The End:

Get in, get Jeff, get out. No talking, no messing around, and absolutely no fighting. They were, after all, to remain inconspicuous and one dead guard or random sound could throw the entire place into lock down. None of them wanted to fight their way in or out of the tower, especially not out since Jeff would be in tow and watching him whilst also mowing down foes would be difficult. Take into account that Jeff’s jailer was definitely in the tower somewhere and said to be pretty strong, it was best if they got out before anyone knew they were there.

Get in, get Jeff, get out. That had been the plan and it had started off smoothly. They got in without anyone noticing them, scaling the tower to where the damsel in distress, Jeff, was being held. It took a bit of whispering to ensure the man that they were there to rescue him, but only a couple seconds to stress how quiet he needed to be. No reason was given as to why, but since Jeff had been here a couple days, it should’ve been pretty obvious why he needed to practice absolute silence during their descent.

So, how did they end up having to fight their way out of the tower at the mid point? Well, perhaps we should rewind time to what had occurred before they entered the tower.

Earlier That Day

Three days was enough time to come to terms with the lives one stole… right? If not, it was really too bad since that was all they got to deal with any trauma that they may have acquired after the battle in the forest. Of course, those three days weren’t wasted on pity parties. Oh no, they couldn’t possibly rescue Jeff without knowing a couple key elements and they could only get those keys by surveying the tower. The reconnaissance portion was pretty hush hush for the group didn’t want to alert anyone in and around the tower of their presence. It was, after all, preferred if the guards remained lax in their security since that would make it easier to infiltrate the tower.

It had been boring, but Honora couldn’t complain too much since at least they weren’t planning on storming the tower and mowing down anyone that got in their way. Stealth was how this would play out and the plan wasn’t anything convoluted. It was a simple get in, get Jeff, and get out. There was no way to misinterpret that plan and very few ways for them to mess it up. It should go smoothly, she wanted it to go smoothly for she wasn’t ready to leave another trail of bodies in their wake.

So, after three days of reconnaissance and planning, the group gathered under the cloak of darkness to complete one mission in mind, save Jeff.

Get in, get Jeff, get out. Oh how simple and lovely that sounded, too bad the fates had decided that things wouldn’t be that simple for the group.

Loki

The group of misfits had spent the last three days drinking their sorrows away or sulking about. Their first real fight with each other could have gone better. Loki was slowly coming to terms with the facts of life and wasn't hit quite as hard as the others. Loki really had no idea just how emotionally scarred the girls where after it, but he could only assume there was some turmoil in their hearts. That being said they group gave themselves ample time to recover from the casualties of war. Three whole days they relaxed, the only action they attempted to take during that time were brief recon missions to scout the tower. Even then the only real info they acquired was a rough estimate of troop numbers and when they liked to rotate the day and night and night guard. Perhaps he was being too cynical... There were many things they learned from these small actions and they learned enough to deduce a plan for a full blown stealth mission. This would be the first ever full stealth mission Loki had ever attempted and he was doing so with a group that for the most part he trusted... He just wasn't certain how much he trusted them yet.

In betwixt their little spy missions Loki spent his spare time casually drinking and getting to know the locals some more. Every now and again he would catch a glimpse of that flowing green hair but for the most part he enjoyed his time meeting new people. Those three days of alcohol, rest and more alcohol flew by fairly quickly as the time for them to start their stealth mission was quickly approaching. The group, now plus one with their new archer friend Diana, was making their way out of the town and out towards the forest, eyes set on the shadowy outline the tower left in the distance. In the little bit of time they spent surveying they tower they became a little more familiar with the forest recognizing a few landmarks and making one or two of their own in case they lost track of where they were. Their mission was to sneak into the tower, or in this case they planned on going up the side of tower, grab the their target and escort him out as quickly and as quietly as possible. If everything went according to plan they would be in and out with Jeff and nobody would be any the wiser until the next guy went to go check up on him. The plan was fresh in his mind and he was eager to follow the details to the letter... But things rarely ever go as planned.

Sneak into the tower, convince Jeff that they were there to rescue him, and sneak out of the tower without anyone knowing they were there. A simple enough plan for the group to follow and one that required them to be as inconspicuous as possible. This, of course, wasn’t something that posed a challenge to the huntress for reasons she believed to be obvious. She was, after all, a hunter trained to be out of sight and out of mind, though admittedly she wasn’t always super stealthy. There was just some situations where it was just impossible, but luckily this was not one of those situations.

Scaling the tower would be simple enough for Diana to accomplish and she had even offered to be the first to go. Much to her excitement, they group obliged her and she quickly made her way up the side of the tower. It was fun, for the most part and over a little too quickly. She found herself climbing through the window leading to where they assumed Jeff was. By the loud thump on the floor and the groan that followed, she came to the conclusion that she had startled the man.

Remembering that the mission required absolute silence, she quickly pressed a finger to her lips. To Jeff’s credit, he listened. She wandered to one of the corners of the room, waiting patiently for the rest of her group to climb through the window. Once they were in here, the first part of their super simple plan would be complete. Unluckily for them, the rest of the mission wouldn’t go so smoothly for none had taken into account Diana’s complete and utter inability to not touch random things that caught her eye.

Elizabeth

Two days of almost absolutely no memory besides drinking a ton and getting sick was how Elizabeth spent her time recuperating. She would spend hours in the nearest bar slowly drinking, until she couldn't maintain consciousness anymore. She would pass out not afraid of what would happen to her. Whatever happened to her, she believed she deserved it. After what she did to those men, the green haired cowgirl seemed to fall into a state of depression, which led to a massive increase in her alcohol consumption. However, she would attempt to maintain her composure every time Loki showed his face. The green haired woman couldn't have him seeing her any differently. She couldn't have the group know how awfully saddened she really was.

Although she had begun to heavily drink, Elizabeth had spent the last day getting sober enough for her to properly process words and somewhat walk straight. However, she did find herself with a pounding headache. Being a doctor, the cowgirl would try everything possible to help herself and make it seem as if she were close to normal. As she left her room at the inn that night, Elizabeth would give her most convincing smile. Purple eyes would look black in the darkness of night giving her an eery expression rather than a joyous one. Soon, the misfits would come upon a tower lit to the very top, which would make everything seem more cheery than just moments ago. However, it was only the beginning of a new world of darkness.

The group would quietly make their way upon the tower. Their objective would be to scale it, find Jeff, and get out without being noticed. The childish adult would have to remind herself constantly to remain as quiet as possible, after all with someone of Elizabeth's attention span this would be quite difficult. However, she seemed to be keeping it all together as she watched Diana disappear into a window. As the green haired woman stared, she insisted that she would not make her way up the tower without Honora ascending first. However, she didn't wish to be the last of the group leaving Loki to scale the tower last.

Elizabeth sure hoped this would all go as planned. She hoped this would all be over quickly and quietly with no problems. This cowgirl sure wasn't in a fighting kind of mood, unless it was a bar fight. Yeah, Elizabeth sure could go for a bar fight.

Honora.

Diana had been the first to scale the tower and Honora had to admit she was impressed by how quickly the girl got up to the window. Then again, the slightly older teenage girl had admitted to being a huntress, so that could simply be years of experience at work, but that didn’t make it any less impressive. She watched, in silence, as the archer disappeared through a window before she made her ascent up the tower - halberd in tow. She wasn’t as quick as Diana, but she wasn’t slow either and so, she was through the window in no time.

She was faced with the presence of a slightly terrified man as she climbed through the window with just a hint of difficulty. For a flitting moment she wondered where Diana was, though a quick glance to her left answered that question. She shook her head slightly as she moved away from the window, settling herself on the stiff mattress with her halberd resting on her lap. She shot Jeff a questionable look. He shrugged in return and her attention shifted to the window. After all, there were two more people that would be joining them before the descent down the tower.

The next person to come through the door was Elizabeth, the woman she had seen sparingly throughout the pass three days. The events of the forest had definitely hit the oldest member of their group the hardest and Honora was slightly amazed she had decided to join them on their rescue mission. Sure, they planned on sneaking Jeff out, but there was a chance the plan would go south and she would have to kill again in order to ensure the safety of their package. She watched Elizabeth momentarily, making room on the bed so that she may sit down if she wished.

Lastly, Loki climbed through the window. She hadn’t seen much of him either, but he seemed to have coped the best amongst them. At least, she hadn’t seen signs of destructive behavior outside of his norm nor him moping about contemplating the value of life or something else to that effect. She was sort of envious of him, but no one would know that for she wouldn’t display behavior typical of a green-eyed monster nor would she say it aloud. It simply wasn’t in her nature.

With everyone now in the decent sized room that was Jeff’s prison, it was time to proceed with the final part of the plan. Get out. She stood up from the bed and walked over to the man, deciding to brief him on the plan. Before she could even stress absolute silence during their escape, a loud crash followed by a quick ‘oopsie’ had her whirling around to face Diana. Her eye twitched silently for she knew that everyone and their mother heard that.

“Are you serious?!”

She hissed, lowly, a slight tinge of irritation evident in her voice. She didn’t wait for Diana to apologize. No, she made her way to the window and looked down, taking note of the slightly increased activity on the ground. The rest of the guards including the jailer must be on their way to see what the noise was about and she gave them a solid minute before they busted down the door. She pinched the bridge of her nose as she turned to face the group.

“Window or door?”

Loki

Loki was standing below the tower, his gaze wandering up its stone walls time and time again. He was standing behind the rest of the group as he looked at the shadowy figure before him, the faint glow of fire peeking out from the tiny windows peppered around. Just as he thought there weren't too many windows that even faced the outside world, it was almost like a tiny castle. All it was missing was a moat filled with alligators... Or sharks? Sharks with freakin laser beams attached to their freakin heads. Yea that's what ever castle needed. Much to his own happiness this castle of coursed lacked such a feature making their Grand Theft Jeff much easier than it would've been with all that added security.

While his mind was off thinking crazy thoughts of just how much more difficult this could be the crew started their climb. Diana was the first to scale the stone wall. She wasted no effort either as she seamlessly made her way up the wall without a single second wasted looking for a foothold or other things cliff climbers look for when they climb things. This made Loki realize just how unprepared he was to climb the wall... In that case he would wait to climb up, so he could save himself some embarrassment of looking stupid. Thankfully, and not too surprising, the others struggled up the way in a similar fashion of how he imagined himself making him feel less silly about the fact. One by one they all scaled the wall until it was Loki's turn. Taking a deep breath he began his ascent... Slowly. Ok maybe that was an understatement. Loki proceeded up the wall at a snail's pace, gingerly testing out his foot and handhold before he trusted them with his life. In his head was screaming for dear life but he couldn't risk making a sound or else the mission would be at risk. After what seemed like ten years of climbing Loki finally reached the top, letting out a small sigh of relief as quietly as he could. He regained his composure rather quickly now that his feet were back on solid ground. Taking a moment to look at the room, he noticed the one door out, light seeping in from the candlelight beyond it. The door was no doubt locked so they would have to pick it or somehow get Jeff to climb down... Loki really didn't want to climb down either. Luckily enough if he was tricky enough he could probably slide the blade of his dagger between the lock and the fram allowing him to slide the door open and nobody would be any the wiser. His eyes shifted over to each of his companions and finally on Jeff before he finally turned towards the door and was getting ready to be a master locksmith when a sharp crash filled his ear and likely every ear within a few miles. With a dagger in hand and almost at the door his head dropped and he let out another sigh. He wasn't about to let his disappointment over take him as he quickly started to think of another plan. As long they were all in the room their was only one way the bandits could come from. Keeping his voice as light and quiet as possible he informed the team of his idea.

"If we all watch the door we can take them out as they come through. We'll have to rely on our resident marksmans until they get through. Oh and if you hear me yell the word Bananas cover your eyes... Don't ask why just do it. Or you'll probly wish you didn't have any ey... Nevermind you'll all be fine."

With that he kept backing up towards the back of the room, Jeff gathered behind them and Loki made sure he was out of Diana's and Elizabeth's way. There was a solid ten meters between them and the door giving them not a whole lot of fighting room but in this situation it was their best option as they could easily be swarmed if they went outside. At least this way they could take out the few that come check it out, then the ones that come to check on the guys who don't report back and so on until all hell breaks loose.

Diana Jaeger

Diana honestly didn’t mean to alert everyone to their escape attempt. It wasn’t like she knew the shelf she had been messing with was going to break any second. If she had, she probably would’ve still messed with the various items displayed on it, but at least she would’ve known and been prepared for it to suddenly come crashing down.

“Oopsie.”

She reflexively said, tapping her head out of habit before turning away from the now broken shelf. If looks could kill, Diana had a feeling that she would be dead for the dark-haired teen was glaring daggers at her. She immediately started to think of several different explanations that would go along with her apology - none of which was bound to satisfy the displeased Honora. Luckily for Diana, the teen’s anger was brief, she assumed it was anger, was short lived. Instead of launching into a tirade that, admittedly, Diana would ignore, Honora headed for the window.

Diana took this moment to move herself away from the shelf and closer to Elizabeth, flashing the green-haired woman a sheepish smile. Several seconds later, Honora was facing the group again. Her question was simple enough, one that gave the group two options of escape. They could either go back the way they had came with Jeff in tow, or head out the front door and hope they didn’t end up as corpses. Instinctively, Diana preferred going out the window since it would be faster, but she forgot to take into account the fact it took the group a good minute to get up here and the grounds were crawling with guards now.

So, she cast her vote for the window, scratching the corner of her mouth, though it became apparent that wouldn’t be an option. Not with Loki’s plan to mow down the bandits that tried to come through the door. It was disappointing that he didn’t just want to jump out the window, but she wasn’t going to protest. They didn’t really have time for that and so, she nodded her head in understanding.

Her bow was removed from her back and she took position a solid five meters from the door. An arrow was drawn and ready to fly towards the first unfortunate soul that came charging in.

Oh how unlucky they were to have gone against this band of misfits?

After watching Honora scale the tower, the cowgirl could definitely say she felt better about the journey. At least if she made a fool of herself, she could always point out the fact that none of them were ready for that task. Elizabeth would climb up the tower slowly. She would double check her footing and be very cautious about the endeavor. She wouldn't want to fall and cause any more problems for the group. They were there to save one and Elizabeth wanted to keep it that way. Soon enough, the green haired female had made it into the window with a bit of a roll. She would roll over once and land on her rear, however it was a bit quieter than she had expected such a landing to be. Quickly she would stand to her feet and her eyes would meet Honora. The small girl had already taken a seat upon the bed and left room. Of course, Elizabeth took this as an invitation and plopped herself down next to the dark haired princess.

After a little while of sitting in silence, the cowgirl was half tempted to check upon the poor guy, Loki. However before she could move, he made his way through the window. What a trip this was. Why did any of them believe climbing through a tower window would be easy? Well, Diana didn't count in that particular thought. As she thought about it, Elizabeth would wonder how hard it would be to descend the tower. Who knew? Maybe it would be easier to descend. Then again, what if they fell down. As the woman thought, Honora would rise from the bed. She would take note of Loki nearing the door and Honora walking towards Jeff. As purple eyes turned to Diana, they watched with a twinge of fear as the shelf crashed to the ground. Quickly the cowgirl would jump to her feet, purple eyes darted around the room to all of the faces and back to the smashed shelf. Honora was pissed, Loki seemed upset of some sort, Jeff simply looked wide eyed, and Diana seemed nervous. "Damn it," the pirate would whisper to herself.

With a noise that loud, everyone was bound to hear it within the vicinity of the tower. It was the middle of the night, pitch black darkness, and she doubted it would be let off as an accident. With a noise that loud, people would definitely come running and not he good kind. The cowgirl would slowly pull the rifle from her back, as the pictures seemed to slowly dance into her head. No. She wouldn't let them bother her. Honora would move to the window and Diana would move to Elizabeth's side. As the small huntress smiled at her, the green haired woman would attempt to return one with struggled success. Elizabeth may have answered Honora's question had Loki not simply taken charge. However, she would go with it. He was capable and smart. Teamwork was exactly what they needed now. So, Elizabeth would take her place next to Diana with a bit of space between. Her rifle would be loaded as she awaited anyone that burst through the door.

Honora didn’t bother whipping her halberd out and dropping down into an appropriate stance for two reasons. One, there really wasn’t enough space to be swinging her weapon around without injuring somebody and it would definitely prove more of a hindrance. And two, Elizabeth and Diana would be taking care of whomever came through the door, according to Loki’s plan. So, instead of wasting time and space by bringing her halberd to the front, she kept it on her back and proceeded to move further into the room - away from the door and window. It would’ve been nice to have something to hide behind just in case the bandits came with firearms of their own, but that really wasn’t an option unless she squeezed herself in-between the bed and the wall.

Besides, Jeff needed more than one human shield and the other two females were going to be too busy to take up that spot. So, she positioned herself in front of Jeff, just a little to his left. By time the bandits made it up to the room, everyone was in position and ready to proceed with the back up plan. She watched as Diana got down on one knee, giving Elizabeth shooting clearance and pretty much regulating everything above the chest to the green-haired woman.

If they wanted to, the two long ranged fighters could fire at whomever waltzed through that door at the same time, but it would best for them to alternate between who was shooting. It would, of course, save them bullets and that would be valuable for when they got out of the tower.

She expected Diana to handle the first guy, or Elizabeth to mow down the first five that came before temporarily handing shooting duty to Diana whilst she reloaded her rifle. Either one worked out since the primary goal was for the two to handle anyone coming through the door. However, she expected that they would eventually have to change tactics since there was simply no way they could stay in this room. The bandits couldn’t be that stupid... right? Anyways, they definitely needed to high tail it out the room before a certain jailer made his appearance. The room was simply too tight for effective close quarter combat and being trapped in it would definitely prove a problem.

Loki

Loki was impressed at how quickly the rag tag group followed his improvised orders. As he backed himself up and got ready Diana and Elizabeth took position in front weapons at the ready. The smartest plan would be to alternate fire between them so one could prepare ammunition while the other held the enemies at bay. Even smarter they could let Diana start the defensive assault as he bow would be silent and wouldn't alert the building immediately of an attacking threat. With those two no doubt figuring out how they were going to coordinate individually he noticed Honora take a position behind them and close to Jeff. She hadn't withdrew her halberd yet which to be honest wouldn't be all that effective in the tight space. At the most she could poke at people coming through the door to give more of a break for the shooters but it wasn't exactly a necessary part of their defense as the shooters could handle themselves.

Loki had both his daggers out as well as he positioned himself behind but slightly to the left of the too girls. If he needed too he could throw his daggers. A trick he learned in the past, the handles of his daggers had thin metal wires attached to tiny needle eyes on their base. The wire then attach to his own belt. The wire was only ten meters long so he would have to wait until somebody came a few steps into the room before they were in appropriate range. His throwing daggers were a secondary means of course and he would likely only use them that way in this scenario if both Diana and Elizabeth needed time to do something. Before that even if they got too crowded Loki had his fancy new flash dial. The group probably didn't know about it yet which is why he told them to shield their eyes if he yelled 'Bananas'. The dial would emit a blinding flash of light that would fill the room and maybe even part of the hallway but would lose effectiveness quickly and probably wouldn't blind anything outside of the room. Even then it was his 'ace in the hole' for the time being. Those sweet seconds of freedom as their enemies were blinded could be crucial.

Diana Jaeger

With the two short ranged fighters plus Jeff at the back of the room and the two long-ranged fighters at the front, the group was ready to proceed with the plan of mowing down the poor unfortunate souls that came running into the room. Diana was in front of Elizabeth, on one knee so that she wasn’t in the green-haired woman’s way. Her mind set had been changed to think of the humans about to burst through the door as nothing more than wild animals she needed to put down. It was perhaps a thought process that would scare some, but it removed the hesitation Diana normally would’ve had if she thought of them as humans from the equation.

The first hostile to make his presence known was taken down by the prepared huntress, the teen allowing the arrow to fly towards a vital organ. They were, after all, animals and she had always been taught to take them down in one shot - it was seen as cruel amongst her family to disable them. He went down and two others would follow. She quickly nocked another arrow and aimed, dropping one guy and exposing the other to a swift death via Elizabeth’s rifle. She braced herself for the loud sound as she nocked another arrow.

To her credit, she didn’t jump or cringe, though the ringing in her ears was uncomfortable. She didn’t fire off another arrow, she’d wait until Elizabeth had to reload before she took over sending the bandits to the land of the dead. Ten bandits later and the duo would be done. Diana would get up since it didn’t look like anyone else was going to making their way up the stairs. They’d probably engage them when the group got out of the tower or on their way down. Either way, the band of misfits had to leave the room.

Elizabeth

Elizabeth silently stared at the door with a look of complete stiffness and fear. Her mind twisted and turned as the cowgirl did everything in her power to keep her memories at bay. Why did she want to come? Why did she think this could possibly be easy and silent? Why did she think no violence could come of this? She shouldn't have come. No. She should have and she would accept her decision with full happiness. Had she not been here this could have been a lot more difficult for the three. Had she not been here she would have blamed herself for any casualties and/or injuries upon the trio. Elizabeth was not selfish. She would not wallow in her own sadness while the trio came on such a risky, unselfish task. The woman would take the moments she had left to clear her mind of any and all negative thoughts. Her body would become firm and sure as she stood.

The woman would take a quick glance around the room. Honora was with Jeff. Good. He would need the protection if something were to happen and it seemed Honora was best suited for the job at the moment. Couldn't have her swinging that beast or hers around. As far as Elizabeth was concerned, she was a smart girl. Loki took his place behind the long ranged duo prepping as if he were going to assume the role of backup should anything happen. Diana took her place kneeling in front of Elizabeth, which the woman would accept and nod to. Soon enough, the teen would let an arrow fly alerting Elizabeth.

Quickly, Elizabeth would hold her rifle up as she looked to the body on the floor and then back to the door. "Let it begin," the cowgirl would sigh as another arrow went flying and another man went down. However, behind him was yet another poor, unfortunate victim and with Diana not ready, a bullet would pierce flesh leaving a loud bang to ring throughout the tower. Straight through the neck was where it went. The man would cough and gag as he keeled on the floor. Purple eyes would stare in fear. How did she miss? She was aiming to kill not to make him suffer. Why did she move her target?! The man's eyed would roll into the back of his head and then he would drop dead with a pool of blood surrounding his corpse.

The bang had certainly alerted more men as another had decided t peek his head into the doorway. With a twinge of anger, Elizabeth would send a bullet straight through his eye. He wouldn't suffer. Thud. Another body dropped to the floor.  The green haired beauty would attempt to ignore it as she saw another head quickly peek around the corner of the doorway. Before she could take aim, his head would disappear. The woman would growl but she would be caught off guard. She watched as three men ran in a straight line into the room. With a quickness, Elizabeth would shoot sending one bullet through the skull of two but the other had switched course and was running straight for Honora with a dagger. The woman would gasp before turning her head in Honora's direction.

(16-3=13 bullets remaining. 2 bullets until reload.)

It seemed as if Diana and Elizabeth had agreed to take down an equal amount of bandits this evening. That or the fact that they each took down four so far was pure coincidence. To be fair, though, Elizabeth would’ve had five if not for one particular bandit switching courses. It was an awfully stupid decision on the bandits part for even if he managed to injure her, there was still three other people in the room he had to deal with and he didn’t stand a chance. Count the fact that Loki was prepared to slice and dice anyone that got pass their marksmen and she wasn’t worried about him. So, she only blinked in surprise at the bandit’s stupidity, otherwise she didn’t move a muscle though Jeff did back up a bit.

She spared him a glance from over her shoulder. She shook her head and sighed as she returned to facing the bandit who should be deceased right about now, courtesy of Loki. With another bandit downed by Diana, it seemed ten had been sent to wherever people went when they died. Honora would, once again, check to see what sort of commotion was going on below and much to her surprise, it seemed the other bandits had abandoned their post. Now, this definitely couldn’t be the case, they had them outnumbered, so she could only assume they had gathered at what the believed to be their only exit.

Since she didn’t see it as absolutely necessary that they left no one alive on their mission, Honora saw no reason to intentionally step into that trap. Besides, they had Jeff with them and to go through the door would certainly result in him being seriously injured or visiting death himself. Besides, why go through all that trouble when they had a clear path to the forest? All they had to do to get there was climb out the window and make a mad dash for the lining of trees - preferably before more bandits were sent to see what was taking their targets so long.

So, despite their difficulty getting up with the exception of Diana, the window was the best option.

“Elizabeth, Diana, keep watch over the door. We are going out the window.”

She looked over her shoulder for a second before adding.

“No reason to walk into a trap.”

With that, Honora made her climbed out the window and descended first. Feet would touch ground and she would move a couple feet away to give her group and Jeff some clearance. Her halberd was drawn, just in case. She expected either Jeff or Loki to follow her out, followed by the last male, Elizabeth, and then Diana. When everyone was out of the tower, it was time to make a mad dash for the trees and when they reached that, well, Honora thought they were scot-free. Unlucky for them a certain jailer saw a certain band of misfits running of with a certain prisoner and he wasn’t happy. So, naturally, he would give chase.

Loki

Loki stood silently, yet cautious, as Diana took down a few of the men who lazily walked into the room without checking out the situation. The soft 'thwap' of her bowstring reached his ears time and time again. He couldn't help himself from thinking that the sound was kind of calming. This relaxing sound was soon to be replaced by the blast of Elizabeth's rifle. The bang proceeded to bounce off all the ways and even without the echoing would be heard from quite a distance away. He watched as the green haired woman took down man after man, even two at once. It could have been three at once which would have been the most impressive thing he had seen in a long time but the third target was a little tricky... At least he probably thought he was, well that or really lucky. He wouldn't realize just how wrong he was until it was too late.

Loki had been waiting for something like this to happen. Both of his daggers were raised and ready to be thrown across the room. His first dagger flew from his left hand and low, not too far from Daina's head making contact with the runner's right hamstring. He stumbled briefly and dropped to one knee in a quick motion but Loki had anticipated this. His second dagger was already out of his hand flying forward. It was difficult to aim perfectly in such a situation where one had to anticipate movement of an unfamiliar target but with a little bit of luck Loki pulled it off. His second dagger pierced the man's neck an inch maybe two. Shock likely set in immediately as the man went limp and fell forward onto his chest. With a tug on his wires Loki pulled both of his daggers free and back towards him, taking but a moment to snatch the blood stained weapons out of the air.

Immediately after Loki had retrieved his weapons Honora had decided that it would be best if they took this brief lull in combat to get Jeff out of the window. Loki wasn't quite fond of any plan that involved climbing down from that window again but he had an idea. He sheathed one dagger and then untied the string from the other off of his belt. He tied the string around the leg of a table that was next to him. The table wasn't very heavy, but would catch against the window fram. With his string now secured on the table leg and Honora nowhere in sight he figured he best haul ass out of that window. Jeff didn't look too happy and if anything Loki would guess he was confused. Chances were if he thought he could scale the wall he would have already but Loki was ready to provide assistance. Jeff was busy peeking his head out of the window, no doubt looking for a way down. Loki backed up a bit towards the door and then began sprinting towards the window. Using all of his strength he wrapped his arms around Jeff and tackled the man out of the window. Hanging on for dear life the two men flew out of the window. Loki's dagger was secured to his belt with the other end of the string attached to the table which by now was making its way towards the wall. The two men fell towards the ground with the sound of a screaming thirty year old man. Jeff's screams were cut off as they reached the end of Loki's ten meter safety line with a tug. Their bodies stopped going down and started to swing back towards the wall. Loki's feet made contact with the rather solid stone wall that sent a shiver up his back but for the most part they were all good. There was only another six feet between Loki and the ground so he stretched his arms out and eased Jeff down. As soon as Jeff touched the ground an ugly sound reached Loki's ears. The table which had kept Loki from plummeting straight to the ground had cracked and bent under the weight, and was now falling straight down. Loki fell six feet and landed with little problems but he made a dash to make sure the table didn't fall on anybody. It hit the ground as a crumpled mess so he wasted no time and untying the string from the table leg and re-secured it to his belt as Diana and Elizabeth made their way out of the tower. He gave Jeff a glance before trying to talk to him.

"Not gunna lie that was kind of fun."
