1 Allen Yagami on Wed Dec 02, 2015 10:17 am

Name: Allen Yagami
Alias/Epithet: The Obsidian Dragon
Race: Human
Tier: 1
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Mode: Hard

Occupation: Martial Artist / Navigator
Affiliation: Marine
World Position: N/a

General Appearance: Allen is a young man of average height with a lean, muscular physique, which, over the course of time, has become heavily marred with scars. He has medium-length gray/white hair that has now grown to shoulder-length, silver/gray eyes, and his skin is somewhat pale. Allen has an unusual scar on the left side of his face that starts as a pentagram on his forehead, trailing down in a line that severs his eyebrow and mars his eyelid, and hooks slightly at his cheekbone and follows his cheek down close to his chin. It also has an extra line of scar tissue that runs parallel to his lower eyelid. As a child, Allen's hair was a more reddish-brown color; his hair turned white when his adopted father cursed him, leaving a scar on the left side of his face as mentioned above.

Height: 5'11''
Weight: 185
Crew Tattoo Placement: Left Pectoral

Personality: Allen is very shy and a bit awkward for the most part around people, though he's getting better. he's pretty modest and will blush most praise, no matterh ow much he deserves it. He is a very kind and laid back person, willing to help anyone in need if he has the time and resources. Allen portrays himself as a kind, generous, and very polite young man. He tends to be very self-sacrificing, often willing to let his body and emotions take devastating blows for the sake of others, no matter how against the idea they are. His reckless behavior to save others is likely what will kill him.

In battle, Allen is a different story. When his life is on the line he is nothing but focused. He has goals that he won't let anyone get in the way of. He's going to be one of the, if not the youngest Admiral of the Marines, no matter what he has to do to get there. Fueled by his devotion to his friends and allies, and tortured by the memories of his past, he goes into every fight with full force. Any battle is a chance to prove yourself, that is a mantra he lives by. You never know when a fight is going to change how people look at you. Of course, it's not how a man treats his superiors that makes people respect him, it's how he treats his lessers.

All around, Allen is pretty gentle unless you piss him off. Even if you do fight him, he probably won't kill you unless you do something incredibly severe. He's very forgiving when he really shouldn't be, but he's not one to be fooled by false kindness. He never shows it, but he's pretty good at reading people. Even if he knows you're lying, he'll play along just to see how far you'll go with it.

Likes: Friends - He holds friends near and dear to him.
Fighting - He loves fighting to grow stronger and to prove himself.
Food - Food gives you energy, and is tasty.

His scar - People pointing it out to him makes him angry.
His past - When he's told what he's comfortable with sharing, and you pry more, it upsets him.
Death - People dying is avoidable. He'd like to let everyone live if possible.

History: Allen was a wicked child, and his parents didn't know why. They thought themselves to be saints, and that they couldn't have done anything wrong to make him to be such a rude and vulgar boy. However, both of his biological parents were alcoholics, who never punished him for misbehaving, but instead beat him when they were at the peak of their drunken states. Both claimed to never have laid a finger on him, but they knew they were lying. They didn't have to courage to face it, but subconciously they were trying to kill him. Allen was born with a strange birth mark that nearly covered his left arm. They thought he was a demon, and wanted to be rid of him, but had to drink their liquor to get the courage to try.

Instead of kill him however, they only broke and defeated him, giving him nothing but hatred for his parents, and the world that let him live like this. It wasn't until he was supposed to start school and his parents refused to enroll him, that something was done. Allen was taken into foster care, to a home where he'd be accepted and loved. In foster care, Allen became much more well behaved through effective parenting, and grew more secure with himself and his birth mark. He stopped looking at himself as a monster, and instead cane to the conclusion that everyone else had problems because they couldn't accept it. To help them deal with it, he keeps it covered.

On his 13th birthday, he decided he was going to join the Marines. His foster father, Karis, didn't like the idea, and they were at odds for the first time since he came into their care. The year following would shape Allen's life forever. For twelve months, Allen and Karis would argue, while his foster mother stayed out of it. She wrote it off as just some sort of 'rebellious phase' Allen was going through. Karis however, was determined to keep Allen from joining the marines. He thought there was no way they'd take in a recruit who was blind in one eye. Sure, it was disgusting for a father to want to purposefully blind his son, but Karis was desperate. He knew Allen was stronger than him, so Karis sought help from a supernatural figure that lived in the mountains.

One day, Karis left, and never came back. While this witch he'd asked to help him was doing her work, Karis changed his mind. He realized that he'd made a grave mistake. He attacked the witch to get her to stop. Her mystic powers were too powerful for him to take her down, and Karis was killed in the struggle. Although the ritual was interrurpted partially, Allen was still left with significant damage to his left eye for awhile, and he was given a wicked scar to boot.

As soon as he was recovered, Allen enlisted in the marines as a recruit. His foster mother accepted that her son was just going to do what he wanted to do, and she didn't try to stop him. Instead, she supported his dreams and prayed every day that he fulfill his wildest wishes.
