Skill Set Stat: Melee Weapon
Skill Set Information:  An unnamed sword style taught to Ondori and a few others when he left Wano Country and moved to Baltigo and became a Bounty Hunter. It is a katana based martial art based around the lifestyle of headhunting, thus it is regarded as an assassination sword style. Majority of its techniques attack vital areas to give the victims a hasty death or they focus on rendering them lame by striking the obviously vital muscle groups like biceps, thighs, or achilles tendon to allow for an easy capture. Being an assassination style in a perfect world one successful blow is all that is needed to put a battle in the user's favor. That said, the skill set focuses on taking advantage of the speed the practitioner has honed to overwhelm the opponent with a strike they either can't necessarily register or respond to successfully because of its quickness or number of strikes executed in such a small window of time.

Speed and efficient attacking isn't all the sword style promotes however. While discipline isn't something that's ingrained in the practicers as much as other martial arts schools push it upon their students, the few who have learned this particular Assassination Set are taught how to wield a sword with exceptional skill, finesse, and practicality making them revered and respected swordsmen and not only assassins.
Passive:  
  • Honed Reflexes:  With exceptional speed, Ondori's reflexes  operate at a higher level making the amount of time he needs to react to something with a reasonable response on his behalf less than most.
  • Liquid Tempo:  In a battle the tempo varies depending on different fighting styles and can ultimately decide who the winner is. Liquid Tempo is a skill refined over the times to allow Ondori to adjust to tempo changes as they come. With his attribute in speed, he can reach a variety of tempos, from slow to fast. Not only is this a great defensive trait to allow for last second changes when new variables are introduced, but allows him to convert this defense to offense when it comes to countering.
    Skill Strengths:  
  • Speed Based Skill Set, so climbs the speed tiers faster than most.

  • Along with being focused on speed, the sword style targets vital areas so a single successful cut can potentially end a fight

  • Skill Weaknesses:  
  • Being a speed based skill set, should skills of equal tier clash with someone not speed focused, the clash would result in Ondori losing.
  • Skills alone don't provide optimal defense.

  • Provides very little options for ranged combat.

  • Obvious presence of Killing Intent in usage of skills, making Kenbunshoku Haki more effective against this skill set.
    Notes:  
    Power of Destruction:

    Tier 2
  • Channeling Fire into sword slashes.


  • Transferring the force of a cut over a distance by swinging the sword at high speed, creating a "vacuum blade" of compressed air; or by simply creating strong winds with sword blows. This is known as a Flying Slash Attack (飛ぶ斬撃 Tobu Zangeki?). The color of these attacks varies between users such as blue, green, purple etc.




  • Tier 3
  • Cutting things that are usually harder than the sword itself, such as certain types of stone or even steel. The substance usually splits apart a few moments after being cut.


  • Cutting objects that are thicker than the length of the sword, such as buildings or ships.


  • Imbuing the swords with Busoshoku Haki to increase slicing power, as well as protect the blade from chipping.
  • Power Chart:

    *With PC's in question.
    Tier 1  - Wood can be destroyed easily, Stone can be cut multiple inches into, while metals akin to iron can be nicked about an inch or two deep with Skill Use. *Skills can cut into bone, while basic strikes can cut to the bone.

    Tier 2  - Stone can be cleaved through from the blows via Skill Use. Iron and similar metals can be cut 12" deep from Skill Use. Wood can be destroyed from basic attacks while metals like iron can be cut 4 inches deep. *Skills can cut through bone, allowing full dismemberment in regard to appendages like the arm, neck, or the leg below the knee. Basic strikes can cut to the bone and knick a few inches into it.

    Tier 3  - Stone can be cut through from basic blows and Iron cleaved through up to 6 inches deep. With skill use Ondori can cut straight through Iron while metals like Steel can be nicked about 6 inches deep. *Skill use allows for horizontal dismemberment at the waist or through the ribs, while cutting through a person vertical through the middle still isn't completely possible. Basic attacks can dismember appendages akin to the arm, leg below the knee, or neck.

    Tier 4  - Basic blows can cut straight through Iron and all materials lesser in durability. *Steel can be cut roughly 12 inches deep. Skill use can cut through steel and materials akin to it in durability. Skills can easily bisect a person from any angle. Basic attacks can almost bisect someone horizontally through the ribs.

    Tier 5  - Basic attacks can now cut completely through steel, while Skill usage allows for multiple sheets of steel to be cut through. *Skills and basic attacks can bisect a person from any angle.

    Tier 1 Skill Description:  Drawing his sword from its sheath using the principles of Iaido, Ondori's weapon attains max speed for a single slash before the hand used to steady the sheath quickly joins the other on the handle of the weapon and assist in executing one more slash whilst at max speed.

    Tier 1 Skill Name: Ghost Step
    Tier 1 Skill Type: Speed
    Tier 1 Skill Range: 7m
    Tier 1 Skill Cooldown&Duration: 4|1
    Tier 1 Skill Description:  Ghost Step is a subsequent movement based ability allowing Ondori to reach his personal max speed upon activation for a total of three spurts. The distance one of these burst of speed travel is up to him of course, but only a total of 7m can be traveled with this skill and it only last for a single post. (i.e. 1m+3m+3m or 6m+1m+0m)

    Tier 1 Skill Name: Upheaval
    Tier 1 Skill Type: Melee Weaponry
    Tier 1 Skill Range: 7m
    Tier 1 Skill Cooldown&Duration: 2|Instant
    Tier 1 Skill Description:   Digging his weapon in the ground, Ondori swings outwards sending out a spray of dirt, sand, whatever have you at the eyes of the target. This sprays in a cone that is 5m wide at the end of its range/reach which is 7m. If the substance gets in the eyes of the target they will find themselves blinded for 1 post and experience blurry vision for the single post that follows. Of course that is if something is done about the ailment and it's not ignored.

    Tier 1 Skill Name: Shadowed Tempo
    Tier 1 Skill Type: Melee Weaponry

    Tier 1 Skill Description: Using his ability to adjust his tempo instantaneous, Ondori not only matches his opponents tempo should they be on the offense, but he also uses his keen reflexes to put up an evasive front to dodge attacks easier. Using this skill he can read and shadow the movements of those with Melee Weaponry Proficiency equal to his and Hand to Hand fighters with 1 less point in Hand to Hand than he has in Melee Weaponry. Used correctly he could slip into someone's guard or exploit a hole in a defense for obvious reasons.

    Tier 1 Skill Name: Mercy

    Tier 1 Skill Description: Nothing more than a speedy jab or thrust of his weapon outward towards the targeted are, this skill is nothing without thoughtful timing. Simple but extremely deadly.

    Tier 2 Skill Description: Using the heavy presence of Killing Intent in the Assassination style, Ondori projects his murderous intentions in the form of a non-tangible vision of him executing the target. This can force a sight of precognition that Kenbunshoku Haki gives one onto the target whether it is active, awakened, or not. While it can be confused with Haoshoku Haki, it doesn't have the power to incapacitate anyone or anything and simply works to intimidate someone with killing intent to momentarily stun or paralyze someone. The vision can be project out from Ondori's own fram like seen in the gif above or the sight can be sheerly mental like when Luffy faced off with Dracule Mihawk and could foresee Mihawk would cut his hands off if he attacked him, etc. The image projected may not necessarily be the approach Ondori takes, so not only is this used to open the targets defense, but it can also be used to make the target think a certain attack is coming when in fact another will be employed. The stun last for 1.5 seconds and the skill can be inflicted on any one PC up to Tier 3 within 20m of Ondori or 10 Grunts.

    Tier 2 Skill Name: Invisible Sword
    Tier 2 Skill Type: Melee Weaponry
    Tier 2 Skill Range: Length of Blade +2m

    Tier 2 Skill Description: Using the speed of his strikes in junction with the Flying Slash principles, Ondori creates an edge that not only projects a few meters off his blade, but the vacuum he creates lags behind his weapons path of movement. This makes the Flying Slash emerge up to a full second after Ondori's slash has passed by. Used in a thoughtful manner the timing of Ondori's slashes and the Flying Slashes can produce a tempo that is extremely hard to not only read, but avoid since the swordsman is fast enough to produce another slash of his own before the Flying Slash from a previous sword swing even makes its presence known. The Flying Slashes are represented as seen above in a light blue, almost white arc and since they project out from his sword, they cut all that is 2m in front of the sword and not just specifically 2m away from it. This effect can augment up to 5 attacks per post.

    Tier 2 Skill Name: Shadowless Flight

    Tier 2 Skill Description: Utilizing the Flying Slash, Ondori swings his weapon and generates a dangerous air wave. It manifest itself as an arc compacted air that has a distorted appearance to it. The arc can create a cut that is 1.5m long, while the edge is extremely thin. Ondori can produce 3 air waves each usage.

    Tier 2 Skill Description: This technique is one a special teaching that is said to have a near 100% success rate(flavor text). Ondori attacks with a flurry of five strikes that are intended to be too fast for the opponent to register and defend against given they reach max speed instantly and don't slow down. Following the rules for speed skills, the attacks are just a blur for most people and they die before they know it. +.5 Speed to attack.


    Tier 3:

    Speed: 3

    Tier 3 Skill Name: Grass Cutter
    Tier 3 Skill Type:Melee Weaponry
    Tier 3 Skill Range: 0-25m
    Tier 3 Skill Cooldown&Duration: 4|Instant
    Tier 3 Skill Description: Grass Cutter is an attack using the Power of Destruction and while it has the potential to cause a lot of damage it this damage can only be done to materials, wood, stone, metals, etc. Cutting outwards, the user extends the effects of their cut through a single structure that their cut has made physical contact with. This effects the structure in a linear fashion following the arc of the cut, being able to effect up to 25m of material of a single structure. Even if there are inhabitants inside the structure cut, they will not be harmed by the cut being spread over the targeted structure, though of course the structure collapsing could cause damages.

    Tier 3 Skill Name: Fire's Hot
    Tier 3 Skill Type: Melee Weaponry
    Tier 3 Skill Range: Contact
    Tier 3 Skill Cooldown&Duration: 5|Instant
    Tier 3 Skill Description: Using the application of fire from the Power of Destruction Ondori super heats strictly the edge of his sword in preparation of what's to come. This super heating taking one post's worth of time, but during this post Ondori can still act as he normally would, cut people, etc, etc. Once this post of preparation is complete, upon scoring a direct hit, not a slight scratch/knick, a nice clean hit with his sword, he unleashes the heat stored in the blade to make the fresh wound erupt in flames lighting the target on fire. The fire can kill if it goes without being extinguished by the end of the 3rd post, causes 2nd degree burns by the 1st post, and 3rd on the second. The 3rd post would include the flames eating away all the flesh of the target and killing them in the end. The superheated edge creates a glow like red hot steel.

The distance one of these burst of speed travel is up to him of course, but only a total of 15m can be traveled with this skill and it only last for a single post. Increases Speed by a Single Tier during usage. The user has until the end of the post to use all of their steps, Ondori can attack during the steps or in between as he normally would.(i.e. 8m+2m+2m+3m or 6m+5m+4m+0m)

    Tier 4:

    Speed: 4

    Tier 4 Skill Name: Water Snake
    Tier 4 Skill Type: Melee Weaponry
    Tier 4 Skill Range: 25m
    Tier 4 Skill Cooldown&Duration: 6|1
    Tier 4 Skill Description: Water Snake is a two part skill that first involves using Ondori's aptitude for speed to cut fast enough to displace the air and create a powerful and forceful vacuum. This vacuum draws in all that is up to 10m in front of it at a T3 Speed in a conical shape that stretches out to 10m wide at its apex. This suction can pull in things that weigh up to 250lbs and cause moderate damage to your typical wood based structures in range of the skill. This is the first part of the skill that can't persist for more than a full post. The next part consist of Ondori cutting this vacuum, which destroys the vacuum and sends a multitude(15) air blades outwards that reach out 25m away and have t2 potency. The air blades are crescents in shape, no thicker than the edge of a typical sword, and are 2m in length. They are released in a conical fashion out forward that can be in a wide spread or more tightly concentrated depending dispersing cut administered. (stab or cutting the vacuum) The goal isn't for matter to reach the end of the vacuum, but should it, it'd suffer a collective of 2 inch deep surface cuts and expulsion out the end of the vacuum.

    Ok this is confusing me slightly. So is this just saying that he is just quick to adapt to situations or that he can change velocity of his attacks mid atttack?

    So other than just simply kicking up sand. Is is this supposed to blur their vision? If so how long is the effects of the sand blurring the vision going to last?

    Tier 1 Skill Description: Using his ability to adjust his tempo instantaneous, Ondori not only matches his opponents tempo should they be on the offense, but he also uses his keen reflexes to put up an evasive front to dodge attacks easier. Using this skill he can read and shadow the movements of those with Melee Weaponry Proficiency equal to his and Hand to Hand fighters with 1 less point in Hand to Hand than he has in Melee Weaponry. Used correctly he could slip into someone's guard or exploit a hole in a defense for obvious reasons.

    Needs a longer cool down 4 would do.

    Other edits made and no I can't insta change a leftward slash to right, but this is to say I could stop the slash, then begin another in another direction or do any action really. So it's not really changing the velocity as in no need to stop, he'd still need to gradually change the momentum, come to a stop, etc, just as anyone else could, but this is to say he could do it faster should he need to adapt to a new variable.
