1 Wally West [Marine] on Sun Jun 19, 2016 8:12 pm

Name: Wally West
Alias/Epithet: The Yellow Flash
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Mode: Hard

Description of Modes:

Easy Mode: Easy Mode is for people who have no major interest in their characters dying. You have access to private topics, maims turn into severe bruising that inhibit the use of the damaged body part for the rest of the thread, what would normally cause deaths turn into your character simply being knocked out. However, everything isn't good for you, this also means that your character will never be able to pass Tier 3.

  • Exceptions to these Rules: Should you attack someone on Hard Mode with killing, crippling, injuring, or maiming intent OOC or IC, you lose your Easy Mode protection and may have the same done to you. May it be killed, maimed, injured, etc as long it is the same intention.

  • You cannot make private travel threads, but they can still be No Kill due to your Easy Mode Protection.

  • Also, there are also events which your character will be at risk if you choose to enter them.

  • Lastly your character can be vulnerable to death if you will it.

Hard Mode: This is for people willing to take more of a risk for more of a reward. In this mode you can reach up to T6, and there are other things available to you, like world positions. However, your character is always death enabled. A hard mode person is not allowed to make a "No Kill" thread or a Private thread. Their whole existence is open. Hard Mode is to promote a more realistic One Piece Roleplay-verse and while people are eligible to die while on Hard Mode, our aim here is not to make this a place where people meaninglessly kill. Hard Mode is introduced to promote interactive RP where people value there allies and teammates. Hard Mode is for an experience closer to Canon.

  • Exceptions to these Rules: If you are situated on your island, or your ship, you are permitted to make a private thread between you and crew members. HOWEVER, you cannot make a private travel thread on your ship, you are still at risk of invasion in those threads.

  • Protection for Private Topics on your Ship can last for a duration of 15 IC Post, afterwards the topic is Open whether you are on the ship, setting sail, etc.

Changing Modes: Changing modes is also possible if you start out a character, and realize the mode you chose does not really suit you. Unfortunately, to prevent people making the first choice without thought, or using easy mode to their advantage getting as high as they can with Easy Mode, and jumping to Hard Mode, there are penalties to both sides changing modes.

  • Easy Mode Penalties: If you're on Easy Mode, and you change to hard mode, you are bumped down an entire tier, and will have to build your way back up. Anything spent on something you cannot have anymore because of tier problems, (You were T3 with a T3 only sword, and you've been knocked down to T2), will be refunded.
  • Hard Mode Penalties: If you choose to jump to Easy Mode, you get everything taken from you that is Hard Mode only, and a tier down.

Finally, there is only one difficulty change someone can go through ever. There will be no chance to buy/trade/sell/casino a difficulty change if you decide you want to change back, ever. So make all of your choices carefully.

Occupation: Weapon Specialist[Primary], Musician[Secondary]
Affiliation: Marine
Tier: 1

General Appearance:

By most standards, Wally is most certainly an attractive young man. With his messy in a cute way hair, his freckles and dimples, along with blue eyes girls just go crazy over, his face always seems to be what most notice most, especially the fact that he usually has a smile on his face. Whether it's a massive grin, or a playful little smirk, Wally's way of showing the world that nothing phases him is with a smile. His teeth contain virtually no flaws, being extremely white and straight. This is probably why Wally is so confident flashing his smiles!

His body, conditioned through years of training, is obviously no slouch in the looks department either! Wally's well toned abs are strong enough to the point where he has an 8-pack, but perhaps the strongest looking part of his body go to his legs; All the running he does really makes them look in tip top shape! Wally has no clothing preferences, and pretty much just wears whatever he can, although if its possible, he does try and wear what's regarded as "cool."
Height: 5"8
Weight: 145 pounds
Crew Tattoo Placement: Left Shoulder

Personality: A carefree, energetic individual, Wally is a boy who loves almost everyone and everything..except evil!  Above all, Wally believes himself to be a hero of justice, and will NOT tolerate anyone aligned with pirates(at least, in most situations. He understands theirs no absolutes in life.), nor will he turn a blind eye to marines he believes break the code and twist the spirit of what it truly means to be a marine. Wally takes great pride in being amongst the government's ranks, and expects others to do so as well. He sincerely believes that the government is trying its best to do good for the world, despite a few bad apples that tarnish the marine's public image.

However, despite such a strong adherance to the law, Wally isn't the type of person to let his job get in the way of how he acts. He's very friendly with most people, and even has a tendency to act flirtatious around girls he finds beautiful(as long as they aren't too young, of course! He isn't some creep!). Generally, he's a pleasant dude to be around unless you're a criminal, although he has a bit of a tendency to run into things headfirst with little to no planning, which earned him the nickname The Yellow Flash. However, he's been trying to curb that daredevil side of his.

Wally doesn't really have any religious affiliation, but is always open to one if he feels like it provides sufficient evidence a God exists. Wally never really liked the thought of some man in the sky controlling everyone's fate, and prefers to stick with the idea that everyone on Earth has earned their accomplishments instead of it being "destiny". He DOES believe in luck, however, but regards it as simply another skill that some are just better than others in. Truly, he believes that only you can create good or bad "luck".

As a musician, he obviously has a very strong passion for music, especially the guitar. Wally has also been told that he has a great singing voice, although he himself isn't so sure about that since he hasn't really focused on it all that much. Practicing his music is one of his favorite leisure time activities, and if you're one of the people that don't enjoy listening to music, then it's safe to say Wally wouldn't enjoy being around you.

As a good marine, he has an aversion to just mindlessly killing people on the spot, as he strongly believes in second chances and offering people a chance to reform, which even shows in the fact that he prefers hand to hand combat over weaponry. However, even though he can forgive, it does not mean that he's a naive person. Possessing a keen insight on reading people's emotions, Wally is usually pretty good at telling a liar from someone who genuinely wants to reform. Thus, if a threat is big enough and the criminal truly shows no sign of reform, he won't have any problem with killing them if it means keeping an island, or even the world safe.

Likes: Puns, Justice, Running, Music
Dislikes: Criminals, Yarning, Meditation, Chores

History: Wally's early life was remarkably worry free; he wasn't kidnapped, his parents weren't killed, and he didn't have some sort of assassin upbringing, which really just gave him a chance to be a normal kid. His mom was the owner of a local flower shop, while his father was a high ranking member of the marines, who couldn't be around the family all the time due to his job, still showed his love from overseas. Plus, Wally was doing outstanding in his school life, where he found out he just loved instruments one day when he just tried them out in music class.

He was amazing at it, and before he found out his true calling was the marines, Wally actually planned on becoming a marine. But, hearing the awesome and inspiring stories about his father's adventures, plus his hatred of evil, he found himself being attracted to the marine force more and more. By the age of sixteen, he'd completely given up on the idea of becoming a musician, joining a boot camp for future marines in order to get him into the proper physical health. Despite the drill sergeant being friends with Wally's father, Wally was as overworked as the rest of the students, but he managed to pass the academy at the age of eighteen, granting him entrance into the marines.

Of course, both of his parents were both overjoyed that he was following in his father's footsteps, and fully supported his career path. Wally himself was proud to be apart of a prestigious force meant to uphold the stability of the world, and took his job with the utmost of importance. Now just turning nineteen and still living with his parents, Wally does his hardest to make the world a better place, one pirate at a time. He one day hopes to be an inspiration to all marines, and lead his own battalion to glory.
