Drum Island
Taka, Treachery, Eye Scope

The day to fully commit to the raid wasn't yet upon Ondori and his crew, so he was going to utilize the length of this day to get into some mischief. Perhaps the Gold Leopards which Ondori's crew traveled to the Grandline with didn't face this problem, but for Ondori his crew was low on supplies. Straight from the calm waters of the South blue, to the slightly rougher ones in teh East Blue, Ondori and his men went straight into the Grandline from there. It was a miracle that they made now that he thought about it for they were on their last few days of rations after already cutting their daily eating and drinking portions. No matter. Being a responsible captain since his men had trusted him with their lives, Ondori would go forth and bring them back the provisions they needed to make their term on Drum Island be as successful as possible. After all no one could fight on an empty stomach.

By his lonesome he debarked his vessel clad in his usual garments, but with a insulating black cloak over top. Some of his men were in no shape to assist him and he didn't blame them, so he didn't have a problem with going out on his own today. With only his two blades and his Eye Scope to keep him company, Ondori ventured away from the shore into the forestry that functioned as the outskirts of a nearby town.

As his footsteps crunched the snow underneath his feet, he could feel the warmth of the town drawing closer and closer with each fleeting minute into his travel. Of course this wasn't literal, but Ondori liked to believe he could feel the heat from the roaring hearth in a toasty tavern to keep his mind off the cold he was feeling now. After about fifteen minutes he'd find the thicket of snow burdened trees thinning until they were no more and only a field of white was in between him and the town that was but a dark dot in Ondori's eyes. A few more minutes of walking and he finally entered the town and took no time entering the first tavern he found and sitting as close as humanely possible to the fire without harming himself. A bar maid offered him a thick quilt which he shamelessly accepted despite knowing he'd be stealing from these people sometime later this day. Just taking time to warm up he also ordered a drink, lemonade, which they surprisingly had though it was extremely bitter. In addition he partially filled his stomach. Not enough food to weigh him down and cause indigestion should he partake in physically demanding activities, but enough that he wouldn't feel hungry. After he ate and quenched his thirst he participated in some tavern talk and it was through this petty banter that he heard about the lick he was about to hit.

"You here about the famine that that town up North is going through?" One man said to another who nodded with a disheartened expression. "Aye. We almost suffered the same fate, but luckily we salvaged enough crops this harvest. Its not much, but with offerings from other towns the caravan being sent out should be able to hold them off for a while." From there another man spoke his piece. "That's true, but I don't see the point of sending them food that we could be eating and need when it's not even enough to completely save them. It's futile, we're just suffering more to postpone what's bound to happen." One man shook his head in disapproval. "You shouldn't say that. Perhaps the time we buy them will be of some use. Who knows the King may send them some help. As far fetched as it sounds, it's always a possibility." A few scoffs cut the atmosphere. "Bullshit. In all my years of living that King hasn't done shit for this town, so why would he randomly help out that one? He only cares about himself . . . hell he's not even a King. Rumor has it he hasn't married and just wears the title of King because he likes it. Silly bastard."

Ondori had heard enough. Well what they were saying was interesting and he did like a nice serving with gossip with his meals, but he needed to learn more about this care package caravan being sent out and less about the irresponsible monarch of the island. Standing out the chair he was sitting in he paid his tab and left the tavern. Back out in the cold he cursed himself for growing such a liking to the heat of the fire. "Where the hell am I going to find this caravan? Probably one of the gates of the town. They said it'd be headed North, so I should check the North gate." His train of thought and plan of action seemed solid to him, so he'd carry out with actions that would carry him to the northern gate. To his satisfaction there was a caravan there with two horses reigned to it standing idle ready to depart. Ondori wasn't within the immediate vicinity of the caravan, but he stood posted on the corner that the gates were located near. He'd stand there pretending to mind his business while he watched the rest of the caravan be loaded up by people who were supposedly guards. "There aren't even that many guards, this'll be easier than I thought."

Once nearly all the boxes were loaded on the caravan Ondori would casually make his way near the gate as if he were planning the exit the town through the gate. Just as he got near the horses, Ondori would quickly move behind one of them to a position in between the two horses reigns. Climbing up in the driver's seat he commanded the horses to take off through the gates. He had noticed the guards notice him as he was walking to the gates, so he suspected they would know he took the caravan. "Hey you! Halt!" Ondori paid them no heed of course, nor did the horses as they ran off towards the seemingly endless volume of snow before them. "Mount up! Someone stole the caravan!" Ondori would be directing the horses to the right where the shore he was docked near was. Looking off the side of the caravan behind him since nothing was in the horses pathway, Ondori could see black dots riding on the sheet of snow. "Horsemen." Riding as far as he could before the horsemen got within 20 meters of him the forest that was the only thing between him and the shore was in sight.

Stopping the horses, Ondori immediately jumped off the seat he sat on into the snowy field and maneuvered around the horses to end up safely on the outside of the caravan. Gripping the cursed blade Treachery, his hands and blade were hidden in the depth of the cloak. As the horsemen drew near, spears drawn and prepared to strike Ondori, he would utilize his Shadow Step skill. Vanishing from the spot he was previously in, the horsemen froze in their place, confused until Ondori began to cut down their men. Coupled with his Invisible Sword technique to increase the range of his slashes, Ondori would rampage through their ranks unleashing his blood lust onto them. Not even their horses were safe and a bloody scene was left behind. Limbs of horses and men alike littered the pure white snow leaving only five horsemen in their initial squadron standing. Standing beyond them were numerous other horse mounted men who looked on astonished and disgusted. "No need to falter now. Either fight me or start hauling ass."

Unscathed even after taking out fifteen men already, fifteen new guards stepped forward replacing them. A special level of grit was about them however that separated them from the previous felled sentinels. With 10 meters between them Ondori stood at the edge of the body littered area. "Damn, I was kind of hoping you guys would retreat. I ain't got much space to back peddle." Done talking as soon as the horsemen readied their weapons, Ondori readied his blade and before they could make the first move he'd steal the opportunity. Slashing vertically, it was as if he tore the fabric of the realm itself, but what it did was create a vacuum in front of Ondori. Moving out the way of the vacuum that drew in volumes of snow and the horse mounted men alike.

The horses desperately paced backwards trying to pull against the vacuum. As the caravan guard forces drew closer to the tear in the universe, Ondori would slash his through it horizontally. This would create a myriad of tiny air cutter and release a powerful gale of wind that shot outwards the direction the horsemen were trying to pulling away in. The horsemen in the forefront of the formation found themselves being shredded and taking an innumerable amount of lacerations. Horses and humans alike slumping and falling to the ground, in the midst of chaos Ondori closed in the distance on the unit of calvary as they were recomposing themselves. Jumping up to be level with one of the horsemen from the pile of corpses Ondori slashed outwards horizontally and cut the man across his chest. Slumping onto his horse, the steed began to panic and buck to and fro. Ondori spaced himself from the horse as did other riders. Barely taking a moment to catch his breath, he'd continue the battle. Spears being thrust at him, Ondori back stepped multiple times leaving the spears to be stabbed into the snowy terrain. Parrying a few of the lances stabbed at him, Ondori ducked a final stab from a horsemen before stepping in to the man's space and releasing a stab of his own. Digging into his chest cavity he pulled the man off his horse and mounted it himself. Attempting to ride the horse away from the collective of spearmen, he was immediately pursued. With their lances they had the range to reach him, so he found himself pitting his focus opposite the direction he was traveling. One hand on the reigns of the horse, the other held his sword and fended off the assault of the spearmen until two of them pulled up on his right and left side. Sliding along the horse's body to its underbelly gripping into the saddle of the mare with his fingernails, he dodged the simultaneous spear thrust. Releasing his grip he dropped into the snow and quickly stood himself up, but a horsemen rode close to him and kicked him over before another followed up and stabbed him in his left shoulder on his way down to the ground. Pinning him down with his spear another horseman approached him at his feet.

"You gave us a nice run for our money thief. Sucks you couldn't use your talents for the good of Drum island inste-." His sword in his right hand, though he was pinned down he still bared his fangs towards the militia. Swinging his blade horizontally he released a thin air wave at the head of the horseman who was speaking which he answered by raising his hand at an angle that'd block the air wave. Leather bracers on his forearm he successfully dispelled the first airwave, but Ondori had released another which was aimed at his midriff. Busy addressing the first air wave, he took the second wave to the gut and would also accomplish freeing himself from his bind in the process. How this happened was because with his initial sword swing his sword would also cut through the wooden shaft of the spear that was lodged in his shoulder.

Blood spilling out Ondori's and this other man's fresh wound, neither faltered. The man charged Ondori while the swordsman turned around and retreated. Three normal horsemen guards still remained on duty, albeit one now had no weapon and one of these was approaching Ondori from his front. Clutching harder on Treachery Ondori tapped into his reserves of bloodlust and made eye contact with the rider closing in. With this act alone, Ondori placed a gruesome image in the riders mind which would torment him and cause a lapse in his attention. Raising his hand to his head as if he had a headache, Ondori exploited the moment and stayed low the cut all four of his horses legs off in one stroke. This caused the rider to fall off the legless horse into the ground ultimately breaking his collarbone and his arm.

Three enemies remained and Ondori was beginning to feel fatigue from physical activity and blood loss. Turning around he saw the horsemen were tending to who appeared to be their captain however. His wound was leaking all over the snow and he was probably in the same boat as Ondori. "Let the blood loss claim him, getting the Captain back and reserving his life is a bigger priority." The other horseman agreed and all three of them departed leaving Ondori out in the snow field alone.

Looking around, his vision becoming cloudy he could make out rough shapes of things and felt he had identified the one that was the caravan, but his mind couldn't conjure up focus. Walking in the general direction of the caravan he'd soon enough lose consciousness, but swore before he passed out he saw a mound of black that he assumed was a group of people. Coming to on the ARAKHNE he'd come to find out it was members of his crew who had scooped him up and also retrieved the caravan he had stole. At the end of the day though it almost costed him his life, he accomplished what he set out to. "Funny how I set out to save y'all's lives, but I ended up getting saved." He was in his room already bandaged up, his bleeding had long ago come to a halt thanks to the efforts of his crew and some of the supplies from the caravan that was seized. "At the end of the day at least we got what we needed though, so I can't really complain."
