Only about a day had passed since Linedwell's excursion into the caverns below. While there he'd been able to deal with the Ghoul menace. The beasts up above in the jungle were now safe and able to once again populate the area without threat of the parasitic race down below. Not only had Linedwell been able to destroy these beasts, he'd also been able to save two explorers from certain death as well. The two explorers later introduced themselves while giving a bit of information about why they'd even ventured out to this inhospitable place.

It seemed the two men were here on business, which was obvious enough. They'd been commissioned by a party they couldn't disclose to investigate this place for objects known as Poneglyphs. It appeared that these poneglyphs were inscribed with a text that most people could never hope to decipher, and even though these two men couldn't decipher the characters either they were still sent out to see if one truly existed here. After finding that none existed above ground, they decided to see if there was one hidden away in the caverns below. Linedwell nodded his head as he listened to the men, feigning a bit of his interest in the matter. It was until they mentioned the worth of these poneglyphs that he truly began to gain any interest. The thought of learning things from an era in time that nobody knew about was interesting indeed.

Information was always a hot selling commodity, and having lost information that even the World Government wanted to keep under wraps would probably be worth more Beli than he could ever count. Linedwell made a mental note of this as the conversation moved forward - he'd at least have something to discuss with his crew and possibly add to their future endeavors. Another topic they brought up was about having information regarding the whereabouts of a Devil Fruit on the island. They hadn't looked for the fruit as of yet, but as far as payment went and the fact that their lives had been saved due to Linedwell, they decided to give the information to Linedwell as payment. Whether he looked for the fruit or not was up to him though.

Linedwell graciously accepted the information and said gave the duo a farewell as they left the island. It was only after they left that he knew he needed to leave. He'd only been on the island because he knew people would assume an island such as Star Island would have nobody on it, but since he'd saved these two he knew they'd likely talk about the situation they were in with others, and with that others might attempt to come back to this island. With more people showing up the perks of the staying on this island and training would diminish into almost nothing. He'd be in competition when it came to dealing with the beasts on the island and running into other people wasn't exactly something he was looking forward to.

With his mind made up on leaving Star island, and Crescent island as a whole, Linedwell started making his final preparations to leave the island. There wasn't exactly much he had to do, but he decided that one last tour of the island would be good for him before leaving completely, as it was likely he would probably never return to this place - but then again, this wasn't for certain. This place held a charm that Linedwell had been slow to admire, but as his time on the island was coming to a close he found himself feeling as though he'd miss this hot, dirty, insect-filled place.

One thing that Linedwell could definitely attribute to this place was that he'd grown far more than he'd realized in the span of time that he'd been there. He'd been able to learn how to fend for himself in such a grueling environment, living off the land and pushing himself to grow stronger in ways he hadn't thought possible. He'd also learned a lot about himself in the solitude he'd been granted and to refine his motivations. The mental conversations he had with himself during his time alone allowed him to see just how far he'd be willing to reach his goals and to protect the crew he'd just formed with Isaac and Sever. Though he had faith in their abilities, the role of being a captain was something he never thought he'd attain. Most could say that it was something that was out of his personality, and they would have been correct, but the longer he stood in this role the more he wanted to prove himself an able Captain. The time he spent on this island put him in the mindset he needed to flourish as a captain of a crew, and that's what he needed more than anything.
