for aesthetics [tier 1]

Passives are still to be purchased
Skillset Strengths:

  • Elemental: Advantages: The Art of Weather grants the user an array of elements to utilize and combine. This allows an upper hand in dealing with Logia users allowing them to possibly harness the logia's natural weakness.
  • Numeracy: The Clima-tactic medium used by this skill set comes in three parts, each part has a significant elemental aspect upon its own and when combined together allows the user to create other weather related phenomena. The basic abilities are the Heat Ball, The cool ball and the electric ball.

Skillset Weaknesses:

  • Reliant: Naturally the user is reliant upon the Clima-tactic, the medium in which the user can manipulate elements. Without the Clima-tactic, the user is unable to wield any benefit from this skill set.
  • Weather halting: Some capabilities can be hindered through the natural weather, heavy downpours can greatly effect such things like the heat egg and so forth.

Description: The user creates a thunder ball at the end of their clima-tact, by touching someone with this thunder ball they recieve a small electric shock all over their body, though not strong enough to cause paralysis it can cause minor numbness all over the body as well as great pain.

Skill Name: Mirage Tempo
Tier: 1
Type Support
Range: -ten meters
Speed: 3
Description: By using the cool and heat balls, the user is able to create an imbalance in the temperature. The extreme difference in temperature causes major light refraction, allowing the user to disappear and create an illusionary copy of them self. This illusion is created due to a thin layer of light that spans six meters in height and ten meters in width. Alas the user at this stage can only create one copy of themselves, though they are proficient enough in this skill that the voices seemingly are duplicated and allows the user to project multiple voices at once. All those looking at the user in the direction of the screen are effected.

Skill Name: Cyclone Tempo
Tier: 1
Type Offence
Range: -10 meters
Speed: -contact
Description: Elpheba puts the "Heat Pole" and "Cool Pole" together like an X on the top of the "Electric Pole". She swings it like a bat, and the X detaches from the "Electric Pole" spinning towards her opponent. When the X hits, the hot and cold airs collide and create a massive wind that blows her opponent away. The X will return to her like a boomerang. When being used, the longer the two airs are building up within each of there respective tubes, the further away the opponent is he further they will be knockbacked upon the explosion, this is dependant on the range if the opponent is a meter away then the knockback will be a meter, this escalates all the way to the max range of the attack totalling a massive ten meter knockback. The eruption caused is a 1 meters in diameter.

Tier 2 Skills:

Skill Name: Swing Arm
Tier: 2
Type Offence
Range: Contact [1 meter]
Speed: Own
Description: Elpheba creates a "Thunder Ball" on the ball end of a piece of her climatact which is connected via a string. With the "Thunder Ball" on the tip Elpheba begins to twirl the piece on its connecting socket with the rest of the staff. After several spins, she swings the electrified piece at the enemy for a powerful electric attack. With the added rotation this technique does blunt force damage as well as a powerful electrical assault which proceeds to paralyse the limb/area that was struck for a total of two posts while also causing severe second degree burn damage from the electricity.

Skill Name: Thunder Lance Tempo
Tier: 2
Type Offence
Range: Contact
Speed: -Self
Description: This technique requires a full post of setting up UNLESS clouds are already present within the sky, if clouds are present the user simply releases a few lightning balls before activating this technique. If no clouds are in the skies this technique requires this set up. First the user releases heat and cold balls within this post to create a small condensced electric cloud, upon completion the user proceeds to connect the cloud [which is 50 meters in the sky] with her Climatact via a thunderbolt, essentially turning her staff in to a charged weapon, the user then proceedw to strike the opponent releasing all the electricity from the cloud into the opponents body. Now as this requires an external power source, it is much much stronger than many other tier 2 technqiues due to the set up requirment. Due to this, this technique actually causes full paralysis of the body for a single post aswell as massive electricity damage to an opponent. As the connection generally flows behind her, any one moving beind her will get shocked and take the damage listed, though this will disrupt the connection ending the technqiue.

Skill Name: Sun Tempo
Tier: 2
Type Offence
Range: 20 meters
Speed: 4
Description: The user releases a heat egg, whether soley from the heat pole or from the fully formed clima-tact, this does not matter, as from this heat egg which has been super heated, releasing said egg which now resembles a bright orange sun. This egg grows to be around 8 meters in diameter in a near instance and engulfs its target causing powerful and increadibly painful second degree burns over the engulfed areas of the body.

Tier 3 Skills:

Skill Name: Downburst
Tier: 3
Type Offence
Range: -30 meters
Speed: -4
Description: Access to the Sorcery Clima-tact is a requirement for this technique, it is unable to be used with the basic Clima-tact With the Sorcery Clima-tact weather phenomena no longer need requirements, with access to the weather balls and weathery powers the user need only release a weather ball. In this case the user access a weather ball that releases a weather ball in to the sky and summons it to hatch,, by simply swinging the Clima-tact downwards either straight away or for up to two posts afterwards, the user is able to release a powerful downburst of wind, a downburst being condensed wind that presses downwards against he ground can cause sever blunt force damage and crushing damage to those caught within. The user is able to summon a downburst within 30 meters of the user, and it is indeed controlled by the Clima-tact. The largest size downburst the user can summon is 25 meters in diameter with a 5 meter spread, while they can create a downburst smaller with longer spreads as long as it does not exceed the size limit. This technique is known to crush foes in its way while the spread out of wind can easily sweep even the heaviest foes from their feet and cause large knock back damage equal to the downbursts spread range. If caught in the center though one would not be knocked back but instead forced downwards into the ground from the sheer force of the downburst falling from the sky.

Skill Name: Dry Thunder
Tier: 3
Type Offence
Range: 50 meters
Speed: -5
Description: Access to the Sorcery Clima-tact is a requirement for this technique, it is unable to be used with the basic Clima-tact With the Sorcery Clima-tact weather phenomena no longer need requirements, with access to the weather balls and weathery powers the user need only release a weather ball. In this case, the user expels a weather ball in to the sky before commanding it to hatch. The user can then take control over the Dry thunder that is released from the 50 meter wide thunder cloud that forms within the sky, by bringing her clima-tactdown the user is then capable of summoning dry lightning within the fifty meter range, now this is not just any lightning.

Classified as dry lightning, it is the type of lightning that is brought forth by Dry Thunderstorms that instantaniously dries up precipitation wherever it hits, in normal cases this type of lightning ignites all that it touches and is the most common form of lightning that brings on Wild fires. Being that this is more weaponised, it can cause severe damage than your average dry lightning when it makes contact, due to the fact its lightning it will completely paralyse all that it hits, if the lightning strikes downwards and hits the head, death will follow. Full body paralysis will come into effect if direct shots are taken, [chest area] while if a limb itself is struck that limb will be fully paralysed for two posts. No matter where the lightning strikes the body third degree burns will cover the opponent, though durabilty of course plays a factor and many strong opponents could survive though [would more than likely be seriously injured] this also means their clothing will ignite. The main assault of this thunder though is to burn objects that it ignites and it does not halt, fire spreads rapidly, idealy used to ignite ships. The user can release THREE of these thunder bolts within a 2 post count before needing to release a second weather ball, and the user has a large 50 meter radius, It can burn flammable objects that are on the MDL.

    I don't know about this. But if another staff member agrees with this I will say once per thread, unless you changing it via a skill.

    Say someone has a skill that somehow makes it begin to storm for a certain amount of time. Your next post you won't be able to just be like "Clear skies bby".

Edited everything but the wind one. NAmi has been seen using wind directly through the Clima tact,

There is the

Cyclone Tempo (サイクロン テンポ Saikuron Tenpo?): Nami puts the "Heat Pole" and "Cool Pole" together like an X on the top of the "Electric Pole". She swings it like a bat, and the X detaches from the "Electric Pole" spinning towards her opponent. When the X hits, the hot and cold airs collide and create a massive wind that blows her opponent away. The X will return to Nami like a boomerang.[8] Ironically, Usopp added this function as another party use with no idea of its offensive power. This was first used against Miss Doublefinger. An upgraded form of this move can be used by the Perfect Clima-Tact. This is called Cyclone Tempest in the 4Kids dub. This move was censored to use only one part of the staff in the 4Kids dub, due to the X resembling a cross.

Which i used with her very very first Usopp made clima tact.

But this is taken directly from the Gust Sword technique that nami uses where she uses a single piece of the climatact to release a wind based assault.

Gust Sword (突風 (ガスト) ソード Gasuto Sōdo?): Nami points one of the three segments of the Clima-Tact at an enemy. A small bubble forms at the tip facing the opponent which then bursts and shoots a gust of pressurized air at an enemy at high speed. It resembles a thin whirlwind. This was first used against a member of the New Fishman Pirates who tried to attack her



seen here as well as with the image above.

If i need to have an "upgraded" clima-tact to use that skill thats fine i'll add that in and just hold of using it until i have one of this level, but this clearly shows that there is a wind aspect to the clima-tact being that only a single piece is required and it is neither the heat cool or thunder ball being used.

lets save it for an upgraded clima-tact. i'm gonna add a regular one to the equipment shop and an upgraded one. Before I do this though, should there be any other levels of clima tact i look to add? or just base, heat bubble, cold bubble, and thunder bubble. Then upgrades which has the three base bubbles then this wind ability.

Hmm, seems fair, i'd take a look at the perfect climatact and the sorcery/fourth climatact.

The perfect climatact is the one which is enhanced with dials so allows for a but more variety than the basic clima-tact while the sorcery/fourth is the one thats basically enhanced with weatherpeia shit like the weatherball which makes it the strongest one [while the fourth is basically the sorcery but enhanced with pop greens to extend and shrink and no longer needs to be a three parter].

I would just go for the basic one and the "advanced" being the sorcery/advanced clima-tact. seeing as it incorporates the rests abilities in to it [and with the distinct lack of dial specialists making the other kind of naff to get].

Also removed the Gust sword and added in the basic Cyclone Tempo for the basic Climatact instead.

Sorcery: Being such a unique battle style and not really requiring the user to do much in the way of actual battling except create the right combination, users of the Art of Weather have a 50% stamina discount when using this type of skill set. [Tier 3]

^ This is the only problem I see tbh. 50% reduction is a bit ridiculous even for Tier 3. Similar T3 passives are around 20%. I'm fine with 25%.

Well when reading, it does mention that passives are subjected to the individual skill set. Normally a 25% passive is great especially for skill sets that actually make sense in devouring stamina, where as this skill set logically wouldn't really cause stamina loss at all because it doesnt involve much apart from a smart mind to use compared to swords or fruits and so forth that require heavy movement or release form the users own body.

Though i edited, i'd like to put in 30% over the usual 25% cuz it should be taken in to concideration that this skill set is not heavily reliant on a characters stamina.

Well no, 25% was the bumped up version for this particular skillset.

The usual is 20% for a Tier 3 stamina reduction so I gave you 25%.

If you want to dispute it or get Sabo/Jade's opinion on it I'm totally fine with that. If they agree to 30% I won't deny it or anything.
