Skill Tier: 3
Skill Name: Quarantine
Skill Type: Chi/Energy
Skill Range: 5m
Skill Cooldown&Duration: 5 | Instant Skill Description: The Chi Blocker understands that routes of energy in a body more so than anyone. Each skill we use, each assault, every single strike uses a certain path of transference in the body. The Chi Blocker is aware of this fact and uses it to their advantage. Once the user has seen a technique of an opponent, they are made intimately aware of the processes the body took to unleash such a skill. The user slashes horizontally as though the opponent was directly in front of them and sends out a light blue impulse in a coned shaped that stretches 5m wide and another 5m in length towards the victim, negating that specific route of energy transference. This works by specifically attacking the pressure points along that route. Energy can move in many ways and thus any other skill may be used. The victims body essentially can not complete the path of energy for that specific skill and it is thus unusable until the end of the thread. This victim must have used the technique no more than two posts before this technique is used. If this technique cancels out a T3, it can no longer be used in the thread. It can, alternatively, cancel up to (2) T2 or lower techniques

Skill Name: Ground Zero
Skill Type: Hand to Hand
Skill Range: 5m
Skill Cooldown&Duration: 5|Instant
Skill Description: The Chi Blocker must be be able to keep a fight within a specific range in order to make the most of their abilities. This technique, showcasing a Blockers ability  to close that small gap between them and an opponent quickly, keeps the enemy from widening that game. With Ground Zero, the user sends out of a wave of chi in all directions with a 5m radius, causing up to (1) T3 PC or (2) T2 PCs in the zone to become rigid and stiff, immobilizing a part of their body to effectively weaken their abilities to evade attacks. Anyone caught in this wave of light blue aura will have the option of experiencing paralysis in either their upper or lower body [upper body - arms, lower body -legs]. This technique will only affect tier 3 and under. This technique will last for two posts.

Ground Zero:

The tenketsu, or pressure points, begin to release energy and the user's ability to interact with the energy around them surpasses anything that've felt before.

Skill Name: Spirit Gun
Skill Type: Chi/Energy

Description: The user pulls their digits into the shape of a gun. After taking aim, a lightning fast burst of light blue chi will shoot forth like the bullet of a firearm. Any part of the body that is struck by these strikes will seize up and cause the muscles in the immediate area to cramp and become rigid. The user may fire up to 3 times per post for two posts as far as 7m. For the record, taking a hit in any part of the arm means that arm is useless; the same being said for the leg. Being hit in the chest restricts breathing, which in turn makes excessive movement increasingly difficult. Taking a hit to the head will knock the target unconscious.This technique is essentially a quickly, more rapid version of the user's Demolition and Desolation techniques.

Skill Name: Divine Infrastructure
Skill Type: Chi/Energy
Skill Range: Self
Skill Cooldown&Duration: 5|2
Description: The Chi Blocker can become a master of the energy of others, but to do so they must first master themselves. To protect oneself is one of the key principles of this style, and therefore techniques like this are essential. The user activates this ability and their body begins to emit energy at a hyper rate. The users body seems to be laden in armor of pure, glowing white light. A roman-style helmet, breastplate, shoulder armor, shin guards and thigh guards, though not completely solid, the energy has extreme blocking force. While this technique is active, the armor will defend against (1) tier 5 technique or (2) tier 4 and lower techniques, both physical and elemental, over the span of two posts, dissolving away in a beautiful mist once its reached its breaking point in any of the two posts.

Skill Tier: 3
Skill Name: Seize and Desist
Skill Type: Chi/Energy
Skill Range: Contact
Skill Cooldown&Duration: 5|2
Description: Energy and Chi are the lifeblood of all who walk the earth. Its influence throughout the body is crucial for even the simplest of tasks. And therefore, when this channel of energy is severed deadly repercussions are a result. This technique, though it range is limited that of touch, can used on up to 2 PC targets or 10 grunts (the range of people more to do with the complexity of their chakra systems than the actual numbers). The user would attack as they normally would but these strikes, always a series of three precise and quick blows, act as a sort of cut off switch. If a T1 target is struck with these blows, though generally light as all chi strikes are, will die from the severance of their chi channels, T2 targets will collapse into a state of unconsciousness for 2 posts, T3 targets will suffer convulsions when attempting quick movements and therefore lose a degree of mobility [-1 to Speed] for 2 posts and T4 targets will be will be dizzied and unable to focus energy and therefore restricted into tier 1 techniques for the 2 posts. The user can target one person per post for two posts.

Tier 4 Techs:

Skill Name: Haki Inhibitor
Skill Type: Chi/Energy
Skill Range: Touch
Skill Cooldown&Duration: Once Per Thread | Instant
Description: The secrets of the Chi Blocking Style are slowly coming to light. With the introduction of Haki and its use in the world of fighters, the Chi Blockers reveal that they had long ago discovered a way to thwart even these uncanny fighters. The user can sense, at this point, those who use Haki once it has been activated. This technique is only operable when armament haki is not active, due to its rebounding effects. The user syncs their own chi to match that of a particular haki user, which requires one post of seeing the haki in use, and the user has three posts thereafter to make contact. If contact is not made, the cooldown begins. Once the user makes contact with the target, they will find their ability to use haki disrupted for the remainder of the thread.

I don't know about this, I will need more reasoning behind the skill being forgotten throughout the whole thread. It would be better if you stated that they could not due to the passage being blocked off. I'm not quite understanding how energy is manifesting into a something solid form, also does this have an appearance, what do you look like while in this armor.

Just a simple touch? I would have to say that it a little outlandish even for chi blocking, I believe that a certain point where the Haki begins to manifest within the body should be discerned and hit in this technique instead of just touching someone.

I've given more description to justify how the technique could be "forgotten" through this technique. Basically, if you hit enough of the pressure points along the route of energy it disrupts the completion of the technique. Or so my fake logic imagines it so.

I'm not quite understanding how energy is manifesting into a something solid form, also does this have an appearance, what do you look like while in this armor.

I've added more info here as well. Instead of the armor, which I've better described now, isn't so much a solid thing that blocks as a repelling force for incoming techniques.

Just a simple touch? I would have to say that it a little outlandish even for chi blocking, I believe that a certain point where the Haki begins to manifest within the body should be discerned and hit in this technique instead of just touching someone.

You've reminded me of something I mentioned in the original skill set. Just as a reference point to why I'm now creating haki inhibiting techniques.

"Known to only the most skilled of chi blockers is the secret techniques that stop not only chi, but haki as well. Once a blocker understands haki and how its performed, they can understand how their attacks can halt this flow as well. It is worth noting that particular haki styles such Armament Haki once activated will still negate even these techniques, and therefore a Chi Blocker must be proactive in preventing its use early."

Basically, because armament haki can negate techniques as well, I essentially decided a while ago to 1) have a syncing post, and 2) require that the touch occur before that kind of haki is used. My style has a clear history of progressing from a series of strikes to a singular strike to disrupt pressure points. During the first post, energy must be synced so that one touch is all that will be required. I figured it justified the one-strike rule. Is it the world "touch" that you dislike or should i have it actually be a chi "strike"?

imma intervene before this gets out of hand, because I feel like if I wait to see if someone is gonna request the change it ain't gonna happen and this gonna get approved.


t3 speed for t3 skills and t4 for t4 please, scaling waaaay too fast even if this is a speed skill set 20m radius insta stun on an unspecified amount of targets for a single post gotta go or be nerfed, for obvious reasons.

ur skillset weakness says

Except for their evasiveness and speed, mid to long-ranged opponents are among the most deadly for these fighters as their whole fighting style relies on close hand-to-hand fighting.

yet more than half of these are ranged attacks, that doesn't seem right. I don't see how the Spirit Gun thing fits other than the damage style. The infinity armor needs a durability threshold. Ur saying it can take an infinite amount of attacks that are t4 and below for 2 post, not that it can take x amount of damage before breaking, that's a big issue.

then u have another ranged attack that is invisible, but insta kills people, incapacitates, or stuns for a whole post.

I'm not seeing the skillset's integrity being maintained here. all these ranged attacks, over powered attacks, and the clench my fist u die technique doesn't even have a cooldown or duration.

- 20m radius stun lowered to 10, targets specified at 2
- Effect held at 1 post.

- Decreased the range of all
- Spirit Gun edited to fit the mold better.
- Infinite armor can be broken from 1 tech 4 tech, 2 tier 3 techs, and three of any other combination before breaking.

- Made into a contact-only technique, t1 = kill, t2 = unconscious, t3 = spasms while moving (-1 speed stat (mobility)) for 2 posts, t4 = unable to concentration enough to use anything beyond t1 techs for 2 posts.
- Cooldown/Duration 5/2

While this technique is active, the armor will repel up to (3) tier 4 and lower techniques, both physical and elemental, over the span of two posts errrr tanking 3 t4 attacks with a t4 skill is a bit too much. I'll allow u to tank 2 t4 attacks only because this is a skill from a skill set mode.

This technique, though it range is limited that of touch, can used on up to 2 PC targets or 10 grunts (the range of people more to do with the complexity of their chakra systems than the actual numbers). The user would attack as they normally would but these strikes act as a sort of cut off switch. If a T1 target is struck with this blow, though generally light as all chi strikes are, will die from the severance of their chi channels, T2 targets will collapse into a state of unconsciousness for 2 posts, T3 targets will suffer convulsions when attempting quick movements and therefore lose a degree of mobility [-1 to Speed] for 2 posts and T4 targets will be will be dizzied and unable to focus energy and therefore restricted into tier 1 techniques for the 2 posts. this is basically saying all u gotta do is poke someone and they succumb to whatever effects they are vulnerable to. How about a bit more than just, "I touched u gg" u ever seen Kill Bill with the five finger exploding heart palm shit. make it something a bit more than placing a hand on a shoulder. In addition how does this work on two PCs? Are u saying u can use the skill twice during its 2 post duration, if so specify u get one usage a post for two post.

holdup, i just noticed the mode ain't got no speed section in the template, just add one and put something. u'd be eligible for speed 4 with it. then remove that the spirit gun travels faster than a firearm shoots a bullet or whatever.

I don't like the idea that you can without even touching someone cancel out up to two attacks and lock them for an entire thread. So state that if a tier 3 technique is locked then this technique can no longer be used for the entire thread. Meaning it can lock up to two tier 1 and twos [so lke 1 tier 1 and one tier 2 or 2 tier 2's etc] but needs "both" uses to lock a tier 3.

You can halt half the body of two pc's which means this technique can halt half the bodies of two tier 3's in a single go? in a ten meter radius, with a hand to hand technique? Lower the distance to five, state it working solely on a single tier 3, you can halt two tier 2's or lower in this way, but two tier 3's is a no no.

This counts as a tier four technique, so it would have the ability to halt a single tier 5 technique or two tier 4's for example. BUT if your repelling it has a secondary function instead of just defending, if this is the case you can only repel a single tier 4, two tier 3's etc. So change the wording to pure defence or lower the amount. If the limit of what is defendable/repelled is reached the armour breaks and is forced on to a cooldown. You can't defend two tier 4 techniques per post for example.

No to remainder of the thread, if allowing this the cooldown should be much larger especially since the effect are instant and have a mass duration, 10 posts for cooldown should be the minimum on something like this if your tryign to halt things for the thread. Also there are three forms of Haki that all work differently, this technique should only effect a single form, pick one and state it

I don't agree that a tier 3 technique would require THAT much effort to cancel another tier 3 ability, especially since a person has maybe a two dozen or more techniques that can use from at least 2 different fighting styles by the time they're tier 3. I'll concede that using this technique on the same person is too much and will add a clause stating that it cant be used on the same person twice, but to use both uses to lock a skill on the same level as this is nerfing it seriously in my opinion. Lots of techniques can affect at least one tier above their own tier (as you state in the defensive skill below) and this doesn't even aim for that.  If I state that no person can be affected twice (which i actually like tbh) then the alternate wordign of two tier 1s/2s becomes incompatable. Also there is a "touching" happening, and a person can still dodge the wave of clearly visible energy that doesn't go that far for this to be a tier 3 tech. Lots of techs word with shockwaves and vapors that are much more difficult to dodge.

I think ur nerfing my skill needlessly. Nothing about my ranged techs hurt/kill a person, they are all immobilizing techniques (hence the reason to make a chi blocking style). Every actual attack must be at close range, keeping true to the fact that this is a hand to hand style. Im not chopping someones head of at 3, 5, or 100 meters away. I'm not shooting off a "shockwave" and damaging peoples organs with my hand to hand style like some other skills out there. By the very nature of the style i've been building, chi energy is increasing ranging outward, not my ability to hurt people. So I think all this talk of "you're doing 10m with a hand to hand styleeeeeeeeee" bs is not a fair assessment.

I'll put a limiter of once per thread to do away with cooldowns. As for choosing a specific form, since there being no actual tell tale signs (in the mind of a chi blocker anyway) as to which forms an opponent has, making me choose one kind is sort of forcing me to metagame. If i have an inhibitor technique that effects only observation haki, how could i know whether this person or that person has that type or uses that one the most? Id essentially, to make my ONLY t4 tech useful, be using OOC knowledge to choose which person to use it on. If Im forced to make that distinction then I request to add a clause in this technique that lets me discern the strongest haki a person uses and affect only that one (something that would relate to my already approve passive in my opinion).
