Spoiler:

Task Name: Back Into the Fire - Cyrus + Bazel
Tier: 3
NPC or PC: NPC
Location: Baltigo
Crew, Team, or Personal: Team
Description: With their plans set and their names already well known throughout the city, Cyrus and Bazel head back in to finish the job. This time however, the city has been put on high alert, waiting for these two to make their next move.
Enemy Details:
Wayland's: 100 T1 Pirates; 50 T2; 25 T3
Jane's: 100 T1 Forgotten; 100 T2 Kawaii (half Wind-Ups); 3 Guardians of Scrap (form once the other robots have been destroyed).
Boss: N/A

OOC: We need 8 posts total

Cyrus let out a heavy breath as he leaned over the railing of The Dreadnaught. The sun had crested up above the horizon, the dawn of a new day. It seemed as though he and Bazel had gone over the plans countless times throughout the night. He was tired, but pushed on by excitement and adrenaline. Today was the day. He was going to finally end this all with Jane and Baz would take care of Wayland. No matter what happened by the end of today, Baltigo would be forever changed. Where do you want this generator boss? Leo's voice broke Cyrus's thoughts as the large minkman came topside toting the EMP Generator like a small bag of luggage rather than the devastating machine it was. The wagon is parked down below on the dock, feel free to load it up there while we wait for Bazel. Thanks Leo. Leo grunted and nodded, Not a problem Captain, looking forward to today.

You two have become the best of buddies these last couple of days, huh? Zoe's voice chimed in as Leo walked down the gangplank to the dock. Turning, he found Zoe only a foot or so away, clearly wanting to speak privately. If you're wondering if I'm mad that you asked him to go along with you on this suicide mission, you're right, I am. If you go and get your ass killed it's one thing, but make sure the kitty cat gets back here. If anyone can take over this little rag tag team of Revolutionaries and thugs you've put together over the years, it's him.
I- Cyrus began but was cut off.
Nope, still talking. Leo, nor anyone else for that matter, saw the shit I saw back on Alabasta. I can't pretend to know what it feels like to have to kill your wife and child, but don't go crazy on us, alright? Do what you have to I suppose but don't get carried away. Suddenly, without warning, Zoe slapped Cyrus across the face. His cheek lit up like a firework, pain spiderwebbing across his raw skin, That's for thinking about doing something stupid. So when you do, because I know you will, remember what I just did. Don't be an idiot. Zoe said as she straightened out Cyrus's coat collar before turning and walking back down below deck.

Um, ow? Cyrus said as she left, rubbing his bright red cheek. He knew she meant well, but it didn't make it sting any less. He let out a sigh as he watched Leo load the generator into the wagon. Their plan was borderline insane, hitching Baz up to the wagon like the horse. He'd fly them into the city in a blaze of glory, Leo and Cyrus holding onto the back of the wagon for dear life. Cyrus began whistling Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer while he leaned on the railing of his ship, waiting for Baz to arrive.

"So you're going to fly in a wagon?" said Kash with a rather confused face. She wasn't sure why Bazel was agreeing to be someone's horse. "I just don't get it, you're completely different when you're with your family. It's almost like you enjoy being a human" said Kash who almost missed Bazel being the brooding individual that he usually was. "Eh, It's the easiest way to get into The Red City without taking an extended trip on the wagon" said Bazel who was changing his clothing after his harsh battle with Alayna. "So you're going to fight a Warlord hmm?" said Sadie who looked towards The Red City and saw a ship in the sky "Yea, that ship in the sky, it belongs to him." said Bazel who looked at that ship with the focus of a lion. His golden irises from his bird burned through his usual violet irises and his crew definitely took notice of that. "Seems like you're focused eh?" said Kash who smirked before Bazel smiled back.

"Good luck I guess captain." said Kash as she walked back towards the Desert Star with Elizabeth and Sadie who both gave their thumbs up to Bazel. It was then Bazel had to speak to his best friend Faust who was standing between Bazel and his destination which was the wagon. "So The Red King vs Wayland Torturos?" said Nick with a smirk on his face. Bazel couldn't look his best friend in the eye right now but he smirked "The Red King? That's what they call me these days eh?" said Bazel who liked the sound of that name. "Bazel do you think you can defeat someone as strong and revered as strong as a Seven Warlord of the sea?" said a concerned Faust. Bazel with his head down put his right hand on Nick's left shoulder and proceeded to look up at his best friend. "I'm gonna kick his ass and then I'm gonna kick every other ass that is standing in the way of me becoming king." said Bazel with a smile. Faust began to cry as he would place his right hand on Bazel's left shoulder "Knock em dead captain!" said Faust who would also start to cry. "That's the plan!" said Bazel before he would walk past Nick towards Cyrus's wagon which looked extremely heavy. He attached the shackles to his ankles and looked back at his brother. "Let's do this"

Leo burped and hung over the side as Cyrus's knuckles turned white from his grip on the edge of the wagon, You doing okay? Cyrus said with a grin as the wagon bumped and swayed through the morning sky. Leo, who now had the EMP Generator strapped to his back like a backpack, didn't lift his head but instead gave a weak thumbs up to his captain. Sorry about this Leo, I didn't realize you were airsick. The ship never seemed to bother you. Leo sat up and wiped the edges of his mouth, First time flying Captain, can't say I knew about this either. It's gonna be a messy landing, that's for sure. Leo said grimly as he closed his eyes and held onto the side of the wagon as well. Cyrus looked over to the flaming bird-man that was currently carrying them, aka his brother. Beyond Baz loomed the Red City, still dark from Cyrus's EMP just 24 hours earlier.

The entire city grid should have been fried from yesterday, not to mention they're still probably cleaning up the Casino and Auction House from our little meddling. Cyrus said loud enough for Baz and Leo to hear him over the howling wind around them. I'm not totally sure what to expect. Odds are Jane had some robots out of the city that she may have called in or managed to make some over the night, so even though I killed all of the ones stationed in the city yesterday, still be on your guard. As far as Wayland's goons are concerned, I don't know what to expect from them. We basically tore up their city yesterday and dealt crippling financial blows. I have a feeling the welcoming party isn't going to be kind. Several minutes later, they were flying over the walls of the city and as if on cue the sounds of gun fire erupted from the rooftops of the skyscrapers.

A bullet ripped off a chunk of wood from the wagon near Cyrus's left hand, Shit Baz, they were waiting for us. Take us down to the street level. We're sitting ducks up here. Assuming his brother would listen to him, the wagon would descend down to the street where Cyrus would be unsurprised to find a large force of both robots and pirates alike waiting for them. Well, here we go. Cyrus said as he unsheathed his sword and prepared for the wagon to touch down.

The group were flying and Bazel was actually stronger than he remembered. He had to use Mach I just to fly the ship properly due to the mass amount of weight he was lifting over such a long while. It wasn't long before the Red City came into view and Bazel knew the greeting that await them wasn't pleasant. Bazel's mind was wrapped around Wayland and how strong he really was. Judging from the horror stories Bazel heard this guy was the real deal which didn't bother him much because he wanted a real fight. The name "Midas" did have Bazel questioning just what Wayland could do, maybe it was because he was a rich man due to his slave trades? Who knew but it wasn't time to focus on that. The wall was approaching and the wagon along with Bazel would pass it and immediately get bombarded with gunfire which Cyrus obviously noticed because he wanted Bazel to descend. "I'll make cover. You guy's just get ready to fight!" yelled Bazel as he immediately started to descend.

Once Bazel got low enough which was roughly 15 meters up from the ground his already flapping wings would start to flap harder before releasing a tornado of fire from his wings towards the forces in front of them. Men would scurry trying to get out of dodge from the tornado but some were ultimately scorched. With the wagon low enough Bazel's body heated enough for the shackles to come off. His wings would turn back into his arms as Bazel began to swing forward releasing giant waves of heat from his palms which caused the bullets coming at them to bounce backwards, even knocking some buildings down in the process which caused some of the men from the higher ground falling down through the rubble. The debris would begin to buy them time but time wasn't enough. They had to advance forward or this wasn't going to work. "Oi, I can draw their fire for as long as you need but eventually we'll need to do something about all of their fire. It's an entire army up ahead we'll be here for hours trying to defeat them. I think it's time you do your thing big brother" said Bazel with a smirk on his face as he would start backing up towards his brother who should be free from the wagon by now.

With the excess heat from Bazel's attacks, the harness he had fitted himself with to fly the wagon had gone up in flames. As a result the wagon had come free of the flying fire bird man about 5m from the ground. Cyrus felt his entire skeleton shake as they hit the ground, the wagon shuddering beneath them but somehow managed to stay in one piece. Due to the speed at which Baz was flying when the wagon came free, Leo and Cyrus were currently heading down the street at break neck speeds as Bazel's inferno attack burned high overhead. Cyrus couldn't help himself, he screamed. It wasn't a scream of terror though, but more a scream to signify how alive he felt in this moment. This was insane, this was exhilarating. Several dozen meters in front of them robots and pirates burned alive. As the wagon screeched down the street, passing side streets and alleys alike, Cyrus noticed more troops moving in, attempting to surround the trio.

Around them buildings began to literally melt and explode from the collateral damage of Bazel's attack on the city. Up ahead a building began to collapse and if Cyrus didn't stop soon, he and Leo would be crushed. Leo, grab my leg! Cyrus shouted as he scrambled to the back of the wagon and stabbed his blade into the pavement beneath him while Leo, with one hand hanging on for dear life to the side of the wagon, grabbed Cyrus's right leg with the other. Cyrus's seastone-reinforced blade was more than strong enough to tear up the pavement without receiving a scratch, but the added drag was enough to slow the wagon as the building collapsed in front of them. As a result, Wayland's crew and Jane's robots who had been in front of them were either crushed or blocked off for the time being. Cyrus jumped down from the wagon and took in the scene around him as pirates and more robots alike began to emerge from the side streets and back alleys.

Cracking his neck, Cyrus smiled, This is going to be fun. He then activated his ROOM, generating a pale blue dome around the three amigos as well as a large majority of the attacking enemies. First, let's see what we're dealing with here. Cyrus said as he activated his scan ability and each of the enemy's weapons and their locations became crystal clear to Cyrus.
And uppppp we go. Cyrus said, using his cane like the conductor of a symphony as the enemies weapons all ascended into the air, free of their grasp and holsters. Knives, guns, swords and even grenades alike lifted into the air in a massive storm cloud of metal death. Alright gentlemen, I suggest you duck. Cyrus said to his two friends before beginning to slice the air around him with his sword. Careful to avoid Baz and Leo, he would separate any of the pursuing enemies unlucky enough, or simply stupid enough to be caught in his ROOM into several dozen pieces each. Letting out a sigh, Cyrus gazed upon his handiwork as the weapons continued floating in the air above them and numerous different robotic and humanoid body parts littered the ground at their feet. Well, I can't say that's all of them. It looks like some were smart enough to stay clear of my ROOM once they saw what was happening. That should buy us some time though, eh?

Enemies:

Wayland's: 50 T1 Pirates; 20 T2; 10 T3
Jane's: 50 T1 Forgotten; 30 T2 Kawaii (half Wind-Ups)

Stamina & Skills:

Skill Name: Scan I
Tier: 1
Type Devil Fruit
Range: ROOM
Speed: Own
Description: This skill was designed to simulate the numerous different scanning machines found within a hospital. The user sends out a pulse that scans everyone and everything within his room and feeds back information. At this tier the user will only be able to see the skeletons of people, showing where any broken bones or previous injuries might be and weak points to attack as well as any items the targets might have hidden on them.

Skill Name: Amputate
Tier: 1
Type Devil Fruit
Range: ROOM
Speed: Own
Description: This technique allows the user of the Ope Ope no Mi to cut anything found within his ROOM with a sword or bladed weapon and does not need to make physical contact with the target to do so. When cut the target is not harmed even after the ROOM is dropped or the target leaves the ROOM. The cut target, if living, can still move and act freely on their own as if still connected. The target will remain amputated until someone puts them back together. The only thing that cannot be cut is obviously Seastone.

Skill Name: ROOM IV
Tier: 4
Type Devil Fruit
Range: 100m AOE
Speed: Own
Description: The precursor to all of the Ope Ope user’s techniques, the user creates a spherical space around his targets, in which he can manipulate anything he wants in a variety of ways; he cannot perform any of the other techniques in this skill set outside of this spherical area. Within the sphere the user can freely move objects less than 100lbs (non-living creatures) with a form of telepathy as well as attach cut objects to one another as if they were always one whole piece to begin with. The user can hold off on the activation of his ROOM by creating a small circle around his hand, which later will expand to form the ROOM itself. At this tier the ROOM can be made 100m in diameter and up to 90m high.

Stamina: 410/500

Bazel continued to fight back the wave of robots and pirates that attacked him to no avail It was as if there were a sea of them never ending. The more Bazel knocked back the came forward and the scrap metal just at there. Bazel was also having a hard time dodging bullets and so forth at this time. To say he wasn't putting all of his abilities to the test would be a lie. "Looks like Cyrus is having more fun on that ride than I've had since I've been here" said an annoyed Bazel who continued to fight. That slight distraction caused problems for Bazel as a robot grabbed his leg which caused him to look down "Hmm?" followed by one lunging forward around his torso and then another around his other leg. They began to swarm the body of Bazel before they were all absorbed with the scrap into a higher being of robot. It was a giant creature that stood tall and stalked the skies. Bazel was literally in the belly of the beast right now covered in wiring. "The fuck is all of this" said Bazel as he tried to break free from the wires but found them too thick to simply muscle out of.

The rest of the scraps piled up and built another one of these giant robots. It was obvious Jane was done playing with those who came on her land. The two robots stalked the town crushing buildings and moving people in an attempt to find the man who called her out Cyrus Kincaid. Bazel had a front row seat to this destruction as he could see clear as day through the chest of the giant bot. "If I don't get out of here I'm screwed. Cyrus is gonna send this thing to hell not knowing I'm in here" said Bazel who needed a way out and one quick. Bazel would then start to steam from his nostrils and mouth closing his eyes to focus his remaining energy. He knew he was going to be tired and annoyed by the time he got to Wayland but he still believed in himself. Bazel let out a large vacuum of fire which caused the robot to start heating up before the fire burst through his chest eventually exploding causing the other bot to stumble some as if it was going to tip over. Bazel on the other hand went crashing downwards into a ditch sliding as he hit the ground.

Cyrus watched as robots and pirates alike edged closer to the walls of his ROOM but went no further. They refused to cross the threshold as they watched their comrades roll around on the street in pieces. Fine, if you won't come to me then I'll just come to you. Cyrus said to no one in particular as he cut towards the buildings that fell or partially fell within his ROOM. The cut sections of buildings would begin to slide at an angle, down into the side streets and alleyways the combined forces of Jane and Wayland had occupied while Baz and Cyrus retaliated against their surprise attack. Some were smart and fast enough to begin running back, away from the main road and away from being crushed by the falling sections of building. Many others were nowhere near as luck as Cyrus watched them disappear beneath the mass of metal, glass and mortar. Human screams rang out while the robots said nothing, silently accepting their destruction.

Um, Captain? Leo said hesitantly as scraps of metal and robot began flying past the two Revolutionaries to three central areas on the ground, some 30m away from them. Cyrus looked up to the cloud of confiscated weapons he had floating in the air above him, Don't look at me, those aren't mine. Cyrus said to Leo as the scraps of metal, wiring and glass began to take shape, Shit, it's more of those Scrap Guardians Bazel and I faced out in the desert. Cyrus looked around for his brother who had been fighting near them not that long ago, Speaking of which, where is Baz? Cyrus asked, looking back at Leo who only offered a sheepish shrug, his hands out at either side as if to say, I don't know, wasn't my turn to watch him.

Cyrus sighed and shook his head, Great, well first thing's first. We deal with these things and then we look for my idiot brother. Cyrus raised his sword as the three guardians completed their assembly and began to advance. If I remember correctly, these things are held together by electromagnets. There's a center sphere computer that basically acts as the brain. Find the brain and we're golden. Cyrus said as he slashed towards the one on the left, attempting to dice it into numerous pieces. As the beast fell apart, Cyrus noticed the orb roll out and onto the ground. Before it got a chance to reassemble itself, Cyrus used Shambles to switch the computer orb with a single beli note he held out from his pocket. Leo, catch! Cyrus said, tossing the computer orb to Leo who caught it in a single meaty claw and, using his electro, fried the hell out of the thing. Alright, onto the nex- Cyrus said as he began to target the next Scrap Guardian, now only 20m away. However, before he could rip this next one to shreds, he noticed that steam was erupting from all over its body. Before Cyrus could say a word, a man/bird made entirely of flames erupted from the Scrap Guardian's chest. Behind him Cyrus heard Leo say blatantly, Found him.

Bazel had hit the ground pretty rough which you could tell just by looking at him. He was curled up like a ball and smoke was emitting from his body. Bazel had no reason to be down here fighting these robots anymore. He should be have just flown up to Wayland's ship instead of wasting his energy down here. As Bazel slowly awoke he began to push off of the ground trying to stand but found his legs to be extremely weak under him. "Shit" said the fire bird as he stood up wobbling left than right before finding his center. It was clear that Bazel had just rocked himself harder than he needed before his eventual matchup with Wayland but that was the fun of battle, the little nicks and bruises that happen before the big showdown. Around him however was nothing but scrap metal and downed pirates trying to get themselves together in an effort to make a run for it. Bazel let them be because he knew none of them wanted anything to do with Cyrus or himself. They weren't in the same league and this complete decimation showed that. Bazel began to make his way towards his brother, kicking robot parts out of his path towards him.

"You know this is the part where we separate right?" joked Bazel with a smirk on his face before he started to look around the battlefield not trying to look at his brother because he might actually get emotional. Last time Bazel was with one of his brothers they ended up dying shortly after. Bazel never truly got over the death of his younger brother Love and he hated the idea of something happening to Cyrus which made Bazel act like a child. He couldn't look his brother in the eye for this goodbye. Bazel would then leap forward to hug his brother tightly and whispered in his ear "I love you brother." said the fire bird before he let his brother go and proceeded to smile as he looked at him. "I'll see you at our ships in the morning." said Bazel before he gave a thumbs up to his brother. Bazel would turn his back to his brother before he started to fly off, but it was then he remembered something. "Oh yea, Kash made these pills awhile back for me. They'll give you energy if you get low during your fight with Jane." said Bazel as he threw three capsules at his brother. "anything more than two pills and you'll start losing muscle strength temporarily." said Bazel before he took off.

Cyrus looked down at half a robot that was slowly crawling towards him and Leo. The inhumane bastard had no idea it was already dead. If there was one thing to say about these robots, they were determined. It was useful to have a fighting force made up of unfeeling, emotionless, super soldiers and Cyrus was beginning to understand Jane's genius. As the robot neared, it reached one final hand up to Cyrus's leg, but the Revolutionary simply stabbed it through the head, ending its meager existence as the light behind its eyes flickered out. One has to wonder at what point are we playing God? To that end, is it wrong to do so? Cyrus asked no one in particular as Bazel walked towards him. Ah yes, all according to the plan. You fly off to melt the golden boy of Red City and I walk bravely into the laboratory of the cybernetic queen. Quite the tale they'll be singing, eh? Cyrus joked, trying to lighten the gravity of the situation.

When Bazel hugged him, Cyrus was caught off guard. It had been years since he had expressed any real emotion or a loving touch of another human being. Guarded and reserved, he found it easier to live this way. The man raised his hands and patted his brother on the back, You talk as if this is a goodbye. This is a see you later, just like before but for far less time. Cyrus said, reassuring his younger brother. As the two pulled away from each other and Bazel tossed him the pill bottle, Cyrus nodded in thanks, Good to know, I'll have to thank her in the morning. Fly safe Baz and if things get hairy, get out of there. Leave without me if you have to, I give you full permission, my crew has similar orders. As Cyrus watched his brother take to the sky in a blaze of glory, he turned back to Leo, I suppose we'll need to find a way to get to the south end of the city, huh? Cyrus asked as he looked over at the wagon sitting in the middle of the charred street. Almost instantly a devilish grin crossed his face as he looked from the wagon to Leo and back to the wagon. He watched the wheels turn in Leo's head as the minkman began to understand what his captain was silently suggesting. Raising an accusatory finger with a stern voice Leo said, No, nope, absolutely not. You are not hooking me up to that thing.
