1 Hoshikita Cross [Done] on Sat Jul 09, 2016 2:35 pm

Name: Hoshikita Cross
Alias/Epithet: Faded Star
Race: Long Leg Tribe
Gender: Male
Age: 29
Tier: 2
Mode: Hard

Occupation: Martial Artist
Affiliation: Marine

General Appearance: Hoshikita is a man of lean fram with an agile build and sharp features. He is much taller than the average human due to his heritage as a long leg tribesman, although his torso and arms are of only average size. For a marine, Hoshikita is rather unkempt and leaves his hair to grow shaggy and his beard to grow almost unsightly at times. He is blonde with a darkened complexion, and he can often be seen with a cigarette in his mouth. In terms of dress, Hoshikita is also rather lax as well. He has multiple trademarks in his wardrobe that include a pair of wooden sandals, a pair of black fingerless gloves, two steel cross earrings, and most importantly a floral Hawaiian shirt. He has a variety of shirts that he changes from, but he tends most often towards a dark pink one in particular. In regards to his marine wear, he has cut off the regulation trousers into shorts, and he wears his coat or vest over his hawaiian shirt and only dons his cap when preparing for battle or conducting business with his superiors.
Height: 10'7" (Leg Length: 6'9")
Weight: 250 lb
Crew Tattoo Placement: Left Shoulder

Personality: Hoshikita is incredibly relaxed as far as people, and especially marines, go. While on duty, he rarely takes action unless he is ordered to, or if he feels particularly motivated about the task at hand. These mannerisms translate into how he carries himself, and Hoshikita seems to sway along on his lengthy legs in a lazy saunter that strangely resembles willow leaves in the breeze. His general tone is a soft and lazy one with a hint of a reluctant and tired wisdom hiding behind the raspy tenor of his voice. Hoshikita’s favorite topics of discussion are poetry and philosophy, but he is a naturally curious person and also enjoys learning about new things from others. He can often be found relaxing in obscure and secluded places musing to himself in his free time, or discussing amateur philosophy with his fellow marines. He tends to avoid work when he can, usually leaving things to the other marines and allowing himself what small pleasures are available to him. When his comrades might be off fighting a desperate battle, Hoshikita would be up in a tree somewhere partaking of the local fruit and wondering what sort of weather they’ll be having tomorrow. His laziness and tendency to only focus on what is immediately in front of him has gotten him into trouble on numerous occasion, but he still strives to be a proud marine and follow his own path at the same time.

Despite Hoshikita’s somewhat lackadaisical attitude, he can be incredibly tenacious when he decides to take things seriously. His ability to see things through to the end and his never say die attitude have seen him through hard times on many occasions. He is clever and resourceful in his thinking, and generally prefers to use a combination of wit and brawn rather than overwhelming force to solve his problems. He likes to avoid combat when possible, but because of his occupation and the nature of those he is tasked to apprehend, this is not always feasible. When such things become inevitable, Hoshikita uses his long and powerful legs as weapons, attacking with punishing kicks and flurries of acrobatics. He prefers to dance around his opponents with artful dodges before closing in for a strike, then quickly prance out of harm’s way once again. This tactic of “fading in and out” during his battles as well as in everyday life is the main reasoning behind Hoshikita’s epithet of Faded Star.

History: Born of a Long Leg tribesman and a human mother, Hoshikita Cross underwent a rather uneventful childhood in his home town of Loguetown. His father, Barry Cross, had left his homeland in the grand line some years before his birth and emigrated to the East Blue where he worked as a carpenter before marrying Hoshikita’s mother. His mother, Chiyo Sakata, had worked at her father’s tavern as a barmaid where she had met Barry and fell for his unique foreign charm. Several years later, after Barry had constructed a modest home on the outskirts of town, Chiyo gave birth to a rather long legged baby boy. That long legged boy was dubbed Hoshikita Cross, and he was graced with a happy home and a comfortable lifestyle. He himself never went hungry, and his parents seemed to truly love one another. He might have received some taunts for his long leg heritage, but the majority of them were in jest and he never felt openly discriminated against. Truly, if there were anything out of the ordinary about Hoshikita’s childhood, it would be how incredibly ordinary it truly was.

In his teenage years, Hoshikita had begun to form into the person he is today, and his mannerisms and personality seemed to mellow out. His father, despite his occupation of carpentry, still thought it necessary to teach his son how to properly exercise his uniquely lengthy limbs to defend himself. Hoshikita wasn’t entirely opposed to it, and merely saw it as valuable time spent with his father where they could share their cultural heritage, rather than an actual means of self defence. When not helping his father with his work or his mother with the housework, Hoshikita would go around climbing up to unique places in town with his friends or trying to flirt with the local girls.

That continued on for several years into his twenties, and it seemed like this point in his life would never end. Hoshikita was completely unsure of which direction he wanted to take. He wasn’t particularly interested in following in his father’s footsteps as a carpenter, but there wasn’t anything else in Loguetown that he was particularly motivated towards either. It seemed to Hoshikita that there just wasn’t enough in this tiny town to satisfy him, and when he watched the pirate and marine ships heading out from the dock to the grand line he imagined what wonders lay out there in the world. There were times in his life when he thought of living out a life of piracy and experiencing the freedom of the open seas, but when he imagined that, he could also imagine the disappointment of his parents. Thinking of that, but still longing for the experience of seeing the world, Hoshikita enlisted in the marines at the age of twenty five. Ready to see the world, make his family proud, and maybe get inspiration for a few poems, he had finally opened the new chapter in his life.

Despite his lackadaisical mannerisms, and his rather consistent slacking off, Hoshikita was promoted to Lieutenant after a year of service due to certain outstanding actions, such as assisting in defending his stationed base, recapturing the pirate Monty Bell, and going above the call of duty during the fish man attacks. Unfortunately, just as his career was truly hitting its stride, he received word that his father had become bedridden due to a terrible illness. His mother requested he come home for a few weeks while she nursed him back to health, so that he might help provide for the family. Hoshikita couldn't deny his mother this request, and left for Loguetown immediately. As he worked as a carpenter during his time there, a few weeks unfortunately turned into a few years. So much time passed and his father's condition grew worse and worse. Eventually the elderly man could hold on no longer, and he passed away. Hoshikita and his mother Chiyo mourned for their loss, but they took solace in the fact that Barry was no longer suffering. Chiyo assured her son that she would be fine and able to provide for herself now, and Hoshikita set off to return to the Marines.

Tier One is the only Tier open for application. Could you also include how long your legs are in your app. Beyond those things your application is ready for approval.

Ignore the Tier one comment since you are Revamping, but I still will need leg length.
