The path of Bazel wasn't the smoothest. He was still dealing with wounds sustained after his reemergence on Drum Island which brought him to Alabasta where him and his people could keep a low profile. They were somewhere in an oasis within the confines of the Alabasta kingdom where their captain was working out. He needed to blow off some steam solely because of the Drum Island incident and what better way to do that then by creating figures in the sand. The elegance in his movements were beautiful and elegant, his footwork caused the sand to shift as each passing second. It was clear Bazel was focused and in no mood for shenanigans on this gorgeous day in the heat. With him was Luther and Faust who wanted to relieve some stress also and decided to join their captain on his journey. Their ship was at the docks where the remainder of the Red Wing Pirates waited for the return of their leader. The legs of Bazel glowed with a dark metallic tent as he would make way through a fixed combat scenarios where he was essentially shadow fighting. A high kick followed by a twist of of his hips which allowed a mid section kick from his left leg as his right leg hit the ground.

The twisting of the sand from a distance was disrupted by what appeared to be some camel riding bandits who wanted to pick a fight with Bazel. Faust and Luther saw them first which would prompt Faust to engage them but was stopped by Luther's arm across his chest "Don't" said Luther as he watched on as the men dismounted and would all look at Bazel "What are you doing at this Oasis?" asked one of the men who wondered why the distortion of sand amount around Bazel placed him lower by roughly 7 meters. "Did you do this? You are messing with our passage way" It was then Bazel would take off and aim for the closes of the trio whom was on the left of Bazel. Once to him Bazel would spin four feet before contact landing a spinning kick to the sternum of the bandit which would send him flying backwards hitting his camel. The other two were stunned in horror and would begin to back up "I'll be done soon" said Bazel as he looked at the large body of water roughly 29 meters to his far right. He planned on getting an early workout there on his haki. It seemed these men here weren't up for the challenge. The men would board their camel and retreat. The one who was kicked was sporting blood dripping from his mouth. It seemed Bazel caused some internal breathing.

The sun was piercing their backs with heat as they trekked the sea of sand, their destination, Rainbase. Shadows outstretched ahead of them for many meters as they persistently walked in such a direction, Naesala had a this new fellow, Geryon acting as an escort. In his company was also 15 of his other crew members who were interested in going to Rainbase as well. The rest stayed back in Yuda to guard the ship while they were away. Aiding them on their journey were also three camels they had rented from Yuda to carry supplies they need for their journey across the sands. Wiping sweat from his forehead, Naesala sipped the warm water out his canteen. The climate of the desert had done well to deflate the naturally zealous and optimistic Naesala. Being a fishman environments like these weren't his favorites, he'd at least like a bit of humidity, but this heat, it was just raw dry heat.

As they pressed on, they would come to find they were walking upon a elongated sand dune or perhaps a shelf of sand that had higher elevation than most of the rest of the desert out in front of them. "It's hard to believe people live on this island by choice." He tried to spit, but nothing but gooey saliva came out indicating his was dehydrated. Unscrewing the cap of his canteen, he turned it upside down with his lips to the neck of the carrier to find only a swig of water had remained. "Fuck." He tossed the canteen into the sand, before reaching for his spare on his other hip. Being a fishman carrying extra water was vital. Practically drinking the whole thing in one gulp, he wiped his mouth and began to feel a bit better, though his spirits were low since he could see no signs of this Rainbase place in sight. "How much longer Geryon?" "More like are we even headed in the right direction." Naesala's attention snapped back to the doubtful tag along with a look of scorn on his face. "If you disrespect my guest you're disrespecting me. Do well not to forget it." The man nodded nervously and slowed his pace to allow him to stray to the back of the pack in shame.

I'll let you handle confrontation with Bean.

'Too hot, way too hot. But this is my fault, there are quicker ways to get to Rainbase. But whatever. What is done, is done.' Geryon would think to himself as he continued to walk. He had ignored the sly comment that Naesala's crew member would make, as Naesala would address it. Geryon would though answer the question Naesala would ask, albeit waiting a good few minutes to do so. As he needed to think about how long they had been traveling, and the pace they moved.

"Well, I'd say we've been walking for about four hours or so. So, with no break we will be there in two days. But since i'm old and can't walk all the time, make that three." Geryon wouldn't turn around to explain this as he kept his eyes pen on his surroundings, as the desert wasn't extremely hot it held other dangers. Those dangers being creatures of all kinds as well as other people, mainly bandits. "But, there is a spot not that far from where we are. Where we can take our first break. Nice refreshing lake." Geryon would add. But, a few seconds after saying that he would see heading there way. Though Geryon didn't get into a stance or anything he readied his body to react in anyway deemed fit, but he didn't need to. As their face showed they were fearful of something and trying to get away as soon as possible, and one of them seemed injured. Geryon wouldn't stop them or even stop walking, as he didn't need to. Whatever it was that was making them be like that, didn't faze him.

From where the group was they would probably make it to the destination in under a twenty minutes, if the keep their current pace. But, Geryon didn't plan on waiting that long. He need to dust his old bones off anyway, "We might have trouble, so let's move quickly."

And with that Geryon would pick up his pace; moving faster than what someone of his age would go at. He was going straight so Naesala and his crew could catch up with him if they were left behind. Not that much time would pass and Geryon would notice others and those must be the guys. He would slow his pace and not rush at them, as he didn't know what they were capable of. But if they were aware of their surrounding they probably already spotted him. He was in range for them to hear him when he spoke and would speak, unless they attacked or something like that and he had to react.

" 'Re you kids out here hurting people? "

Bazel wasn't for much effort today as he was just training as a means of regaining his focus and objective. Being on Alabasta meant Bazel was "Home" but the feeling wasn't the same. He wasn't strong enough to take his homeland away from the marines. But when that day would come the young free bird would definitely take full advantage of the chance to become the King of Alabasta. The sand wasn't the most ideal training area for someone like Bazel but the dry climate was doing its job for various reasons. It was almost as Bazel was absorbing the suns rays as the minor wounds and scratches around his body began to heal within seconds. Bazel wasn't healing previously due to lack of energy but some light training and food did the job and his stamina was now fully recovered. The crew could eventually set out and get back to work as they had a lot of work to do before they go and conquer the Grandline. As for Luther he had an important decision to make on his future. Given the fate of Leparo it was only assumed Bazel and Luther weren't on the greatest of terms but the two men understood one another. They would have to talk about this situation sooner or later.

"We have company..." said Luther under his breathe which prompted Faust to look in the direction of Luther. Bazel on the other hand was done for now as he was finally healing up. The scars all around his body were vanishing before the flash of an eye. Grabbing his cut Bazel would grab it and slide his arms through the ripped off sleeves revealing his crew jolly roger on the back of it. An old man was about 10 meters in front of Bazel and he asked in a playful tone if they were hurting anyone. A smile bestowed the face of Bazel as he noticed the others behind the elder close behind. "Not today no, Unless people try to harm me first." those words escaped the mouth of Bazel in a playful tone. His metallic black legs would slowly fade to his normal skin color reverting Bazel back to his natural skin tone. "What brings you to the desert. I can assume you are leading an adventure somewhere?"

Lake, the word never sounded so appealing to Naesala's ears. Not only could he go for a swim and cool down, but he could also fill up his canteens, er canteen. His mouth scrunched over to the side when he recollected he had tossed his other canteen in the sand a few meters back. Probably wasn't that smart of a move in retrospect, but what was done was done. "Sounds good to me." Naesala responded, a hint of optimism rode his tone as hope was beginning to wash over him. Three days was a while, but he knew it'd be worth it or at least it better be. His train of thought broken when the group of camel back bandits came into sight, Naesala and the group casually paced by them. They didn't look like they were doing too well, but it got Naesala a bit excited about what lied before them since they were headed where the Bandits had come from. As Geryon said "trouble" Naesala thought fun and quickly sped up to catch up tot he man's pace. He surely was more fit than he let on, it was just a few seconds ago he was using his age as a crutch.

There was more to him than he let on and Naesala liked that, in fact it made a smile come over his profile and made him forget about the feelings of fatigue he was previously experiencing. "God dammit another live wire, Naesala's going to take well to that guy." His crew members were a ways behind him jogging to try to keep up, but they were too beat down from the journey thus far to move as fast as Naesala and Geryon. Oddly enough Naesala found running in the desert better than walking. When walking his mind was only on the heat and when they'd be somewhere to take a break, but running got his blood flowing and got him excited, that was just physical activities in general.

Slowing as Geryon did, he too saw the people up ahead and his heart began to thump with excitement. Three spry looking young bucks and they surely weren't looking to beat the heat, they were getting heated up, or at least one of them was. Naesala had noticed the disturbed formation of the sand and it was evident that someone was doing something in their grains. Eyeing them all as Geryon questioned their purpose out here in the desert, Naesala really liked the look of the one wearing the vest. He looked like he had some bite to him. His words were a tease to Naesala and made him consider putting the boy's strength to the test right then and there, but he didn't want to get Geryon tangled in his mess. "We're headed somewhere out here, I forget." Naesala's eyes looked up in thought as he put a hand to his chin, before dismissing the thought less Geryon provide the answer for him. "Nonetheless, we came across a few bloodied up bandits and they tossed us a few beli to avenge them. You sure you fellas aren't out here hurting people?" Naesala looked down at them, not on them, but at them, just cause he was a tall guy. His focus trained on the youngster who was speaking, he caught a slight glimpse of the youth's leg tint changing, but wrote it off as his imagination or an odd shadow casting.

'Was his leg all black just now?' Geryon would think to himself. Though, he was probably seeing things due to the heat. From the get go Geryon could tell this young buck wasn't that much of a scrub, well maybe. Just looking at someone you can't always tell what kind of person they may be, can't ever judge a book by its cover. So, the only way to see this and also see if this guy would eventually be a problem during their break Geryon thought they should all play. Yes, play a simple little game that he used to play when he was younger.

"Oh, well Rainbase is the place to be during this time of year! Especially with the Casino opening backup in a week. But right now we want to go cool down a bit, as the journey still is long. "

Geryon hadn't stop moving and his initial distance, ten meters, from Bazel had diminished a bit. Continuing to walk for another good meter and a half right after his first sentence ended, before coming to a complete halt. He didn't want to get too close, his was still somewhat weary of them and them probably of him. But, as Geryon continued to talk he would begin to stretch, not like he was about to engage in any combat but because he was old. Old people needed to stretch deem arm and legs out from time to time. So, the first thing Geryon would do is thrust his right arm forward in the direction of Bazel; a second later he would grab above his elbow, with the opposite hand, and proceed to pull across his body from the shoulder. He wouldn't so quickly do the send motion as he did the first. But as he had done everything he kept his eyes forward and on Bazel, moving them if he moved.

Luther and Faust just looked on as Bazel talked to the rogue group of men traversing through the desert. "How strong is Bazel" asked Luther as he continued to look forward "Uhh... He's okay" said Faust as he also continued to look forward as a means of keeping an eye on Bazel. "What?" asked Luther with a snarky tone "I mean... you saw what he did on Drum Island. You know the answer to this question more than anyone" that caused Luther to lower his head and think for a moment. He hadn't exactly known all the details of what happened after Leparo, Kash and Bazel went into that building to attack whoever they were attacking. All he knew was that both were severely injured and Bazel wasn't. It kept lingering in his mind but that was a story for a different time.

The tall bearded long haired fellow would begin to speak and mention that they were told to avenge a group of men who passed by here. Bazel smirked instantly as he remembered the bandits who tried their luck just mere moments ago. "I'm not here to cause anyone harm. If you would like, in my possession I have roughly 5,000,000 beli its right there in that bag near my mates. If that's what you're after you can take that and leave." said Bazel who was trying to keep a low profile and avoid getting into any more situations that he didn't need to be in. Being in Alabasta wasn't the safest place for him considering he was already a wanted man here more than anywhere else with it being his homeland. As for the visually elder older man he would begin to speak but with the clear eyesight of Bazel he could see him moving closer with each step. Giving their distorted distance due to Bazel being in a deeper patch of sand opposed to the old man Bazel would move back, matching the steps of the old man so that he didn't actually gain any closer distance to Bazel. Whatever he had moved closer for was now void as Bazel kept the distance at ten meters. "Rainbase. Good place to be at this time of year. I have fond memories of going there, I robbed that place when I was like 16. Good times" joked Bazel as he was all smiles on the outside but internally he was gauging his potential foes movements. Those words escaped Bazel's mouth before the old man stopped speaking but the whole while the old man began to raise his arm which caused Bazel to watch his surroundings and the sand would begin to shift as a wave of energy shot back towards Bazel causing him to jump back two meters. His chain unraveling from his wrapped forearm, holding one end in his right hand. The silver chain would begin to change with a black tent as he sand began to subside. "I do not wish to do you any harm mates, Why are you attacking me" said Bazel.

Who Got the Juice?
Hands

Naesala chuckled as the youth tossed out a bribe. Naesala could really care less about the money. He was a man who lived for the excitement of battle, the money was only a bonus. Naesala had lied anyways, there was no money on the table. The only reason he had said that was so Geryon could catch onto Naesala's intentions and not be caught off guard should the hulking man jump the gun. "The money for beating you is merely a bonus, the real reward is the battle itself. You look like someone who knows about the thrill of combat." Naesala had high hopes for what was to come and it showed on his face as a warm smile towards the young man and his company. Though he wasn't a fan of two on ones in his favor, it didn't seem like it could be helped.

Only having slowed from his run while Geryon was running, Naesala too was walking just as Geryon did, neither of the two having ever mentioned stopping with their initial introduction. Nonetheless a ten meter gap was sustained as the youth back paced as the the duo walked casually forward, Geryon stretching to suddenly unleash an attack at the boy. Naesala didn't expect his guest to attempt to draw first blood, but one shouldn't judge a book by its cover. "I'm really starting to like you Geryon!" This would be uttered in synch with Geryon's attack and the target's backwards hop which would addressed with forward advancement on Naesala's behalf.

Given the target had hopped backwards a total of two meters as opposed to pacing back with subsequent steps, that would put him in a position where he lacked conventional means to shift his positioning. Simply put, he was air locked. Careful not to crash into Geryon or collide with his attack, Naesala's body would faintly crackle with weak shroud of black lightning, only for a moment though. Like you'd really have to be paying special attention to Naesala to notice it, if you weren't you wouldn't notice it. This black lightning cloak would be adopted with Naesala's forward movement that was timed with his opponents retreat. Jumping off of the ground in the form of a long ranged lunging jump, Naesala would sail above the ground at his maximum speed and then some from the powers of Jio-Ken and for the maximum range of the technique placing him right upon the kid, albeit slightly off to his right by a few, since Naesala was previously standing to the left of Geryon. His ebony mane flowing gracefully as he chased the boy, but coming to a rest when he arrived at his targeted destination.

His altitude would place him at a height where he could extend a right kick with precise timing that'd potentially collide with the back hopping youth's face with optimal damage should he not respond correctly. He'd be just a few inches away from touching down on the sand and regaining stable footing to respond in a way a typical human would to evade. His chain just beginning to unravel, but not yet having enough slack to allow the youth to use it to defend against Naesala's sporadic assault. Not only would bone breaking damage be dealt, broken nose and some face bruising, but the youth would be sent away tumbling through sand about 3m should Naesala make contact. The nature of the kick would allow for Naesala to follow up with a secondary assault easily if it was avoided by something as trivial as and similar to ducking. In the case the strike should sail over the youth's head, because he ducked, Naesala would immediately recall the leg near his body, then thrust it downwards toward's the right side of the the boy's neck right where the collar bone met. This could result in him getting shot downwards into the sand with a broken right collar bone should he get hit. He could have a more layered assault, but he figured he'd start out light to gauge the youth's prowess and because he was weary of the other two in his company.

Geryon misjudged the distance and wasn't able to connect, sadly. Making him think he should've done more than just that little push. Seconds after his attack had went out he began to grow in size, near instantly. No longer did he appear to be just a frail old man, but more around the massiveness of his current teammate, or well he assumed that much. As they both were testing the Kid. Despite that though Geryon wouldn't hold back any future just because of that, as he never holds back in fights. That shows nothing but only disrespect to your opponent, well Geryon believes that. And it wasn't like they wanted to kill the guy, nor did Geryon want him to kill them. But, the only real way to stretch your old bones is to just fight. There was no ill will to any of those two men.

He could feel his stored up qigong coursing through the entirety of his body, the power he once had in his youth adding him in the present. It felt extremely good and he missed this feeling. When he first put eyes on the Kid, Bazel, Geryon didn't look away at all. Not even focusing on the other two around even though that kind of thing is dangerous, not paying attention to all potential enemies, he wanted all his focus to be on the Kid.

"No questions. Let us all just play till we are tired and need to rest."

Geryon spoke quickly and still in his usual tone; at this time Naesala was already about to land his kick, well in Geryon's eyes. To him he wanted them all to play, fight, basically in a  free for all. Though, that free for all part probably wouldn't be clear unless he said it, but he didn't want to speak anymore. Too many words and what you say loses weight. And besides he had just taken in a large sum of air in a instant after speaking, and didn't want to let it go. As it wasn't his turn as Naesala had already quickly gotten up to the Kid, a while ago. The distance right now was just right but Geryon couldn't do anything to help or even attack really. So, he would resume moving toward them, quickly picking up his pace so that he would reach his optimal speed in a few strides. Not the fastest Old Man in the world but the amount of distance he would clear in a few seconds, with everyone in their current position still, would be reasonable. This was simply to get in range though and he had already prepped a way to get out danger if the Kid had something nasty in his arsenal; or maybe if Naesala had some nasty aoe as well. If the attack from Naesala land or didn't land Geryon would quickly and with all the force he could muster swing his arm outward horizontality directly in front of him; in a similar manner one would swing a bladed or blunt weapon, albeit his hand being flat. The shockwave would be enough to cause tremendous bone shattering damage if it made contact with the human body.

OOC: The 1k for you guys started the last round

It wasn't everyday that Bazel was in Alabasta let alone engaged in a situation like this with the people who were trying to gauge his strength. That was all Bazel could really tell from the particular moves the men were using. They had shown restraint as if they wanted to see where Bazel was at on the skill chart in terms of ability and power. This entire debacle started off on a peaceful note. Even if it was doomed from the get go given the hindsight of the aforementioned verbal exchange this still made for a fun day for Bazel. The speed at which everything was happening was rapid. By the time the the stout individual had lunged at Bazel it was clear what was about to happen. "shit" is the only word that popped into his mind after he realized how fast of a person he was. The face of Bazel began to turn black just before the kick made contact with Bazel which would send him flying backwards some meters roughly 10 meters. It was at this time that the move laced by the elderly man would come into play which would angle towards the downwards ascending Naesala. Since Naesala was 6 feet removed from the ground and the compressed blade was placed at 4 feet Naesala was coming down blind.

As for Bazel he was placed at 2 and a half feet from the ground before he slid back within the sand landing 6 meters from his initial spot of contact with Naesala placing him 7 meters from his original location post his first counter and 21 meters from his attacker the elderly old man who was now not so small. The bloodied face face Bazel would begin to stand up from the ground face turning from black to his normal skin pigment. He stood up near instantly even though he was in pain. "Shit that hurt" said Bazel as his unraveled chain swung in his hand. His free hand was covering his nose which was hurting pretty bad.

Who Got the Juice?
Hands

Contrary to what the youth had thought would happen or wanted to happen, as stated, he'd only be sent 3m away when Naesala made contact with his face. Noticing the change in tint, Naesala recalled a similar technique being administered by his adoptive father back in his youth on Fishman Island. "Haki?" He thought to himself during Geryon's monologue that would call Naesala to turn to observe Geryon. He was curious as to what he could do and would do to the youth only to see he had launched an attack at Naesala. "What?" Bringing his arms together in front of him to shield his body, Naesala would simultaneously manipulate the fibers of his mane to shield all portions of his body that were directed towards the direction of the attack. As he did so, his hair would also harden itself to the levels of steel. Colliding with the wave of wind pressure, Naesala was sent a ways back, roughly 5m. Rolling and tumbling through the sand for a bit, he took a moment to just lay there in silence. Maybe someone would sneak attack him, he didn't know, but just in case his hair was still hardened tot he levels of steel and was resting on his back. With his front against the sand that meant he was protected from majority of assaults. "He used Haki . . . That's something I hadn't seen in such a long time." He's adoptive father tried to teach him Haki, but as a child he could never grasp the concept. He also never found himself needing more of an upper-hand over his foes, so he eventually just blew the whole idea of Haki off. But now, after all these years, nearly a century, it had resurfaced.

He didn't think much about how Geryon had just attacked him, he'd pay him back in due time, he was just thinking about Haki and a bit about his adoptive father. "I wonder if it's not too late." Pushing himself up with his hands then onto his ass, he'd sit and delve deeper, trying to remember what it was he was told as a little kid. "Busoshoku Haki. An armour of tremendous power, it takes vast strength to break it. It can enhance your attacks, but more importantly. This ability allows you to strike blows upon those whom have consumed logia fruits. You have to tap into your life force to use it, so don't over due it or use it when you're already beaten up." Geryon and the kid they were fighting would be in front of him, so if he was attacked he'd be aware, for now he was just concentrating on the swelling energy he was harnessing or at least thought he was harnessing in his right arm.

Given he was proficient in using Life Return the application wasn't too foreign to him, so he felt he'd grasp the concept in time. "Geryon that wasn't nice of you. You know I'm going to have to get payback right?" Carefully he'd stand, not sure how much damage his leg had sustained from the attack, but it seemed like his hair had reduced the damage to just giving him a bruise. It still hurt when he put weight on it, but he'd be able to manage, especially since he figured he'd just gotten a grasp on the concept of the Haki he was focusing on. His right arm adopting the armament as he clenched his fist it'd only be evident on his hand that he was trying to utilizing the form of haki since his arm was covered. "Hm, I'll have to work on that in my spare time." He stopped focusing on harnessing and awakening the mysterious power and figured his focus was better pit on the battle.
