Hello.
Boo!

Office chairs tied together don't make a raft
Spook time and time again has attempted to set sail into the large oceans of the grand line but has failed each time. He hasn't gotten past a few hundred meters from the shore before his raft would collapse every time. His rafts consisted of office furniture tied together, desk-chairs, this had failed to work. He had to swim back to the shore each time and start working on a new raft. As you might have guessed, activities such as making a raft and swimming back tired young Spook out. Being the person he is he decided to call it for today, and had a new journey set. And that journey was drinking until dawn.

As he passed the docks he couldn't help himself but look at the grandiose ships that were there. If only he could manage to bring himself to the grand line and continue journeying there...

'Well, what do we have here?' Spook said as he bent over. It was a lucky clover, he grabbed it and plucked it off the ground. He stood up right again and stored the clover in his breast pocket. His long English-styled boots were half covered in mud as he paraded on wards. With no fixed goal in mind, he was looking for a bar while still being near the docks. Being as shady and mysterious as he was, it wouldn't be odd for someone to notice him out of a crowd.

As usual whenever she went exploring/scouting, Linnea could hardly go without her Kenbunshoku Haki, and now that she got her hands on it, her Black Den Den Mushi. Marines talked too much after all, and whenever they did that gave her the opportunity to overhear it too. Even then, the Marines at this part of the island weren't really concerned with pirates unless they caused too much trouble. Linnea would wager the Revolutionaries would easily use one such distraction to do far worse to them than an average pirate passing by... So she kept her Jolly Roger raised, exploring the docks by herself at a part of the Island she'd never really been to.

She smiles as she glanced around at the few people at the docks; Pirates and dockworkers all went about their business without forming a particularly large crowd, allowing the hooded blonde ranger to simply walk around comfortably, her eyes shaded from the sun yet still keenly aware of her surroundings. More importantly, her Haki pointed out a few auras stronger than average. One of these was a rather shady looking blonde man, but then, with her revealing Amazon styled clothes and half her face hidden by a hood, she didn't lay low as much as she normally hoped... Linnea inspected the man as she walked and noticed him picking something up, and narrowed her sharp blue eyes in an attempt to make out what that might be. It didn't look shiny but then she was moved mostly by curiosity instead of greed...

'It's a clover.'

Spook said, turning his head to the shaded figure who seemed to be eyeing his actions ever so curiously. Upon closer inspection, Spook could see more of the figure. It was quite late-- the sun had already set and the stars had begun to shine. The ever so charismatic Spook turned the rest of his body to the female, in his left hand he carried a brown bag with a few cheap cans of alcoholic beverages such as beer and a cheese sandwich.

'Do one of those grandiose ships belong to you?'

He asked, ever so curiously. Jesters gear indicated that he had been swimming, his clothes smelled of salt from the ocean. On his back he had his spear, he wore it cross-ways, making it easily to be drawn had he needed to do so. His aura gave of calmness and hinted unrelenting pragmatism. The truth is that Spook required a vassal to brin himself across the grand line, perhaps this maiden might have been able to provide him with such.

'Should you have one of those ships I mentioned, surely you or your captain isn't looking for sea men that are prepared to paddle their way into the horizon and into the grand line?'

'I can be quite useful, you know.'

Spook said without waiting for a response. He was quite direct, blunt. He got to the point pretty quickly, it was something he was known for-- if he was known at all.

Even if she came from a remote Island tribe, with a completely different culture, the significance of clover leaves wasn't lost on the young amazon. She inspected the man, blushing slightly when she found him looking back. Judging by his clothes, he had been swimming thus he was probably not a devil fruit eater. Brushing a lock of hair behind her ear, she turned her head and finger to point at the Melusine, Jolly roger flying proudly atop the main mast:

"Uhm... That one is mine. Her name is Melusine.", she even smiled with a hint of pride as she talked about her ship, admiring the vessel she concieved. She wasn't a shipwright, but she could still direct one, and so she did. Regardless, the caravel was actually far from grandiose, being one of the smallest around, but therein laid its strength. Even if it was a bit slower with the lateen sails currently equipped, it was still really fast and could sail against the wind.

Linnea tugged on her hood once, but then turned her head up to look at the blond man with sharp blue eyes, in stark contrast to her calm yet bashful aura, before gasping, surprised to hear such a proposition. The only other person who had ever come up to her and outright offered to join her crew was Mea, who was rather childish and utterly transparent. He looked like an able bodied fighter, with a spear strapped to his back, and she had no doubt he could make a fine addition to her crew; his aura proved it nicely:

"We are headed there soon, but... What do you expect to find there?", she cocked her head slightly, that curious, inquisitive look returning to her face. She pulled her hood down completely, letting her platinum hair flutter freely. If she was about to recruit a crewmember, she had to know him and he would have to know her. So, she paid greater attention to his aura, feeling his emotions...

There was no better way to get to know a new person so quickly, if she was going to call him a friend and a crewmate, they would at least need some mutual trust. She was cautious as she was shy after all, it would be obvious every decision this woman made was well pondered and calculated...

Spook glanced over towards the general direction of which the woman a few meters away from him pointed at. Melusine, she called it. It was a caravel, the size was great enough to give room for more than ten people as he could see. This peeked his interest, the stranger seemed somewhat capable. Spook glanced at her occasionally and found her to be somewhat... keen. Her eyesight perhaps? It was all unknown for Spook, but what he did feel was a strange feeling of overwhelming pride. Not pride, ... something else. He couldn't quite put his finger on it. Having met all sorts of people, he hasn't met many with auras similar to hers.

She smiled, which Spook returned with a few words.

'Hey, that's a nice ship.'
...
'What's your name?'
...

The relative tall male said, towering the female with a few inches. In response to her cocked head his ever so enigmatic smile would reveal itself. Her hair seemed bleached, at least to Spook.

'I'm Spook. I think we were destined to meet here.'
...

'The reason why I want to go to the grand line is because sometimes there are times when the era suddenly determines everything. And I think that era has dawned upon us, I want to question the world and meet the worlds most dangerous man in order to challenge him for his title.'
...
'Do you wanna turn the world upside down with me?'

The man looked pretty impressed at the ship, but she was certain he would be even more so once they'd cut the ropes and sailed across the blues at full speed. She certainly was the first time she sailed it. She knew it would be fast when she first designed it, but she still had to appreciate the masterful work of her shipwright for his splendid work:

"Thanks...", she blushed even more at this statement, scratching her head and revealing her weakness to compliments before she finally looked at him with a bright yet resolute smile, "I'm Naga D. Linnea; Captain of the Uroboros Pirate crew!"

He was truly an interesting man, whose words matched his emotions. He had a clear goal in sight, a dream even, but more than that he knew fully well the consequences of the travel he sought to undertake, and still went straight for it, without flinching. He explained how there was a man who he wanted to defeat; the world's most dangerous man... He must mean the Pirate King Wallace D. Rose! Her eyes widened even more at his blunt, decisive statement - visibly beating her normally unshakable calm for one - with a confidence the likes of which she had never seen... But soon her astonishment turned into heartfelt laughter.

"Truly... An interesting man.", she flashed a genuine smile, admiring how similar to herself Spook was. He was a lot more open and about his goals and aspirations however. She finally stretched out her hand, "Very well! Come travel around the world with me; we'll make some lovely waves together!"

Surely Spook could look after himself, but now that she had one more crewmate she felt the need to protect, she had to further train her Haki. Living in the jungle taught her how being caught off guard could prove fatal after all, but now that they were heading inside the ship, the Kairouseki hull would keep them protected...

"Come with me, I'll show you around the ship and introduce you to some of the others.", she invited him, nodding towards her ship and stepping aboard. She had to wonder how many of her crewmates were around...

The uroboros crew huh, it was quite convenient that she was the captain of her crew-- thought Spook. Her name wasn't a name he had heard before, but her face was somewhat familiar. Upon closer inspection, by stepping closer to the female he could see more of her face. But couldn't quite yet make out where he had seen her before. He smiled at her, smugly, in reaction to her abrupt laughter. Were his words not well received? Spook always considered himself to be quite serious when he meant it, and at other times he joked around. Maybe she was the same? Narrowing his eyes mildly as he was called interest he would follow her lead and gave a slight nod at her proposal of them sailing waves together-- whatever slight sexual implication that may have had.

'Very well, that sounds lovely.'

He said in response to the invitation to introduce himself to her other crewmates. Perhaps this could be a time for him to ask what Naga's ambitions and goals were, he was also deciding whether or not to address her by, 'Captain', 'Naga' or 'Linnea'. Judging from her authoritative and slightly awkward personality he couldn't make a decision as important as that so easily, maybe he could try to mix it up?

'So, captain-my-captain, could you tell me more about your crew in general? And your ambitions, I'm a curious person you see.'

Spook explained whilst following the semi-cloaked Naga towards her ship. The docks were quite busy, grunts everywhere carrying goods to their respective ships, commanders shouting out commands. The smell of cheap liquor, booze, gunpowder and the sweat of pirate grunts had put a firm mark on the docks. After hopefully receiving some information about Naga, he would board her ship.

Spook's resolve had an interesting effect on her, one she was rather starting to like... Nothing like meeting someone so determined to become more open about her own drives. It made her all the more eager to wrap everything up and get ready to hit the Grand Line. But she still had to catch up to Raziel... Maybe she could count on his help for this task?

"It's quite alright... I come from the Kuja tribe in Amazon Lily.", she started her answer to his question, smiling as she explained her past and motivation, revealing a more dreaming, passionate side to herself, "I like exploring more than anything, I became a Pirate so I could see the world on my own terms, without a faceless government telling me where I can or can't go. The Grand Line is the Final fronteir... The place where most have went but few returned... Even if I was born there, I want to go back there through the beaten path, and complete a lap around the world. Each of us each have something they hope to find in there..."

A hint of scorn left her lips at her mention of the world government however; as a Kuja tribeswoman, she grew in an envoiroment where a leader became such because they were not only strong, but loved and respected by all. Her impressions of the World Government and the Marines were the exact opposite, and obeying them would be an insult to her Queen. At least now he might understand why did she pick that symbol for her Jolly Roger: The snake eating its own tail was a perfect depiction of her ambition.

But once they stepped on the ship, Linnea gradually eased up into her more usual calm and gentle disposition, surrounded as she was by her friends and loved ones, and the dreams that brought them all together. She finally took off her cloak and hung nearby, looking around for her other crewmates before looking back at Spook:

"And you can call me Linnea if you prefer.", she blushed slightly, even if she didn't mind being called Captain, she didn't want want Spook feeling like he was forced to address her as such. Unlike most Pirate Captains, she had taken that mantle as her closest friends looked to her as such, and she saw that title as her obligation to protect each of them throughout their voyage.

She then looked up at the skies, feeling the wind fluttering her hair around... Clear skies, strong winds but not overly so. The birds were eagerly heading off into the sea as well; this would certainly be a good time to set sail if they so desired. But some of them still had things to take care of here in Illusia.

"By the way, what are your talents? Judging from that spear, I'd wager Melee Weapons are one of them...?", inquired Lin, folding her arms under her breasts, casually chatting as he looked around the ship...

The tribe she mentioned didn't ring a bell in the mind of Spook, he had no idea what she meant but pretended that he did-- which he signified by nodding as she was done talking about it. Nick heard her mention a few words about exploring, he sort-of felt the same but in different regard. Showing that he was polite, he nodded and replied occasionally with, 'I see', and 'Yes, I agree', while she spoke at times. Spook had a good ear, part of listening well was also interacting to show that he was listening to what she was saying-- which he did to some extent. From what he understood is that Linnea didn't have a precise goal in mind, whereas Spook had. His ambition to defeat the strongest man alive was a grandiose one, but he believed that it could be achieved.

The eccentric Spook boarded the ship at a slow pace, he was afraid of losing his footing at part where he had to climb the ship by using the shady ladder. He was worried he would slip and fall into the cold water, having already been out in the sea and swimming for several hours he did not want to follow through the process once more. Linnea, she wanted to be called. Jesters lips curling up in a sly grin as he nodded,

'Of course,'

He said in response as he stepped onto the ship. He felt her attitude shift into a more positive one, whereas she previously acclaimed a somewhat near eccentric body language it had shifted into a more open one. A warm one, which made Spook narrow his eyes at her. Maybe her attitude shifts and changed could be attributed to the fact that she was a woman, and Spook hadn't met many women. Though from what he could tell the difference between her and others is that she seemed to have a light fade across her cheeks every now and then. Spook begun to think and try to look up a pattern, oh yes, it was whenever she turned around to face him.

How peculiar.

'My talents?'

He asked, as he grabbed his spear by its halt, pulling it forward gently. He raised the back of the spear against the hull of the ship, so he wouldn't damage the ship if he had held it otherwise. He pointed towards the tip.

'I use this to stab people, I suppose being a weapon specialist is my occupation'

He said dryly.

'You are correct, melee weaponry is one of many of my aspects in which I consider myself to be knowledgeable about, in the future I hope to quest for mythical fruits that have been told to grand their users magical powers depending on the fruit.'

'And perhaps I may have the pleasure of your aid during those grand adventures where I go out and quest for those magical fruits of the wet jungles?'

He explained, Spook was familiar with the dangers of tasks that were out of his reach, having failed a task not too long ago because he realized his incompetence. After talking Spook had begun to unbutton the top part of his blouse. He reached his hand down his shirt and pulled out a fish and threw it back into the sea. It must have been there since he swum a few hours ago and it slipped in without him noticing.

'Could you tell a thing or two about your crewmates?'

Nicholas had been relaxing up in the crow's nest. And by relaxing, it was more recovering from a hangover from the night before. From some reason, the gentle rocking of the crow's nest seemed to help him relax and his stomach to settle. His eyes were closed, though he wasn't asleep. Which was why he picked up the voices of the people down below. One he of course recognized as his captain, Linnea. But the other was someone new. A male voice.

Nicholas looked over the side, down at the pair below. The newcomer was a tall man with a spear. It looked like their captain had recruited another into their fold. He leaned in, trying to listen to what they were saying. It seemed the topic had switched over to the rest of the crew. "Well," the blonde called out from above, "Why don't you ask us yourself?" The navigator vaulted himself over the edge of the crows nest, falling towards them (don't worry, he aimed so he wouldn't land on anyone). As he came closer to the ground, he triggered the Jet Dial attached to his shoe, the rush of air going downwards and slowing his decent until he landed on the ground with a casual hop. Sticking his hands on his pockets, he looked over the newcomer.

"The name's Nicholas Edison. Navigator, Dial Master, and overall flashy bastard. Pleasure to meet you."

"The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen, or even touched

If anyone was paying any kind of attention behind them, they would soon begin to hear a large amount of grumbling. If anyone bothered to turn around, they would see a certain redheaded woman coming up the gangway with her arms crossed and a ridiculously cute pout on her face. "Sixty thousand beli just to fix a damn metal cuirass... It's not even a whole casing! It's two divisible pieces! Who the hell has that kind of money lying around?!" Liara was most certainly not in a good mood. Her armor had been broke from almost a week now and it was killing her. Liara was becoming persistently jumpy and it didn't help that Nicky decided he was going to sneak up on her and surprise her at every moment of the day...

Liara just did not feel secure without her armor. She felt like everyone was staring at her... Her wings - which were securely hidden away - felt like they were out on display for everyone to see. She sighed gently as she neared the top of the walkway. As she finally got onto the deck, she noticed that Naga and Nicky were talking with a man in a rather...odd garb. She raised an eyebrow. Part of her wanted to just head below deck before she was noticed, but then she knew that Naga would probably notice her soon and make her come over. Sighing again, the redhead pulled her T-Shirt a bit tighter against her before she walked over.

Thankfully, she arrived just as Nicky finished talking. "Bastard is precisely the word I would use for him. As for me, my name is Liara Reyold. Nice to meet you." Liara smiled a bit at Naga - who probably had already discerned that Liara was in a bad mood -  before looking over at Nicky. She narrowed her eyes. She could have sworn she detected that familiar glint in his eyes. Her hands immediately went to the twin red whips at her sides. "Just try it, pretty boy... I swear I should have let those Fishmen take you when I had the chance..."

Spook was a rather cool, relaxed sort of guy... If he had any strong feelings towards any detail of her backstroy he certainly didn't show it, but he did listen attentively enough. He didn't really display the same passion he showed earlier towards anything else but in the end that didn't really matter. He'd have plenty of opportunities to indulge in said passion, as would they all. His was a lot clearer than hers, perhaps his target was the world's strongest spearman? Regardless, she look back and smiled as her new crew member climbed onto the ship.

Looking on, she saw as he drew his spear and confirmed his aptitude for melee weapons, bluntly stating how his strongest talent was using that weapon to stab people. The dry way he spoke made it almost funny, if not for the fact he was completely serious:

"You mean the Devil Fruits? I read about some of those...", commented Linnea, nodding affirmatively, knowing they were indeed priceless treasures, rubbing her chin quizzically. Some more so than others, but a skilled merchant could easily sell even a weak fruit for a hefty price. She gave him a reassuring smile, "Of course I would! I know about some of them, and I can help you pick one that would best suit your fighting style."

With her eiditic memory, she had an easy time remembering books and pieces of paper, which together with a firm belief in "Knowledge is power" compelled her to acquire as much knowledge as she could. With it, she could write a vivid diary of her adventures for others to read, pictures of the sights she saw... The possibilities were endless, one of the reasons why she had that dream. She looked on curiously as he opened his wet shirt and reached inside, chuckling innocently when he picked out a stray fish and threw it overboard. And the conversation turned to her other crewmembers and one of them didn't even let her speak:

"Nicky! How's that hangover?", asked a playful Linnea as he fell down close to them with his jet dial, chuckling at his literally flashy introduction

And he wasn't the only one... Liara hadn't joined their crew yet - not officially anyways - but Linnea still thought of her as a friend, and the way she and Nicky. Their chatter shadowed the Knightly redhead's presence. She ranted about the money she was gonna need to fix her armor; she had noticed the woman busy with her attempts to fix it, but she looked pretty determined with getting it done herself. Her introduction was even more amusing as she wasted no time snapping at Nicky... These two were always at each other's throats but still they got along pretty well. It was defenitely an unusual sight for the withdrawn ranger, which only made it all the more amusing:

"I see you're still at wit's end with your armor, Liara...", spoke a calm, yet gently reassuring Linnea as she grabbed a small pouch of gold and offered it to her with a smile, "This should be enough for a new one, no?"

But there was something else too... She picked another, larger pouch with louder ka-ching, and offered it to Nicky in turn. It lightened her pockets even more but she obviously didn't care, "... And this should be enough for that Dial we discussed...?"

As expected of a Pirate Captain, the Amazon Huntress was as greedy as the rest of them. Yet unlike most, Linnea had an odd form of greed... She truly loved money and shiny objects, but loved spending it even more, and found hoarding it to be mostly useless. To her, money was only useful as long as she could spend it, and spending it for her friends was just as good. She then turned to Spook, extending the same offer she just made her other two friends, "If you need any new equipment, let us know. Myself or one of the others might have enough to help you out."

She had come from a rather humble tribe, and was used to not living with much. That said, she liked living comfortably...

Suddenly walking out from the ship he could hear his crewmates in the distance so he decided to quit being anti-social and join in on the conversation. The dark skinned pirate had a change of clothes; instead of his usual black capris he wore black shorts that ended at his knees. He also had on a gray headband to keep his dreadlocks out from his face. Seeing the group as he emerged from the ships downstairs chambers he laughed loudly at Liara’s response to Nicholas greeting, “your to funny Liara” he said as he continued to chuckle. However, his attention shifted when Naga started to speak about devil fruits, and being a DF user he felt a bit obligated to enter into the conversation.

As he got closer to the group he noticed one of them was somebody completely new to him, “Yo I am Ike” he said in a carefree tone as he raised his hand up as he greeted the stranger. He then turned his attention to Naga, “whats the sudden interest in Devil fruits?” he asked harmlessly and out of plain curiosity. But, this question was short lived when he heard her offering the man any assistance if he needed, and for a slight second Ike felt a little jealous. “Captain never offered to buy me anything!”, he stated as he turned away from the group as he pouted like a kid and crossed his arms. He didn’t feel so much as a jealous but more like he felt like being silly for the moment.

More and more voices came forward, -- with Spook constantly having to divide his attention among members that had been boarding the ship or generally appearing from the shadows he would try and respond to the things he considered of high priority. One man was named Nicholas, Nicholas Edison. It was a tad bit awkward, because Spooks true name, 'Nickolas Spook', sounds a bit familiar. Well, only the first name.

For that reason, he wouldn't reveal his first name to the lot. More and more crews members had bundled together, some more tsundere then others. Spook sat down and put his spear on the side of the ship, the edge hanging outwards towards the sea. The discussion of devil fruits had continued, Spook listened to what Naga had to say, and another crewmember named Ike. They all seemed so... intriguing. Spook sometimes has a strange enigmatic feel, those truely experts in reading body language would be able to pick up subtle hints about his true nature. His true nature has a side in which it is justified to hunt humans for sport. Vaguely, Spook also seems like a warm character. Whereas other people state their intentions and their goals, Spook usually only states his goals. He tries not to describe what he would do in order to achieve them, crimes against humans are generally frowned upon.

'Devil fruits, yes, that is what they are called'

He said, waiting until Naga was done giving her crew their compensation for whatever they needed. Of course, Spook would always politely refuse any kind of valuta. He used his thumb to point at his armor,

'I'm already covered, but thank you for the offer.'

His left eyelashes batting against each other, winking at Naga.

'I quite recall reading about one -- which I'm not gonna openly discuss because of the stories I've heard that involve treachery, but it is a valuable, rare fruit. Perhaps I should introduce myself to the crew some more'

Spook always spoke with clear language, making sure anyone could understand him. He also used his hands slightly, when talking, it makes it easier for people to follow what he is saying and it keeps interaction fresh. He stood up.

'My name is Spook, much like any of you I am a pirate, I met Naga earlier today and have already explained my ambitions to her; but nonetheless I should repeat.'

He cleared his throat then looked left, and then right-- comically, there was literally nothing to his left or right.

'Sometimes there are times when the era suddenly determines everything. And I think that era has dawned upon us, I want to question the world and meet the worlds most dangerous man in order to challenge him for his title.'

With that Spook hoped to have cleared some ambitions about himself. While he spoke about that man he let himself go slightly, and indicated a dangerous aura-- perhaps people would notice had they paid attention. In order for Spook to become strong enough to defeat him he had to have a resolve strong enough.

'I will assist you all in your ambitions, and goals. And I hope you will assist me with mine.'

'One for all, all for one'

'Thank you for welcoming me into your crew.'

Spook said, while he spoke he looked from member to member, making intense eye contact. He was a pretty intense person. After he was done speaking, he sat down on the barrel behind him where he previously sat before speaking up.
