OOC: Cipher you haven't purchased a ship of your own and you cannot just randomly spawn one and sail into a topic aboard it. You group was supplied five ships of which you could have started this topic on. The only ship being in your possession being the freebie row boat everyone is given, that is the only ship you can possibly be referencing as your "family ship". For that reason I am simply clarifying that the vessel you are aboard is a Tier 0 Row Boat.

New round will only consist of the marine NPC post, so Marine PCs start posting after this. Official timer begins at 9 p.m. Pacific Time, 2 hours after this post.

The Marines were holding their formation in front of the mouth to the Grandline. They're sails were pulled, so they didn't catch any forlorn breezes that could happen to sweep through though the air seemed unnervingly still today. All cannons of the ships in formation were loaded and ready to be fired and Sanson's trigger finger was itching. This was a new sensation to him. He had been in command of operations before, but this was huge and never had he had so much weight on his shoulders and questioned his own commands before he gave them. "Should I deploy them now?" He sat in his Captain's chair that was on the deck of the second plateau of the ship near the ship's wheel where the navigator stood idly. His foot was nervously rapping on the wooden boards while he had a single hand pressed lightly against his lips, his expression very stern as his eyes were directed at the floor in thought. "Errrm . . . Rear Admiral?" The Navigator called out to him and snatched him out his trail of anxious thoughts. His head quickly looking up at the Navigator, he saw his hand was stretched out with a Den Den Mushi in it. "Get into gear Sanson, I'm not here to carry your weight!" He was confused as to why Rear Admiral Lilica was shouting at him at first, but upon looking up he saw why. Out beyond his ship the battle was already unfolding and he didn't remember giving out a single command. His body rose up out his chair in bewilderment as did his eyes spread wide open as his jaw went agape. While he was lost in thought, the pirates had launched the first attack and Rear Admiral Lilica took command in Sanson's mental absence.

The boom of the cannon wasn't heard till a while after it was fired, but with the scout keeping a ready eye out on the approaching vessels, he shouted out an alert perhaps a second after they were fired. "ENEMY CANNON FIRE COMING IN HOT!" This was the same scout aboard the Leviathan who alerted the formation of the enemy's presence. No word from Sanson when this information was supplied to the Marines, Lilica gave her own command. "You two first response vessels get a move on and we'll support you with cannon fire!" The voice barking over the transponder snail speakers was that of a woman instead of Sanson's burly voice. Both vessel's turning and dropping their sails to begin sailing forward, in the meantime Rear Admiral Lilica ordered for her personal Den Den Mushi to be given to her. It rang longer than it should have for this to be a combat situation and an operation as bgi as this, but Lilica chewed him out once Sanson got on the line.

Aboard the two vessels sent out as first response, Seishiro stood from his Captain's chair, took his Rear Admiral's coat off his shoulders, and tossed it in his seat. "Since Sanson ain't saying shit guess he can't get mad if I act on my own accord for a bit." Hopping down from this second plateau of his ship where the wheel was located, he safely landed then maneuvered through the platoon of Marines as he jogged briskly to the bow of his ship. Once there, steam would harmlessly rocket out of the pore that were on his legs and feet. It sounded like an angry teapot almost.

The burst of steam would accompany a jump he had performed and work to propel him towards one of the incoming cannon balls. Though they were pretty close to one another, only the one he would strike would be effected by his actions . Slipping his fingers in the loops of his brass knuckles, which were actually crafted out of steel, in his pockets, he withdrew his now armed hands and reeled back with his right before delivering a steam propelled punch at one of the two cannon balls. The steam had rocketed out of his right elbow with key timing to make the speed of his punch and force of his punch exaggerated to superhuman levels resulting in an obliterated iron cannon ball. Just wanting to get warmed up a bit and not looking to really be a savior, Seishiro would exude pressurized steam from his legs and feet once more to not only halt his forward momentum, but propel him back to where he had came from. His whole execution of the act was done seamlessly and in a safe manner. The cannon ball shattered into an uncountable amount of pieces and showered into the waters of the Redline many meters below, leaving him unharmed from any debris and safe from the unforgiving depths of the ocean. His brass knuckles were outfitted properly of course, being his signature weapon, so his hand suffered no damage from using such a tool. Landing safely on his own ship, no more steam pouring from his body, he'd watch how the Leviathan's crew would deal with the threat. "This should be good." All the while scouts aboard each of the ships would be keeping an eye on the enemy formation and the marine who manned the crow's nest on Seishiro's vessel would announce the presence of another enemy vessel. "Uuuhhhhh . . . there's a guy coming at us on a rowboat . . ." It could be said that he was leading the pirate's assault squadron given he was in front of them, but he was quickly being caught up to which would lead to his dinky being rocked and flipped over resulting in his death if not having his little dinky smashed to pieces. The large warship of the enemy was too high up for someone of his caliber to board through conventional means, but perhaps he had a trick up his sleeve. Regardless he was just floating there in the ocean, not even rowing his boat. Perhaps he was imagining he had a crew of men there operating it for him?

"Hand me a Spyglass." With Seishiro's order, not the marine in the crow's nest, but another Marine gave him what he asked for and he safely put the magnifier up to his eye. He paid no mind to the delirious man out in the waters, but went straight to looking at the forefront vessel of the enemy's formation and looked to see who they were up against. "Sakuma!? This is a Revolutionary attack!?" He lowered the spyglass, his thoughts racing. "Fuck! Ring up Jikuman . . . no put me on the speaker!" The Marine that was taking his commands nodded and ran to grab the appropriate transponder snail. Seishiro would sneak a few more peaks at the enemy vessel in the meantime.

During all this cannonball smashing would be when Sanson came to due to Rear Admiral Lilica's shouting. "My deepes-" "I don't care about your apologies! Just get your head in this battle before its rolling on the floor!" Before Sanson could even think of a response the transmission was disconnected and he swallowed her words. Nodding to himself he stood from his seat. "Get me on the speaker!" A Marine assistant to Sanson nodded and ran to carry out his command and while the Marine was moving, Seishiro would be heard throughout the speakers on every ship. "These aren't Pirates! This is a Revolutionary attack lead by Aquaflore of all people. We need to switch up the formation, a head on attack won't cut it against a Revolutionary raid!" Seishiro was the youngest of the three Rear Admiral's, but he was quite the strategist in actuality. "Rear Admiral Jikuman form a triangle formation with me and the Leviathan and Rear Admiral Lilica hold the mouth of the Grandline and give us cover fire. Let them lead the offense and we'll stay on the defense. I'm sure these bastards have a trick up their sleeve." Sanson and Lilica nodded soundly, both impressed with how Seishiro could be such a brash and hotheaded kid one moment, then flip the switch and start calling shots the next, but this is why he was brought along for this campaign. The higher ups knew he had a mind crafted for form strategies that could win them battles.

Sanson throwing his planned words out his mind, he would put the commander's stamp on Seishiro's command. "Follow through with his command, Rear Admiral Lilica will be taking my place as the rear guard and my vessel will be joining forming a triangle formation. Port side towards the enemy and all units are to fire once they enter range!" Sanson's voice being transmitted through the speakers it'd be a lot to take in, but any Marine present should be trained and ready for these things and on the fly commands. Lilica and Sanson safely performing the swap, the triangle formation would be held fifty meters from the mouth of the Grandline. The Leviathan would be centered with Rear Admiral Lilica's own ship which angled their cannons so that when fired they sail above friendly vessels to not cause any harm to allies. With the enemy's current pace, they'd enter the Marine's artillery range with their next course of actions, less they should slow down.

Derous wouldn't leave the Captain's quarters, they being in the back of the ship. He would be safe from any form of danger at this moment, if his vessel was the one to be attacked and the attack didn't travel all the way tot he back of the ship. Why? Because he was busy, super busy. His quarters were a mess, and he couldn't just leave it like that. Yes, they were about to be in or already in combat but he didn't care for that. He needed this place to be spick and span. Also, before he had made it back down to his quarts a Fishwoman, had spoken to him. He didn't know her exactly, personally, but her fame was something that caught his eye a while ago. So he didn't have any objections to her request.

Clarissa Syfer
A bullet through the ocean, her maximum speed achieved as she soared through the water as effortlessly as a bird glides with the breeze. The large fishwoman soared, distance meant nothing at this speed and soon enough her eyes would allow her to detect the underwater vessels. At roughly 100 meters her haki did not detect the auras due to the distance, she had cleared the distance before the canons thus at this point she had no idea areial fire had been released. With her fiswoman capabilities, the ocean did not hinder her vision. Not like it did to the human eyes, she wondered to herself if the ships she could see would be able to see her. From her position she could count three, though they were essentially "above" her due to her beeing deeper within the water. She could see the three ships in their straight formation, one after the other lined up, one in front two behind.

Clarissa bit her lip as she pondered, her haki remaining active, her eyes located upon the large ships, it was their sizes that gave them away. With the 100 meter distance, Clarissa on the other hand would more than likely look like a small fish, even more so an octopus, just floating in the water. Now was her decision, she could chose to confront the ships solo, yet unsure of their artillery and weaponry capability, this could prove to be a fruitless plan, not to mention if she were to perish and was unable to take down the three ships then the marine ships would not know of them, "This is why we need more of us" she uttered to herself. Then the water bubbled around her as she turned, her body pushing through the water at maximum speeds in an instant. She had decided.

Pushing through the water her haki would eventually allow her to detect the front ships, yet this was not her aim. Her speed would not halter, nor would her trajectory until she sensed the aura of the Commanding Rear Admiral, powerful in sense, it had to be him. Halting her movement, she would break the surface of the water and attatch her tentacles to the side, this allowed for her to easily walk up the side. "Commador Clarissa Syfer coming on board" she would shout loud enough for the boat to hear, allowing her presence to be known as she pulled herself over the side. "Rear Admiral Sanson, I have spotted three under water ships, roughly 800ish feet ahead they are in a single line formation about 20 to 30 meters ahead of the main fleet." Clarissa Syfer would state, offering her hand in a salute as she did so.

Asher hadn't done much for this war besides show up and to be honest he didn't even know if his comrades besides Clarissa and Derous knew he was here. Asher didn't care much for his comrades though, those being the Rear Admirals on the other ships. Asher thought they were overrated and undeserving of their rank but that was a story for another day. For now Asher sat in the same seat he was previously in awaiting for the return of Derous who would return in a flurry cleaning his office. "Are you expecting boss himself to show up? Why in such a rush" saying that in his usually monotone voice Asher would stand tapping the side of his short blade which was on his left hip "If you didn't hear, Aquaflore is here. Someone besides our fellow Rear Admirals that are deserving of the attention. Whoever I cross paths with first will be who I'll test." Asher would leave the room and began to make his way to the deck.

Seishiro was an ass. Linda determined this to be so when the rear admiral decided that he wasn’t going to take out the second cannonball as well. This left Linda as the only person prepared to deal with the looming threat since she had moved to the front of the ship when the attack had been announced. As Seishiro descended Linda would ascend with the help of Geppo. She doesn’t seek to outright destroy the cannonball like the rear admiral had but she does aim to change the trajectory so that its no longer a threat to Leviathan and if it explodes then even better. The shrapnel from the explosion would most definitely be harmless and most would find a home in the sea since it would explode a safe distance away - if it exploded at all.

Linda’s plan was very simple. She would traverse at max twenty meters with the assistance of geppo and deploy her rankyaku renge when she felt like the cannonball was within her fifteen meter range. She would then immediately geppo back to the ship. It would take some energy out of her but ensuring that Leviathan stayed afloat was worth the energy she would expend.

If the cannonball exploded then great. She had launched her attack at a safe enough distance that the shrapnel would do no harm to the members of Leviathan. If it didn’t that was fine as well since its course would at least be diverted and it would fall into the water in three pieces. Again Leviathan would be safe and that was what really mannered.

Either way Linda would land back on Leviathan. Sure she would land facing the result of her combo but that didn’t matter to her. Not when she felt like they could’ve avoided the cannonball altogether if the navigator had been ready. There had been enough time for the ship to shift course and Linda knew this. So she didn’t know how the navigator didn’t unless the navigator did and was just to rigid to bend the orders just a little bit so the members of the crew didn’t drown.

“Pay attention.”

She snapped. Her eyes are on the navigator. There’s a scowl on her face and she probably looks like she wants to say more to the moron steering the ship but she doesn’t. New orders are in and fulfilling them is more pressing than chewing the navigator out. Though she isn’t the captain - she doesn’t know where they are - of the ship nor a rear admiral she decides to take charge.

“You heard the man. Get into formation! And for the love of god don’t sink the ship by being stupid.”

She snaps. Her words are mainly directed at the navigator and he/she knows it. Having said her piece, Linda retakes her position at one of the cannons. She’s ready to fire it and she hopes the navigator is prepared to avoid fire this time around because she doesn’t know if she can repeat her earlier actions. And if the navigator was unable to react quickly enough then the chances of the ship sinking was pretty high in Linda’s opinion.

"Fuck with them!"
Commodore Ba'al had took a deep breath .Why? Because the pressure of being an officer were great, well it didn't really bother her much because conflict likes these she lifes for after all Rear Admiral Derous had retire to his quarters while Rear Admiral Asher was nowhere to be found. I guess you can say it was safe to say that Commodore Ba'al take temporary command while the two Rear Admiral absent.

In Commodore opinion their was no reason for niether man to be AWOL during a naval battle perhaps  they were scared shitness or maybe they had other business to handle, regardless the  circumstances Commodore Ba'al was awarded the Captain seat near the ship wheel on the second plateau of the marine vessel. Commodore Ba'al had place herself there moment after Rear Admiral Derous excused himself her train of thought was rather calm, and peaceful. The Rear Admiral Sanson was pretty much issuing the orders for other marine vessel to follow. Commodore Ba'al couldn't possibly mess this up because it wasn't her who was giving the commands she was just following them like the pawn she was or so she had wanted them to think. Commodore Ba'al was pondering on the enemy's ship next move when her train of though was interrupt by harsh barking over the Den Den Mushi Speakers System declaring "ENEMY CANNON FIRE COMING IN HOT!" Well.... they didn't really interrupt her train of though it was blasphemy cannon fired from the enemy's ship. Commodore Ba'al had thought to herself ,"Wait a mother fucking moment ENEMY CANNON FIRE COMING IN HOT?" Commodore Ba'al had scan the eyes of the marines on aboard the ship it would seem that they wasn't alarm because they accept the casualties or the cannons wasn't aim at them. Ba'al had guess it was the last option because no was asking for her orders to counter. Commodore Ba'al wasn't sure how her ship wasn't target first because her ship was at the front of the ship formation prior to pirates attempt to fire the cannons regardless the reason Ba'al had grin in approval.

Currently her ship position was the same why? Because Rear Admiral Sanson never gave them  the order to move other then adjust the ship position on the port side facing the enemy vessel which the cannons loaded, and ready to be fired. Unfortunately for Sakuma he was about to find the best defense is the best offense. While the Rear Admirals bicker over the Den Den Mushi Speakers System issuing orders the pirates vessels closed the distance between them. With the new formation Rear Admiral Sanson had place the fleet in Commodore Ba'al was just 20 meters in front of Rear Admiral Mary while Rear Admiral Sanson, and Rear Admiral Seishirō along with the ship Leviathan had form triangle formations just 50meters from mouth of the grandline.

Now here is the fun part since Sakuma fleet is considerably moving at a fast speed, and due the ships closing distance with a timely manner it would place Sakuma fleet the ones that the marines are aware of within range of the marines cannons. An due to Rear Admiral Sanson prior formation, and switch they marines port sides was facing Sakuma ships. So I bet you guess what happen! You guess correctly if you thought 20 cannons simultaneously fire at the enemy fleet. Each cannon aim was adjusted prior to the new formation switch so no friendly fire could happen.  So exactly 10 cannonballs about 32ibs made of iron aim at each ship reaching the maximum of 20 total. Each cannon ball was aim at either the masts of each ship  or along the ship upper decks.

Reaching for the Snail Den Den Mushi given to her by marine who stood to the left of her  the resounding sharp yelling of the sentence ,"Upon the orders of Rear Admiral Sanson, and Commodore Ba'al send them mother fuckers packing! Fire at will!"Yes of course the entire fleet heard the Commodore statement, and it was indeed true because as Rear Admiral Sanson order they would fire as soon as they came into range . By god they were surely in range according to the speed, and pace they were moving. Commodore Ba'al had grin in approval as she hand the Den Den Mushi back to her subordinate. They had release there barrage of cannons fire as soon as the formation was complete, and when they was in range of the artillery.

It’s obvious to anyone with a pair of eyes that Seishiro isn’t taking care of the second cannonball for whatever reason. With his display, the man could’ve easily handled both, but he didn’t and so that leaves the members of Leviathan with the responsibility to remove the threat. The most sensible way to avoid getting a massive hole in the ship was to move the ship either forward or back several meters by her estimate. Yet, the navigator had been unprepared for Seishiro to not handle the second cannonball and moving the ship out of harms way was out of the question.

The second option was aiming one of the cannons at the approaching danger, but she doubts they would be able to adjust in time. That and there was no guarantee that they would hit the cannonball with their own. Luckily for them, there was a third option and she made herself known the moment she noticed that the rear admiral wasn’t about to interfere.

Genève finds herself impressed with the speed Linda uses to respond to the threat. There’s no hesitation on the woman’s part and there doesn’t seem to be any fear either. The noble thinks she can detect a hint of irritation in her posture, but she can’t be sure cause the woman is in the air. She unsure what Linda intends to do, but she thinks the woman’s plan to be reckless if it required that she launch herself at the threat.

So, the noble isn’t entirely confident in Linda thus she’s pleasantly surprised when the woman does manage to ensure Leviathan stays in one piece. Upon securing the safety of their vessel, Linda lands back on the ship and allows her annoyance with the navigator to be known, shouts for everyone to get to work when orders come through, and scurries back to her position.

Oka doesn’t see the threat. She’s far too busy paying attention to her job. She does hear about the threat, but she doesn’t make a move to stop it or anything. What was she suppose to do about a cannonball? Exactly, absolutely nothing and she was more likely to become one with the cannonball than do anything about it. So, she sticks with staying put and that works out because apparently the threat is averted and another command comes through the den den mushi. So, yes, it’s a good thing that Oka focuses on her job since she was needed where she was at. She's there to follow orders after all. Not play hero.

Sakuma Aquaflore

"Who the fuck became Captain of my fleet while I was sleep?" Sakuma looked around and up to his sidekick the Jester expecting his lust had led him to prematurely ordering cannon fire despite just telling people to hold their fire. The Jester would return Sakuma's scowl with a point to the man who was sliding his bandana back up and giggle. Pulling his Den Den Mushi back to his mouth he'd speak. "Orders were to hold your fire. If you want to keep your toes I suggest you follow the orders of a side piece to the Captain of the ship you're on. Actually, I'd happily take a fe-" Sakuma was wafting his fingers towards himself, his palm facing upwards as to beckon for his own transponder snail. "We get the point, but what's done is done. Secondary ship, fire on my command. Everyone make sure you're cannons are loaded and ready to go." He cut off the Jester and hung up his Den Den Mushi that relayed his words to all ships in formation. The Secondary ship was the other vessel that was on the water.

"Sir it seems like Rear Admiral Seishiro, the Steam Esper, knocked a cannonball out the sky. Doesn't seem like a barricade of scrubs." This was one of Sakuma's underlings, a close assistant to the giant man who nodded to his words. "Nothing but a handful of rising stars, we still have the element of surprise." His grim dry voice cackled nastily as he watched the other cannonball get dropped, not having anything that magnified his vision he couldn't make out the details, but he saw the black dot seemingly disappear. "The underwater ships?" Sakuma raised a brow, his sword long ago withdrawn into its sheathe. "Oh, I almost forgot about them. No no. I called in an ally from the Grandline, hopefully they make it here in time." Sakuma's grin widened as he thought of how unprepared the Marines probably were for the attack he had planned on them. It was only a matter of time before it was launched. As of now he was just playing around.

Seeing as his ships had gotten pretty close, it triggered the enemies commander, in this case Rear Admiral, to issue their vessels to fire. A hail of iron ball balls being sent at Sakuma's own fleet, he figured it was time to stop fooling around, as his opposition wasn't. "Alright, return fire!" This was said over the Den Den Mushi speaker, so both on water vessels would fire at the Marine Fleet. Immediately after his words he'd toss the Den Den Mushi over to his assistant and draw his spear safely with his right hand from his back. Thrusting multiple times out into empty space like machine gun fire, Sakuma launched off a series of projectiles in sets of threes crafted out of the air from the force of his thrusts and the use of Power of Destruction. Angling his thrust at the sheet of incoming cannon balls majority of the cannon balls were shattered and turned into iron sprinkles. If left unchecked the few remaining cannon balls would hit the secondary ship and not completely total it, but it'd do some decent damage and knock out a couple men.

His ships returning fire shortly after his own defensive display, they'd be entering a range to where gunmen would be able to start shooting at enemy marines and even a bit after that, they'd be able to start breaching enemy ships with planks. Before that could even happen though with his three underwater ships in a linear formation, he'd command for them to surface. "Breach the surface and fire on the mouth of the Grandline." The plan had already been discussed with his artillerymen. Their job wasn't to really be shooting down enemy ships, but they needed to widened that entrance to the Grandline, so they'd fire a spray of cannon fire at it, sadly Rear Admiral Lilica would find herself in that vicinity and possible be pelted as well. Further when the underwater ships would surface, they'd do so right behind the Marine ships. This would turn the dimensions of the battle to where the Marine's would have to battle on two fronts as opposed to just one. The same went for those three ships, but at the same time they'd still have the advantage.

The amount of water displaced as they rose to the top of the ocean would cause the Marine ships to rock violently, possibly even capsize given the volume of Sakuma's own vessels. But that wasn't what he was really aiming for. "Alright now, give em hell." The stage set for the battle and planks being laid out for close combat fighters to get in the enemy's personal space, the outcome of the battle would be decided in a few moments. Sakuma himself would stay back on his vessel, all of the happenings of the battle field in front of him, so he could respond to what he needed. The Jester would unleash his bloodlust however and board the first enemy ship he saw or what he was closest to, the Leviathan. Hoisting himself over the lip of the crow's nest, he'd slide down, then when low enough hop down to the deck of the ship he was on. Charging with the rest of the crewmen, he'd take the the air, leaping upwards to get above the rest, but also leaping forward to get in front of the rest. Having left his sniper rifle behind int he Crow's Nest purposely, he was left with the two weapons he preferred. Rend and Sunder, two dagger like weapons that were wielded like short swords. His focus on the enemy crew the whole time he charged them, as he landed in a clear space close to the bow of their ship, but obviously on the deck, he'd draw his daggers and cut at the closest Marine. Luckily the woman who had neutralized one of the cannonballs have returned to her position or the slain Marine could have been her, but it didn't really matter.

Sakuma would smirk as he'd watch the Jester lead the assault on the Marine forefront vessel, but be anticipating their retailiation, because things couldn't sail smoothly for long. After all, most of his fleet was consisted of randoms and no-names, they had numbers and good equipment as far as ships went, but the Marines had quality. So what was truly better, quantity or quality?

Cipher saw that a fight had started to break out and tried his best to not get hit by any of the cannons (Oh man this is not good! I don't have anything to fight back with!) he thought to himself as one cannon ball hit the boat nearly knocking him over "HEY STOP SHOOTING AM JUST A CIVILIAN!!" he shouted knowing that his voice would be mixed in with the cannon fire, he looked around for a ship that he could get on and then take for his own. "Why don't Pirates check to see if anyone is near before shooting at them!" he asked himself aloud. Cipher couldn't handle getting hit anymore and made his way to a ship that was on his right side until his boat. He managed to get hold of one of the ships cannon windows.

Cipher made himself light enough to move to the side of the window and pushes it back so he could get in "Man that was close...good thing the explosion gave me a boost to the window." he said to himself aloud when he meant to keep it in his head. When he looked up he say Marines standing around him (Oh man I need a plane and fast!) he thought to himself as he stood up "Thank god you guys are here I thought a Pirate was going to kill me...I was on my way to see my friend in the Grand Line but then I was attacked." he told them as he dusted himself off.

Sturm at the base of the crows nest staring out into the sea with his gun cocked and loaded. With no obstruction he had clear sight of the battlefield. Things were getting started. The ships moved forward at a cautious pace. It seemed Sturm's little intentions had run their course. The cannons fired on the forward marine vessel. Of course Sturm anticipated them stopping the misfire. However this was a ploy to get a feel for the enemy. To see what they were capable of, the first cannon ball was quickly dispatched by a marine with a steam based ability it appeared. This was something Sturm was familiar with, considering his systems ran on the stuff. This was almost inspiring, if he were to make it alive out of this he would most definitely put time into improving his personal system. The second cannon ball was taken out by marine skills that would serve to knock the ball off its trajectory. Before it fell helplessly into the water. Looking down the iron sights of his weapon he chuckled once more. It was truly a god send they weren't in range yet cause she would have been met with complications. Of course this premature fire was not without it's repercussions. The man with the scar across on his face was not too happy. However, Sturm did not care of these trivial things. They were trying to win a war, sometimes measures needed to be taken to get a upper hand.

In response to the cannon fire the marine ships took a diamond formation at the mouth of the entrance into the grand-line. This was a text book defense. Sturm chuckled to himself because they did was huddle for the slaughter that moved towards them. Of course they retaliated after the ships moved into range. Roughly 350 meters out from the main fleet. Sturm was now at maximum range. A hail of cannon balls came from the forward vessel. There were Ten to be exact. Sturm's keen eye could pick up on this at the moment they left the cannons. This was due to the fact the Leviathan had already prepared to fire. The other marine vessels had not fired yet. Most likely waiting on some sort of order from the commanding officers. Of course Scar-face would not allow the cannon fire to land on the main vessel. Of course due to Sturm already aiming in the direction of the cannon fire.

“Each bullet is a song.”

These words were uttered as he moved the gun quickly and stabilized before shooting two different times. Each time he cocked the handle on the gun. Each cannon ball were met with dense rounds that would pierce the outer shell of the cannon ball causing them to fly off course. Sturm did not have to destroy them like others he just needed to alter their trajectory. They would fall harmless into the sea after his shells hit the side of them. This left him with six shots in the rifle. The rifle was smoking and now Sturm had his iron sights set on the crew of the forward marine vessel. The jester had already leaped off the crows nest and onto the first vessel. The submarines had surfaced and men began pouring onto the marine vessels. At the moment of aiming at the marine vessel everyone that ship became a target who stood in their path. The ship had moved forward 20 meters before the entire ship was in reach of his weapon. Those on the deck of the ship would be preoccupied with the mass rushing onto the ship. Of course the revolutionary ships would be firing forward into the Marine vessels. Things were getting heated up. Only the first vessel would be affected by this no doubt. However, this was going to turn into a close range battle extremely quickly. He did not move from his spot at the base of the crows nest at all.

Being a open ended vessel Sturm had taken careful aim at the female who was barked at. Clearly she was a prime target. Sturm shot with purpose, she was clearly just a bystander in all of this. However, she was a marine, and he did not discriminate. He only saw the uniform she wore. He squeezed the trigger once, the female marine (npc navigator) who stood near the helm of the marine vessel would be so caught up in the actions happening that she would not know what hit her. The bullet sped through the air, it's sound muffled by the sounds of cannon fire. The target was her head, quick and painless. After firing that shot he would aim in the direction of the ship. Five shots remained in the rifle. He was prepared should anyone leap into the air shots would be fired in rapid succession at them, aimed directly at their chest region. Bullets that could rip through bone, flesh and metal with no issue at all. Sturm prepared himself to orchestrate a wonderful piece. One that would be to die for.

The atmosphere at the mouth of the grand-line , intensified the closer the Rev / Pirate allied fleet grew closer. It wasn't as if this wasn't to be expected , factions with the sole purpose of preventing the goals of each other couldn't be cautioned without violence. His newest acquaintance Sturm willingly began things off as his trigger finger seemed to had been itching for awhile now , though Scar-face didn't approve of such authorization of his artillery just yet but his rage subsided as it was bound to happen by his orders , or not. It wasn't unusual that the marine's would change around their position to balance their disadvantaged forces sending a vessel forward as the others stacked into a diamond type formation. Growing in range , the air crackled with gun fire and cannon fire as the aroma of gun powder and blood lust balanced along the wind's breeze.

Jaden watched as Sturm used his rifle as they entered range for the marksmen of both factions , it was actually interesting to see the passion behind this craft. He could never get those things to cooperate with him , so he settled for the blade even though it went against his mother's wishes. He overheard Sturm say something before firing , "Each Bullet is a Song". Under his breath he responded with "Then let your rifle sing".

In the midst of confusion , Jester and other close combatants boarded the first marine vessel , conducting a war on it's decks. Even with Jaden being a swordsman he wasn't obligated to board it himself , it was a drag to tire himself out on the very first ship. He'd sit back and observe the tactics of both sides before springing into action. The waves would shift the boats a little , as a bullet missed Jaden's head about 1/2 foot away. He'd look at the hole in the corner of his eye while wearing his mask and scot down in his seat a bit. He wasn't going to allow himself to get struck down just yet it wasn't his time. He'd wait until the bigger players jumped into the fight before he insisted on acting. His main goal was to disable the ships in the confusion of the battle. Seeing as he was feeling tired after preparing he'd been thinking about the laziest way of getting across. And through his thought he came up with a few ideas that he written down before hand.

"In the event of this decisive battle it comes down to the brawns versus the brains. Allowing the pawns to act on the surface , what happens behind the curtains decides the outcome. 1.) Have all cannons destroy the sails or 2.) Set fire to the ships from inside."

He'd clinch that piece of paper in his pocket with his free-hand , as he'd grin underneath his mask. His mask also prevented others too tell his true intentions through facial expressions. Words can be altered in their meaning and tone which is why he felt at an advantage.

Reaper of the Revolution

The ship Cyrus was currently traveling on had been eerily quiet as they drifted through the depths. It was far from silent as pirates and revolutionaries alike prepared for battle, some arming themselves, others stacking cannon balls beside the guns that would reign death upon the marines. Even with all these sounds though, no one spoke unless it was absolutely vital. There was no idle chitchat to be heard and it deeply unnerved Cyrus, a man who basked in idle chit chat and the noises of human life. It was Sakuma's voice that broke the quiet and serious mood of the ship. His voice sounded urgent and as it reverberated across the decks of the three ships, sounds of war and cannon fire could be heard in the background. It dawned on Cyrus at that moment that all along there had been muffled explosions sounding above water. Instinctively his mind registered it as distant thunder, but that didn't make sense to hear underwater. No, while they had been moving into position, the battle for the Grandline had already begun.

Cyrus gripped Crow tighter, his knuckles turning white as orders were shouted around the ship and its sailors began to mobilize. The three ships, which had all been moving in a linear attack pattern began to turn so their left sides would be facing the mouth of Reverse Mountain and their right sides (with numerous cannons) would be facing the marine ships they were surfacing behind. Once turned, to Cyrus's amazement, the ships simply began to rise vertically. There was no change in sound from the depths of the ship, and it perplexed Cyrus just how something like this worked but now was neither the time or place. He noticed a group of pirates stacking and loading cannonballs on the right side of the ship and moved to help them, placing Crow in the holstered straps on the back of his leather duster.

As he stacked wrought iron cannonballs, the domes surrounding the ships broke the surface of the water, generating waves in their wakes. As Cyrus watched, the marine vessels guarding the mouth of the Grandline were set up in a diamond formation, their backs to their attackers. As the three ships fully surfaced, the domes surrounding them that had kept them safe during their journey simply receded back into the depths of the ship, giving the cannons free range to rain hell. You heard Scarface, open fire! Someone near the wheel of the ship, who Cyrus could only imagine must be the captain of the vessel, shouted out. So, without missing a beat, that's exactly what they did. Cannon fire erupted from all three ships nearly simultaneously, sending a volley of iron death towards the unsuspecting cluster of marine ships, who, at this moment, were most likely still trying to get their ships under control after the waves generated by the three revolutionary ships. If successful, the ships, particularly the farthest back of the diamond and the two sides would sustain heavy damage, most likely splintering or at least begin taking on water and amassing casualties.

Cyrus himself dropped to a crouch near the railing of his ship. The cannon fire had been deafening and even as he peaked out over the bannister of the ship to watch the chaos unfold, his ears were still ringing. The taste of gunpowder bombarded his nostrils, filling his mouth and making his teeth feel gritty. His eyes watered from the acrid air and his stomach churned. However, deep down, Cyrus couldn't help but notice a strong sense of excitement fill him as the battle raged on. He wasn't of much use at this distance, so he simply kept his head down and rolled more cannonballs to the cannon operator beside him who expertly continued loading and firing the massive gun. For a moment he paused and tapped the gold crow's head that acted as the namesake of his weapon and he smiled, Soon my friend, you will drink. Cyrus waited patiently for the time to come where they would begin boarding the enemy ships and fighting in close quarters like the other two Revolutionary ships had begun to do. He was eager to get his hands dirty with more than just residual gunpowder.

OOC: Gonne be a delay with NPC posting since we are short on NPCers. I apologize, but just go with the flow and we'll be done with this soon. Not counting the NPC dialogue the bolded words are attacks on enemy PCs, just so we can have some more order to this topic and people don't say they were lost, etc, etc. Also here is a diagram of the scenario and the NPC placement. Nothing is to scale size wise or distance wise. This is just to show NPC placement and ship placement along with the directions ship's are facing.

Timer starts at 12 Noon August 17th Pacific Western Time

Spoiler:

Ren Actimel:
Sanson being alerted of the underwater vessels, he'd inform his entire fleet and hopefully Seishiro's prodigious mind could draw up a proper response. "The enemy has three vessels underwater in a linear formation. They are in front of the Sakuma's on ships, so he may be trying to surface them right beneath us." This would be over the transponder that linked to all ships of course. The little snail that acted as a medium looking rather frazzled and tired as he was clutched in Sanson's hand yet again. "Rear Admiral Lilica's vessel should hold their fire until these hidden ship's surface. As soon as they come from underwater and they are in your immediate sights pelt them." Rear Admiral Lilica just shook her head and sighed. Everything was so chaotic and unorganized. It wasn't like a regular battle . . . it never was when dealign with Revolutionaries. They were snakes and always had something up their asses, they never fought a straight forward battle, but nor did the Marines.

Sanson's private Den Den Mushi rining, he'd answer to Lilica's voice. "We should introduce our trump card, things are getting really ugly." "Agreed, I'll call him up." Ending the transmission, Sanson would send his assistant to retrieve a certain someone who would be making their debut as a Shichibukai today. He was the newest addition to the roster and he also had something to prove. His skill in battle was affirmed and solid, but his true allegiance was something the Marines were still testing and they weren't too sure if he could be trusted, today they'd find out. In the confines of Sanson's hull, the Minkman would be sitting in wait.

Cautiously and a bit frightened, the assistant would walk into the depths of the marine ship, to go retrieve their ally. "Ummm, Sanson says-""I have to go." The assistant would stop talking as the Minkman casually put his Den Den Mushi in his pocket and stood up. "They need my help?" He loomed over the assistant, ducking his head so he wouldn't hit the ceiling of the room he was in. Nodding nervously, he let the Minkman lead the way in fear of turning his back to him. Each step the hulking grizzly tuck on the steps of the ship made the stairs cry out in agony under his unnatural weight. And like the Revolutionary vessels, when they surfaced, he too would surface on the deck of Sanson's ship. "Just in time, every ship without a Marine insignia on it is the target! You have free reign!" The ships in the Marine formation rocked violently and Sanson and most of his men were gripping onto the railing of the ship, while some slid along the drenched deck from not being prepared. Ren however just stood grounded with precise balance as he furrowed his brow and squinted his eyes a bit to prevent salt water from getting in them.

The ships Sakuma had under his command had practically made it rain for a few seconds when they came  behind the Marine ships. And just as they surfaced they fired their cannons, but they would also be met with cannon fire from Rear Admiral Lilica. Six shots at a single ship is the most they could amount to, six cannons being the most amount of artillery they had on a single side of their ship. This went for all the ships in Sanson's fleet, and together with Seishiro and the Leviathan, the triangle formation would unleash a bombardment upon their enemies just as the enemies did at the walls of the Grandline. Synchronized and practically at point blank range, even with their metallic base, a few of the iron cannon balls would be able to penetrate the Revolutionary vessels and earn some kills on their artillerymen. This cannon fire from the Marines would come from both sides, since they were fighting on two fronts. So all Revolutionary ships were at risk.

As this was going down Seishiro would be leaving his vessel and going straight to the man in charge, Sakuma. Propelling himself with steam out his legs and feet, he'd sail above the cannonball carnage and the storm of rushing pirates and revolutionaries. Sanson would move to the Leviathan to assist the rookies since they were being boarded and they were rookies. His giant axe in one hand, on the deck of their ship he'd hack away at the miscreants that tried to compromise the success of his campaign. Ren, the Shichibukai, would stay and efend Sanson's ship with Sanson's men, this meant Seishiro's ship was left unoccupied as far as an actual noteworthy target went. Seishiro's Marine's of course were still engaged int eh battle however and were very much on his vessel. The distant Rear Admiral Lilica would be having a bit of a harder time. The Revolutionaries had beat her to the punch as they knew when they would surface, but she did not. This meant those Revolutionary ships that were once underwater and surfaced had fired before her and lead to her ship being damaged even though her ship wasn't even the target. Large pieces of rock from the damage done on the Grandline's walls had found themselves slamming into her ship, not only crushing a few of her men but causing a decent amount of damage to her ship. Fuming with rage, she with her attribute for a few of Rokushiki's basic techniques, she'd use both Geppo and Soru to transport her above the Revolutionary ship in front of her own. This would happen to be the ship a certain cane totting swordsman was on as well. Not that Rear Admiral Lilica had spotted him specifically, just something that was worth noting. Withdrawing both of her twin pistols, she'd open fire as she was descending upon the vessel letting loose 5 shots. 2 from one pistol and three from the other. Oddly enough this caused 10 bodies to drop. The quality of her ammunition and weapons being great enough to rip through a whole body and go one to pierce the vitals of another.

She stood alone on this vessel, but she wasn't to be underestimated. Seven shots left and her decent prowess with the basics of Rokushiki at her disposal she possessed the aptitude to potential wipe this vessel out on her own. Spreading her small petite wings that were on her back, leaving her ready to fly at a moments notice, she also stretched her shoulders and back a bit with a slightly suggestive looking arching movement that really highlighted her chest. Just a bikini top covered her pretty impressive sized breast and being the type of women she was she'd try to use her sex appeal to her advantage. "I'm always looking for more playmates, if you surrender I promise you can come on my ship and we can celebrate our victory~" She'd wink and chuckle giddily despite being in a rather pissy mood, but she was used to putting up this facade int eh heat of battle. Even her Kenbunshoku Haki was activated giving her a bit of a boost in this seemingly disadvantageous scenario. Ready to react at a moment's notice her index fingers were already wrapped around the trigger of his pistols, just a bit more tension and her next shot would be fired off, but she had excellent control and not even being frightened or startled would result in her firing her pistols. She wasn't the type to have accidents as ditzy as she may seem to her enemies.

Seishiro would be busy boxing up the petty grunts on Sakuma's ship. Not only were his brass knuckles on, but he was using his Busoshoku Haki on the full length of both his arms and his brass knuckles enhancing the brunt of his blows. While it seemed his focus was on the countless amount of dummy no-names who approached him and got their teeth knocked in, he was actively scanning the crowd for Sakuma and once the man was spotted multiple meters ahead of Seishiro he'd smirk. One final jab would send a pirate or revolutionary, didn't matter they were all trash, flying on the deck of Sakuma's ship nearly overboard. Immediately after Seishiro would tense up his whole body which resulted in a large cloud of burning hot steam being released from his body's pores. Awarding 2nd degree burns to the countless amount of idiots who were around him save for himself, this technique also worked to conceal his presence. Urgently following would be   a roundhouse kick that would release a Rankyaku wave over Sakuma's head. Assuming the man had observation haki activated he wouldn't go for a directly killing blow, but something that'd indirectly harm him, so he wouldn't be able to foresee his doom.

In the blink of an eye the blade would sail through the air making it's odd sounding laser like noise before cleaving into the base of the crow's nest where a certain poetic sniper was standing. This sniper having just put a whole through the head of young girl who had only been a Marine for half a year, the Navigator. He'd find himself at risk of being bisected at the chest if he didn't respond properly, but anyways, this would cause the mast of Sakuma's ship to be severed and fall forward. Forward being towards Seishiro and Sakuma, causing it to crush them. Seishiro wouldn't be stupid of course and he'd use the cover of his steam cloud to conceal his movements to a degree. The cloud of hot water vapor being 15m in diameter, Seishiro would utilize Soru and Tekkai to transport him to the lip of Sakuma's ship careful to not collide with it or harm himself in any fashion. As he did so he'd raise his arms to guard himself, forming an "x" shape in front of him. His arms being Haki and Tekkai enhanced, he'd easily bowl through the masses of peons that were in his pathway, causing bone breaking damage that a little nappy headed afro man would be in the way of. He had some weird mask on and was standing by for something just watching the fighting, but now he'd be forced into some action whether he was ready or not.

The giant mast of Sakuma's ship falling forward the old man would be at risk of getting crushed and his ship wouldn't be able to sail any longer. Though the length of the mast was great it wouldn't reach the Leviathan or anything like that, it'd solely effect Sakuma's own ship.
