Arc Type: Standard
Arc Name: To stride for god, or away from him?
Arc Tier: Tier 3
Sea: Paradise
Island: Occulto
Arc Description:
Jiang Qi, with years of training on Zou and the growth of a spirit rebellious of its ways, decides the exploring the world is a better use of the time he spends on earth. Rooted deep within his yearning for wealth and knowledge, he decides to start on an island well known for being something of a holy land. Occulto, well known for being centuries old, has proven itself both capable of self-sustaining and that it holds a rich, religious history is the ideal starting place for something that seeks both of what it has proven to be. Making it to the island is one task, but in order to see the city on the inner circles is another. Qi's ultimate goal is to be able to make it into the city without causing trouble and then to explore and expose how the city is capable of keeping itself running and the history behind it.

Beginning:
Task Name: Exploring the Outer Rim
Tier: T1
NPC or PC: PC
Location: Occulto's Outer Rim
Crew, Team, or Personal: Personal
Description:
Primarily an introductory task. Its sole purpose is to dictate Qi's arrival on the island and his thoughts while he explores it. It'll also give a glimpse into the outer rim's population, way of life, and how the factions are able to get to and from the island without conflict.
Enemy Details: 0
Boss: No

Task Name: Application to explore the Holy City
Tier: T2
NPC or PC: PC
Location: Occulto's Outer Rim
Crew, Team, or Personal: Personal
Description:
With the intention to keep out of trouble, Qi decides that he doesn't want to make the attempt to enter the city illegally. Entering through legal means is a long, grueling process of written applications and face-to-face screenings done by high end representatives. Due to the elevated appreciation of the city within the walls, the screenings are extra scrutinizing and due to that reason, more people are turned away than let in.
Enemy Details: 0
Boss: Yes
Task Boss:
Boss Name: Gretchin
Tier: 2
Description:
Among applicants attempting to enter the holy city, Gretchin is known less as an interviewer and more of a personal nightmare. She's an older lady with graying hair that is always tied up into a nice, tight knot on the top of her head. She's got thin-framed glasses and has a permanent scowl for a face. Her job as an interviewer is to decide whether or not to let an applicant into the city, but she takes her job one step further. Only individuals of the highest class make it by her and if you are not one of those, she makes it her mission to tear you down on an emotional level, sending most of her applicants from the interview room in tears and ending careers as a hobby.

Task Name: Fortunate Meeting
Tier: T2
NPC or PC: PC
Location: Occulto Farms
Crew, Team, or Personal: Personal
Description:
As things with Gretchin didn't play out as expected, the plan for gaining access to the holy city was being forcibly revamped. Qi's time in the outer rim and on Occulto as a whole were being drawn out by the second. The outer rim had a lot to offer in terms of things to do, but it wasn't the type of scene that really appealed to Qi. However, a meeting with {unnamed individual} may end up turning things around for him after all.

Moving to a more secluded meeting place, {unnamed individual} and her farming friend were people that really could get Qi's plans moving at a faster pace. As things turn out, they may end up being even faster than the traditional methods while still being no more illegal... once inside. Unfortunately, a collection squad making its rounds to the farms would force an abrupt end to the meeting and cause a little bit of trouble for Qi!
Enemy Details:

  • 3 Grunts
  • 1 T1 assistant
  • 1 T2 Inspector

Boss: No
Middle:
Task Name: Gaining Entrance
Tier: T2
NPC or PC: PC
Location: Occulto Farms >> Holy City
Crew, Team, or Personal: Personal
Description:
Even though not through intended methods, Qi's stay in the city won't be interrupted once he's on the inside. However, gaining access to the city is still, as it was, the problem. Getting through the numerous armed guards will be a problem, but if there are any gaps in any defense, Qi has the skills to find and abuse them.
Enemy Details:

  • 4 grunts on either side of each entrance
  • Numerous grunts saddled atop the outer wall surrounding the city

Boss: No

Task Name: Exploring the Holy City
Tier: T1
NPC or PC: PC
Location: Holy City
Crew, Team, or Personal: Personal
Description:
Having gained access to the city, Qi is free to explore as he sees fit. His initial plan of keeping himself out of trouble forces him to stay his hand and keep from emptying people's pockets (of what little they have), but his commitment to learning what makes Occulto tick is far more valuable than the few coin he may gain. His first order of business is to just experience what the city has to offer, including entertainment, daily activities, and what type of education these people may get away from the mainland.
Enemy Details: 0
Boss: No

Task Name: Daily Prayer
Tier: T2
NPC or PC: PC
Location: Holy City
Crew, Team, or Personal: Personal
Description:
Occulto is an island inhabited solely by believers of the faith. As such, one of the primary activities is prayer and every individual that lives on the islands makes a trip to pray. People from the port towns and farms may only make the pilgrimage once a week, but those living within the holy city take part in a daily prayer. Sessions are held within the churches that dot the city. People visiting the city, but don't live on the island as a follower, are prohibited from entering these churches, but as it's one of the foundational practices of the island, Qi wants to see it personally anyway.
Enemy Details: 2 T2 guards at the door
Boss: No

Task Name: Inner City Inner Workings
Tier: T3
NPC or PC: PC
Location: Inside Occulto
Crew, Team, or Personal: Personal
Description:
The higher end of the religious order are, obviously, also the political decision makers for the island of Occulto. Each decision they make is deeply rooted in their faith, but as with any ideal, there are those that do not follow the straight and narrow path set before them. Find this is more than what Qi had imagined he'd see, but it is more interesting than he could have hoped to find otherwise and he drastically wants to know more.
Enemy Details: T3 and T4 Priests
Boss: No

Task Name: Name Clearing
Tier: T3
NPC or PC: PC
Location: Inside Occulto
Crew, Team, or Personal: Personal
Description:
Turning himself into an enemy of the state was not Qi's intention, but not all plans go off without a hitch. Surviving the priests was one thing, but a greater foe has emerged to take his head. He won't be getting off so easily this time, so he's got to manage to make it out of the city or clear his name before an inevitable death comes his way!
Enemy Details: Just the boss
Boss: Yis

Boss:
Boss Name: Netul
Tier: 6
Description:
The guardian is not an explicitly evil man. His job is to protect the holy city, protect the prophet, and enforce the word of god. Those who desire to cause trouble for the holy city are enemies that will be smited by the hand of god, but aside from people like that, he's a low intelligence brute that will mindlessly follow the prophet around.
Devil Fruit: N/A
Haki: N/A
Equipment:

  • The dankest of spiked warhammers

Strength: 7
Durability: 7
Speed: 3
Perception: 3
End:
Task Name: Problem Solved
Tier: 1
NPC or PC: PC
Location: Holy City
Crew, Team, or Personal: Personal
Description:
Due to no ability of his own, Qi manages to survive the onslaught after the misunderstandings with the priests. Survival means a little insight to exactly what he was looking for - the inner workings of the city.
Enemy Details: 0
Boss: No

Task Name: Library of Occulto
Tier: 1
NPC or PC: PC
Location: Library of Occulto
Crew, Team, or Personal: Personal
Description:
Having survived and cleared up the misunderstanding he had with the priests, Qi is given special permission to visit places outside of the normal allowed to outsiders, albeit under strict guard so that he doesn't get himself into any more trouble. The Library of Occulto is the first stop, and gives him free reign on the islands history to quench his thirst for information.
Enemy Details: 0
Boss: No

**Note: This isn't supposed to be a combat arc in the slightest. It's an adventure arc through and through.**

Everything looks good, just as a heads up you need to be within at least 1 tier of the task you're doing. So just make sure you're Tier 3 by the time you hit that T4 task, or lower the T4 task to T3

It didn't seem right for it to be the same tier as the task before it, even though the arc itself is a T3 arc. It's a fight between me and the finest that the island has to offer, so even though I wasn't going to really be fighting him in the traditional sense, it was just trying to make use of the level of the opponent (T6) and the difference between him and I. So I guess it doesn't really matter if it's T3 or T4, but T4 just means I gain more if I write to the best of my ability. Razz

Thank you!

Nah I totally get it logically it's just like...the rules state:

"Task may be a single Tier higher than your own unless you are in the company of someone ranked higher than you."

You know? So I can't approve it if you're not going to be T3 by the time you get to it, that's all. If you're doing the task with someone else then I could probably let it slide. Just going by the rules though unfortunately. Sorry about that.
