Many would be worried while in a situation like Annabelle's. She had gone alone to find and take out a group of hunters that were more like pirates when they were not in town. In town, they seemed the perfect gentleman. Most that recognized them would be kind to them as well for their stay so that they did not decide to change their mind on being civil while there. After they left, however, they became pure hunters. Man, woman, child, and animal alike were all free game outside of the limits of normal civilization. This had racked up a large bounty on them, and now that the Noble Marine's island was having issues with them she had decided to get rid of the problem for good.

The higher ups in the Marine's had given mixed signals on her decision. Half wanted to give her more support while the other half trusted her to be the sniper she had proven to be and take them out herself. Having been with the Marine's since she was sixteen, and using rifles for a little over half of the five years she had been with them, she was a good shot that could remain calm under the pressure. She may not have always gotten along with everyone, as what Noble could, but when it came down to business she was as good or better as everyone else up to the task.

The Eldest Daughter was about fifteen minutes out from the town before the first sign of the hunters was found. A small deer lay dead on the side of the grass with only the ear and left hoove missing. It was a waste, leaving the body, as it could have been used as food for a starving family. No, these people were monsters through and through, she would be glad to end them permanently.

Tracking the monsters would be simple after finding the deer. These guys did not cover their tracks whatsoever. Were they that egotistical? Did they not think others would come to find them? It was absurd to think that a group that held such a reputation had survived this long while being so careless! They had not walked in a line, in fact, they had stayed far enough apart for her to count the ten different markings on the ground of the group she was following. It was unclear as to whom each set of footprints belonged to, but she need not worry about that at the end of the day. Ten sets of footprints meant ten people she would have to take a tag or identifier for. That could be problematic, though she was sure they would have something she could pick up. A knife, a weapon, dog tags, anything that could be linked to this gang or crew, or whatever they called themselves nowadays.

About a half hour after researching the footprints she would begin hearing the voices ahead of her, the sound of men conversing among themselves. It most definitely was based off of the fresh prints she was following being in the same direction, as well as the sound of the rifle shot that would ring out before one man yelled 'I got that bird!' She had found them, and now it was time to make the hunters the hunted. Her cute looking rifle would be readied as she checked everything on it. She had two shots per reload so missing was not allowed at this point, and she had to manage to take out ten men before they spotted her. This was going to be tough.

Clearly Annabelle would not just be charging in. Rather than that she would start to climb one of the trees next to her and look to see who was leading who. The man described to her as Leeroy was not to be seen, he was likely far ahead or off doing something else, but the other nine were clearly visible. Five of them seemed to have low quality flintlock rifles. They would have one shot, which meant she only had to worry about a single shot from them. Given the lower quality clothing, they were likely newer recruits and had less experience with the rifle as well. Less experience did not mean less dangerous in this instance, however, as it only took one lucky shot to end the Noblewoman's life with the weapons at hand.

Up ahead there were three others with better gear and clothing, one of which seemed to be the shooter from before. These three also had flintlock rifles, which meant that the third man was not an immediate threat. Slowly bringing her rifle up, still in the branches of the tree, the marksman would bring up her sights and take aim at one of the two that she had loaded guns and decent clothing. A quiet, deep, breath would be taken before a shot would ring out over the area. The sound would be followed by a body hitting the ground. Luckily for the Marine, the initial panic was just enough to allow her a second shot, which would be taken to hit the guy that was standing next to the dead body. Two shots, two kills.

It was clear that her surprise attack had given her the advantage. It was an advantage she intended to keep now that two of the three more experienced looking men were already dead. Dropping down from the tree she was in, to keep them from following the trajectory of her bullets to find her, the woman would open up her gun as she began to run to another location. From above it would look like she was running in a big circle around them before she climbed another tree almost directly across from where she had been before. By this time she had already finished reloading her rifle, and upon looking down her sights she could see the seven men covering different areas of the forest from the direction she had fired from. It was likely they were not used to tracking someone faster than the normal runner. Five years in the Marines, plus her own natural speed, gave her an advantage. Not to mention her plastic casing was lightweight and did not slow her down in the least.

At this time the ninth person would show, still not the man that was in charge here based on the description given to her. This man had two revolvers in his hands, meaning he could be dangerous if she did not stay at longer ranges. Not wanting to ruin her chances by taking him out, as there were still an astounding number of longer ranged rifles against her, and thus her next two shots would hit the last of the three rifle holders that seemed more experienced before a shot to the heart of one of the lower quality geared groupies that were there. Four out of the nine lackeys were dead, though she would have to get proof of it once they all were, and now the one with the revolvers was looking right at her. "Shit, time to go."

The timing for her drop out of the branches could not be any later than when she did so. Mere moments after she let herself down from the tree the sound of gunfire could be heard before a few revolver shots took out the branches she had been on. Her heart skipped a beat at how close she had just come to death even as she began to run further into the trees while reloading her weapon for the second time. Her footsteps were not too loud as she hit the dirt, and watching for leaves was hard but possible as there were not too many dead leaves to crunch underneath her shoes. It wouldn't be long until she found a clearing of trees and ran out a bit. After making some good tracks she would backtrack a bit before climbing higher up into some nearby trees and making sure she could not be easily seen before the group charged past her and into the clearing to try and follow the tracks.

The guy with the revolvers would go out the furthest, and the four remaining low ranking members followed in a long line behind him. This left them scattered out just enough for the female Marine to silently climb down and deftly take a knife from the rearmost member of their group and wedge it hard into the back of his head where the neck and head met. The silent gurgle was not audible enough to anyone but the closest minion and by the time he was able to turn around she would let loose a shot that would strike the revolver-wielding man in the back of the head before she changed her aim to shoot the onlooker in the chest. Two more down, and just three of the low ranked crewmembers left before she needed to take down their boss. None of these three had their guns drawn or ready, all looking quite scared as well, so she would offer them another chance at living. "If you come with me peacefully you can be brought to Impel Down to be held for the duration necessary to clear you of your crimes. Surely it's better than dying like those here that were your leaders." None of the men would raise their weapons as she spoke, something she would do out of nature even as the words left her lips. Would they listen to her words and lay down their weapons? Or would they try to draw their rifles and end themselves in a fit of rage?

Rifle at the ready the woman would stare the three down until one made a sudden move for his gun. The other two were in the process of still deciding when Annabelle fired the shot that would kill the one that was making the aggressive move. His body flew back a bit as he fell to the ground, the other two going prone and throwing their rifles towards her. The woman would quickly put up her weapon and pick up both of theirs before a shrill, girly, laugh filled the clearing.

"HEE HEE HEE! Is someone hunting the hunters? AND some of my men are giving up?! For shame! I can not let this be!" The words from somewhere else would echo out just before the gunshot did the same. The single gunshot would kill the two hunters that had given up. Knowing that she needed to move immediately she would find her way back into the trees before hiding behind one that could cover her entirely. "Ah ha! Some intelligence it'll be nice to kill the person that killed my whole crew! What a day to hunt!"

Clearly, this guy was mad or at least way to into what he was doing. Annabelle had no intention of letting Leeroy kill her. She had plans for the future, and no one was going to get in the way of those plans! Counting to three internally, Annabelle would run from the tree she was hiding behind to go further into the forest of trees. A rifle shot would ring out and hit a tree close by where she had run through and made her worry for her safety now. This guy was good, but she knew she was better! Knowing she could not be seen at the moment, the young adult would set up one of the rifles she had confiscated and got some string out of her survival pack to loop it around the trigger to the flintlock rifle. All she had to do was pull on it to fire the gun, which is what she would use to give away Leeroy so she could get the final shot on him. The woman would climb up the tree after setting up the rifle, bring her own rifle and the final confiscated on with her. With both of those with her, she could afford a single missed shot at the man. She had three bullets without needing to reload while her opponent either had one or two shots depending on the weapon he was using.

A deep breath would be made as she aimed down her sights before she slowly tugged on the string. Ever so slowly she pulled until the sudden sound of the rifle going off rang out and fire out into the field. Within moments of this happening, she would see a muzzle flash from another rifle while looking down her sights. Not giving herself time for him to move Annabelle would aim where the head would be and let a single shot fly. The woman would wait to see if any movement happened, or any shots went off suddenly, and after a few minutes of silence, she would slowly move back down to the ground before walking through the forest to the spot where she had shot at Leeroy.

What she found there was quite the mess. The shot had hit him square in the face and blown the back of his head out against the trees and foliage behind him. The gun was just an iron weapon, similar to the others that were used here today, but had his insignia on it. Picking up the rifle as proof of his death was the best way to prove she had finished off the whole crew, and with that in hand, she would make her trek back to the barracks to report her mission completed. The life of a marksman was a hard one, and some day the amount of killing would likely come back to haunt her; even if just in her dreams.
